Wonderful video Pierre! The quality is very excellent for this report and although you did not seem to enjoy the A220 cabin as much as others I hope it was a good flight too

It looks like you arrived at the YUL terminal at 1 am which you stayed there the whole night! When I took the A220 on AC481 on 19 Jan, I arrived at the terminal by taxi at 3 am, already lots of people since it was just before COVID, went through security only to find my flight delayed by 2 hours from 6 to 8 am due to a mechanical check and a very bad snowstorm.

The views were absolutely amazing, great flight on the A220! Despite the bad the Legroom and IFE not working, still seems like an amazing product - have to fly on it next year 😬

Leg room is decided by airline, not the manufacturer

I looked up the 737-max 8 and it seems it has 30 pitch and 18 width while the a220 has 30 and 19 width. What makes the seat that uncomfortable? Another review said the seating on the a220 is better than the Max.

    Since Air Canada ordered A220s, Air Canada should order A319NEOs, A320NEOs, A321NEOs, A321LRs, A321XLRs, E190-E2s, and E195-E2s

Such a cute little aircraft but that legroom is horrible. Great lightning on approach. What camera or smartphone are you using?

@@JohnAnderson-sq8lt I've seen similar tight legroom on other A220s as well.

as I said, its up to the airline, on how many seats they want in the aircraft, the manufacturer puts in as many rows as the airline wants, given the maximum take off weight allowed for each aircraft type, I will give you an example, Airbus A319 for Air Canada 132 seats, same aircrraft for Air Canada Rouge 146 seats

@@JohnAnderson-sq8lt and that was my point back. Airlines seem to want to put in more seats on the A220, no fault of the A220 itself.

@@JohnAnderson-sq8lt exactly. And also based on exit limit. Hence the A350-900 and -1000 both have a 440 passenger limit based on the 4 exits per side. Imagine 440 on the A359 vs its bigger brother.

Nah, I’d rather take an A220 transcon due to the significantly wider seats over the others. Especially the 737. As long as I can fit with at least 1.5 inches ok knee room, I’m good.
