Using pi to run ownCloud server is probably the most useful case out of all.
Good news! RPI 4 is now back in stock. Hurry up before it's too late :)
Amazon: amzn.to/44rOHWg
I love seeing all the amazing creations people make with the Rpie. The ideas are limitless.
This is how I keep up with my programming skills. I get idea's from those creative minds out there. Either pickup their project or dab a little into it to improve it for my needs. Sometimes get a total new idea for myself sometimes. I own three Raspberry Pi's, but I also own like 8 SD cards with different projects on them. Swap cards and your Raspberry Pi can do different task with ease.
This was a great video. No 4 minute intro and life story or any words from their sponsor. Got right to it off the bat. Love it. Great video.
The video is coming at just the right time. Today, my Raspberry Pi boards arrived in the mail. It's making me feel inspired to do something great.
What did you make?
Wouldn't it be great if you could get a RPi for a decent price again? While its good that they are becoming available again, they are not worth $80USD.
I remember when the RPi 3 got released, it was only like $30-40
@@nasaman23 they're simply not worth the current asking price so it's Arduino for me
Huh. I have like 4 x version 4’s kicking about unused, and a pico in a box
They're really not that useful anymore in 2023
I bought a 3b for 20$ the other day
Most don't feel like a real project. Only something to spend money on
Great ideas!
If sorting basic objects is too much for you, spend the next 4 months creating a Pi-based sorting system, which when finished will save you literally seconds of time.
Great idea.

Excellent video, Good work. Keep it up.
The sorting robot is sick... def cant wait for my raspberry pi to arrive in the mail
These are all cool and people would LOVE to try them ... if they can get their hands on these things.
That sorter was the coolest ish I ever saw lol
I have been thinking about living on mars to much... #12-Solar tracker controller pc, #11 - Mars WWW/C.N.C/CDN system # 10 - Inventory sorter/regolith sorter, modded to be a pick and placer for production/harvesting needs #9 - Per specific server rack for unique loads.. (IE this is what we run the Base UPS or Primary DNS, SMB, SQLdb's, Etc), #8 Not really needed on mars. #7 Alt for #12 or for larger controller needs or rover controller/control station, #6 - built into the base, possible backup ones. #5 - combine with #10 for small harvesters/welders/cargo haulers (scaled up) #4 - Green house support/proper lighting for people. #3 - not needed #2 - meh maybe #1 - tho hacky, able to control #5... yep been playing to many mar's colonizers..
If you can buy an Rpi then these would be some great projects. Still so hard to get a pi though these days. Scalpers taking them all :(
This is one of the scalpers. He is advertising for one of the worst on Amazon. Do not use his link!
The sorting should be the way to go to handle recycling
I thought those were "project" ideas to build with a few raspberry pis... They are more "kits" to build that uses Pis.
Very creative , witch program you used for the 3D design ?
It is. Battery projector it shows like
Box but it hold power supply.
Great ideas. Not the same old.
Very creative 👏🏼 , witch program you used for the 3D design ?
Pockit should be No.1
Foreword: Create a product like this, and the Video community will shower you with eternal admiration!
Backstory: My desire is to use my Sony VX-1000 Camcorder without relying on tapes. The most straightforward approach would be to connect a Sony HVR-MRC1 memory recorder to the camera's Firewire OUT port. Regrettably, these recorders have been out of production for over two decades. Although they can still be found, I am reluctant to spend $400 on outdated technology. This led me to explore alternative options, but it appears that no modern memory recorder with a Firewire port is available anymore.
Consequently, I thought about building my own solution, but I lack the knowledge in electronics, programming, and coding required to do so. The only viable option is to assemble a makeshift solution using existing hardware. During my search, I discovered SCB's (Single-Board Computers). While they don't come with a Firewire port, they can be customized by adding one. My plan would involve installing Windows 7 on the SCB and connecting a mouse, keyboard, and screen to it. Then, I would run an application like WinDV to record the incoming Firewire stream.
Clearly, this setup is far from ideal, as it necessitates carrying around a lot of additional equipment. It hardly compares to the convenience of simply purchasing an HVR-MRC1. However, I remain hopeful that someone reading this might come up with an ingenious solution. Perhaps, by writing a script or firmware, the SCB could be made to operate without the need for Windows 7 and the accompanying hardware. I am not well-versed in this area, but I'm curious if such an approach could be viable.
Thanks.
P.s. Do you mind if I post this in other videos of yours so as many people as possible can see this? Maybe someone can help me out? : )
The CM4 Cluster and min server rack seem like really cool ideas for SFF budget home lab projects.
It's much easier and cost-effective just to buy the used intel-based mini-PC than assembling clusters of these CM4s...
If you can get some cm4 you are lucky
Bravo.......build a tuff book......EKG ecg heart monitor ..........slr radio frequency scanner.........internment center .....cheers
Good luck getting anything pi related these days
I am trying to replace RJ45 connectors with smaller SPE connectors
Scalper right here people. This is one of the people who have been gouging people on Amazon. Why anyone would support these people is beyond me.
Yawn. 5 minutes of my life I’ll never get back.
Interesting indeed. And someone who can actually pronounce _aluminium_ correctly!
Well its obviously aluminum. Anyone who says it like "aluminum" is an idiot. Its spelled out for you right there in the word.
Oh well, tomato tomato like i always say.
"sort the objects easily" now thats a lie
promoting pi projects doesn't help me in actually getting PI's for a decent price 😲
What are that games that are show in the game controller section?
❤
Read the room. Maybe 2024.
the RPI is basically dead at this point no one can get them
Nice video. Comes at the perfect time, you can go out and buy as many Pis as you like, so no problem. And building a cluster is also no problem. Just buy from some scammer and pay 140$+ for a Pi4 4GB.
What a joke. Pi company does not care about private users any more. Its no problem to buy a Pi4 as a professional customer, but good luck as a private one. Its a perfect business model. Use the community for years to create a very good ecosystem and then switch to professional sector. This way companies have less development costs, because they can use the available libraries for free...
What about making videos about Pi alternatives ? Pi is dead at the moment as private user...
We've made a video on Raspberry Pi alternatives also. Check that out.
pretty pointless if they can't produce Pis for a sensible price.
The Pi’s are produced for the same sensible prices as ever.
Sadly, scalpers and hoarders have raised the after-market prices. This is not under the Pi’s Foundation control.
buddy, once again it's a scalper problem. if they are in stock but not at a good price that is scalpers.
Oh I have to correct myself: yeah the production of raspberry pi’s is the the source of the pricing issue.
12 new projects for a product that is not reasonable priced and ruined by greedy people for good. Sry to say that, but that video is senseless
🔝🔝🔝
After I went on a weekend, I rebooted my pi after updates, it booted and started to freeze I waited it unfroze and I rebooted and it never booted again, I can flash the boot loader successfully, but booting to an os is not working.. some sdram error. how can I fix this ?
they should address the issue with the worthless IMAGER TOOL THAT DESTROYS SD CARDS TRYING TO LOAD THE OS ON THE CARD !!!!!!
useless projects waste of time
Pretty much useless....
