I am in YOW and we see those 319s doing the YYZ-YOW-YYZ routes every summer during the NHL offseason. Kudos to AC for marketing this as some kind of special event

Indeed it is, although the more my flight departure time approached, the more people I saw coming in. There were about 4-5 other flights departing between 07:00 and 08:00 AM!
I’m surprised that not many people would take advantage of the opportunity to fly that aircraft. Your aircraft was just as empty as Alex’s. It looks like it was a fun flight but too bad there was no service, THAT would have made it even more worthwhile. Thanks for taking us along.
That also surprised me, but at the same time the tickets are like 3x more expensive than economy on the regular mainline flights. I think that this may have turned off some others, but there have been a handful of avgeeks that took advantage of this though!

Great review! It's so weird seeing YUL empty like that. A mixture of the early departure time and the current global situation played a part in that.
