Rise of the Third Power is probably the most criminally overlooked rpg of this gen. Good pacing. Simple but mechanically diverse units. Solid script. Fairly cheap. Needs more eyeballs.
Pretty much just some of the best more recent rpgs ever, on any platform and not just tied to the switch. though it is the best platform if you want them physically for sure.
Just the fact that you can make that argument just comes to show how well we are eating for game releases. Both are great in their own right and though chained echos is more involved as a story, it just can't quite catch me like sea of stars did. Though to each their own since i own both 👍
Chained echoes is the most overrated rpg since crosscode. Its solid. it's far from great. The writing is complete amateur hour. To even attempt to defend how cliche it is is mind boggling. Every mech fight is void of any depth and plays out identically. Side questing is mostly stupid and largely fetch questing. There's a ton to like about it but its not a masterpiece at all. Its an outstanding first outing. But its overrated.

There is no way sea of stars is better than chained echoes.
I do think sea of stars gets a lot of unfair flack in the rpg community, since I thought it was excellent, but yeah I think chained echoes was better
Sea of stars looks better but both great games. No need to compare aslong as they keep making these better than AAA.
