I’m new to all of this. Enabled vnc viewer, downloaded vnc viewer, but cannot connect to my Mac. Vnc is no longer free, so I’m hoping there is a way to do this with a native screen sharing app on my Mac. Any suggestions?

Hey dude, thanks for the great content! Does VNC work (or can be set) via internet like TeamViewer, or only in local network? Thanks! :-)
Trying this and when I try to connect with VNC Viewer, it just times out. I can SSH in and it all seems to go just like yours but RealVNC Viewer just says "Timed out waiting for a response from the computer"
I have been building a custom 24 x 36 printer. I have ran into a snag I could use some help with. I loaded ocroprint on my raspberry 4 just fine. I installed the plug in for octoklipper and it went fine. I went threw all the steps of getting kipper clone and running makeconfig. It all went fine. I created the firmware.bin file and flashed it to the Octopus Max ez and it chander the name to firmware.cur so I pretty sure it went fine. But her is my issue. From this point the pi and octoprint can not see the board. When I run the ls command to find the address it says there is nothing found. When I try and open the configuration file in Octopus to edit it says file does not exist... What am I missing or what do I need to do different? HELLLLLPPPPPPP
When I run a ping command it says the host is down. So I guess my network settings or port forwarding is not set up correctly. Anyone have any ideas what I did wrong or need to change. Thanks.
Nice summary video, and I'm going to check out your license plate video as I'm interested in tensor flow lite. On a slightly picky not, during your installation of the R-Pi operating system you neglected to tell the user to click write while using the installer. Pretty obvious, but might confuse some.
Raspberry Pi's also used by ham radio operators to control repeaters like amateur television transmissions and digital communication through voice like the Star fusion and DMR,
I just use the RPI imager to burn the image on a USB SSD and connect it to the Pi and go. I never use the SD card. I don't know why nobody does it this way.
Totally agree, I use SSD for my main Pi and mini Sandisk USB 3 thumb drives for other remote Pi projects. Don’t see any reason to use SD cards these days.
SD card are very slow compared to SSDs even USB ones. But if you need a small embedded system which only need to execute few programs in loop it's almost unecesssary to use an SSD instead of an SD card since rebooting it will be pretty rare I guess.
@@plkh9602 Noob here....Im using a microSD card on my rpi4b 4gb. I use it for retropie...I noticed on sega dreamcast with metal slug mvc2 it lags, becoming choppy. Could the sd card be the reason? Ive overclocked the rpi and it has a cooling tower to aid in heat control. This fixed the lag for MVC2 but not on metal slug.
Thanks for the video! I haven't had a usable monitor and keyboard in ages. Also, I may have missed it but I didn't see where you updated and upgraded the operating system. If anyone would care to do so, it's: sudo apt update && sudo apt full-upgrade -y
Great video content but the delivery is too fast , you know the subject very well but your viewers do not and that is why they are watching and trying to follow along.

Try using hostname in VNC viewer. Worked for me.

I did all you said but when I ping it, it says "Ping request could not find host"

how to get the sound from the pi through VNC? Pls help.
Awesome video, headless was far less hassle getting set up (I dont have wired keyboards and micro HDMI cables)
Thank you for the help. Keep up the good work!

how did you format it to boot? what format mode did you use in disk utility? soo much so for the "complete" guide
it does it automatically lol

Glad to hear this, I’d assumed it was possible to skip the SD card, but hadn’t had it confirmed. Will do that!
Or perhaps included ROM storage like in modern smartphones in the next version release

What's the ram size of this raspberry pi 4 module B ?

This video would have been very good but was spoilt by the plinky plonk music noise
Quit the background music
