Yaliana Enid yeah I’ve tried looking online and there’s nothing lol. Weird business. I feel like if they sold on their website they’ll make more profit.
Hey guys, idrk abt it being international, but I live in the Middle East and I ordered from feelunique and they have other brands as well, really helped me when I tried getting my natural curls back and it was quite cheap (at least for my country)
I was undecided between the avocado curl activator and the original bc the ingredients are so similar, the original also has avocado oil in it so I ended up choosing based on scent and went with the original. I also style with a 9 row denman dupe that's actually from Cantu also, it's their black 'detangling' brush that I found at Target for $7.99 and it's great. They also have a 7 row for the same price but it's called something else and has a silver handle with red backing on white bristles.
Update: the original curl activator ended up being a bit too thick and heavy for my liking and didn't mix well with my Aussie gel so I exchanged it for the Avocado one and it's definitely different, It's lighter and mixes perfectly with Aussie gel. I actually like the scent too bc it's not Piña Colada like the OG.
Heyy!! Ive been forever wanting to try Cantu Creams but I really don’t have any ideas on what to buy ? 😅 My hair is frizzy and my curls are basically all over the place (not defined) do you have any tips or options of creams I can use for my hair? XO 💕
One of my favorite styling products from Cantu is the Curl Activator Cream! I’ve been using this since I started my curl journey and still use it till this day🙌🏽 always leaves my curls looking nice and defined. The original one or the one from this avocado collection both work amazing ✨
Thank you so much for reviewing this line; I love the Cantu Coconut Curling Cream & want to try the Avocado Curling Cream but can't find it anywhere! If I can find it online, I think I'll just buy it based on your results lol
Speaking of the shampoo, did you mean it was stripping like a sulfate or potentially even worse? My hair actually doesn’t do that badly with sulfates but stuff like Head and Shoulders has made my hair flaky from over washing. Would you say this shampoo is too clarifying too be harmful or just clarifying but not as hydrating.
Yasmine Ghazi hey I have wavy/ curly too. I only tried the original one but I definitely recommend it. I have 3 lines from Shea moisture, Maui moisture, and others and out of all of them, cheapest, has given me best results and now I know why. First the shampoo really cleanse well and removes all oils and buildup without stripping you out (olefin sulfonate is coconut derived detergent and it’s pretty excellent!) it’s one of what they use. Second the conditioner is very moisturizing again without weighing hair down, at least for me. I like to squish to condish and once I even left it for long while I shave my whole body, I was scared but didn’t weigh my hair down. The leave in (repair cream) does has dimathicone, but don’t worry, it isn’t bad like they trying to tell you and specially is great for damaged hair because it will seal in all the moisture and protect your hair. What I LOVE about it is it has collagen and protein, I take a small/decent amount put it on soaking wet hair. LOVE IT! Curl activator also has silk protein and silk amino acids, which are known to smooth, strengthen and give your hair body, also neem oil and a bunch of great ingredients!!! I than apply their custard to define (you can skip it and go to the next step) Than I apply their glue gel, or Jamaican castor oil maximum hold gel, or their mousse! I hope this isn’t late and helpful to you.
If you want you can get their leave in for natural hair, it doesn’t have dimethicone but I do recommend the repair one as it will benefit your damaged hair more. I wanna try their flaxseed line next!😍
My original cantu curl activator just finished, and I'm not sure whether I should buy the original one again or the avocado one, what do you recommend?
Honestly whatever one you can get your hands on first! To me they work exactly the same although the avocado one is suppose to be more hydrating 🤷🏽♀️ I love them both and get the same results no matter what
Hey girl this is awesome! I really wanted to try this collection. What is your curl type? I have very similar hair to yours so I would like to find out. :D
Yaliana Enid yes!! My hair is wavy & some parts are curlier than others, i use maui heal & hydrate combing cream , along with the shampoo & conditioner & its helped a little but not so much

SAME I have used Maui forever and now it’s not available. I’m so sad. Now I’m trying out the cantu avacado curling cream, since I don’t know what to use. My hair and the coconut cantu don’t go well. The Avacado one is okay, I mixed it with coconut oil. Now I’m waiting for Maui moisture to come back 💔
Yes. It isn’t about the type but your hair texture. If it’s frizzy, dry and brittle, yes. Get the original line. I just posted a comment for another girl. I’ll copy past it for you😅

I personally didn't like the avocado line, it didn't do anything for my curls, I especially hate the smell, it smells like dish soap
