I wanted to clear that up because the increasing amount of comments assuming I had _"a group"_ that consists of the same, unchanging, group of people, is ridiculous lol
I made the mistake of sharing Jackbox with my family and now every week, sometimes multiple times a week, I'm forced to partake in games with my little brothers. When almost half of the players either don't know how to spell or still in their potty humor phase, (and unironically enjoy Earwax) every match is robbed of any fun. Pack 3 is ruined for me.
something ive found with people ive played jackbox with is that they either absolutely love push the button or absolutely despise push the button with no in between
In my experience, mind I haven't played in a bit since mine is one who doesn't enjoy it, it comes down to group size and general skill. What typically happens is a group of 5/6 boots on and the aliens single out the least confident/weakest player. Hack spam them while throwing all but 1 alien under the bus, and either toss that person out with the bad player or get the good alien in the captain chair for the analysis chamber and they end up being the convincing factor. From the outside in, it seems easy to read, but you can almost never tell unless the good alien somehow gets sussed out which is very hard if they start dividing the hacks between others to add confusion. Overall, it relies on having a group that knows what they're doing, or a big enough group where there's not enough confusion to be spread very easily by hack spamming.

@@timeparadox999 Valid, I said in mine above that the game really requires everyone know what they're doing/be a big group. Not a big sell for a game if any player just doesn't like the format
I’ve never had a bad Champ-d up round. Even when there is unbalanced artistic abilities, sheer creativity and comedy can help even the playing field. My perfect jackbox game
My favorite kind of rounds are the bullshit ones that everyone's seen at least once, they go a little something like this: Champion: "Literally just a rat" Opponent: "My rat-stomping boots"
Tbh that's why I think it deserves 3 stars, it's an S tier game if you have ppl who are down to freestyle, but the problem is this game is so much harder to convince ppl to play versus other jackbox games
I personally consider 5 my absolute favorite pack for this reason. Madverse, Split the room and Patently stupid are my favorite games of any jackbox game. And then the You don’t know jack in that pack is probably my favorite trivia game. Zeeple dome still sucks ass though
True. If you are not close enough to the people youre playing it to the point you can rip their self esteem apart with a sick rhyme, you're not playing Mad Verse City to its full potential. Its so much fun
Zeeple Dome is an absolutely miserable experience. My family tried it once or twice, and half of us quit after one round. The other half quit after the second round.
It would probably be decent if it wasn’t tied to a jackbox party pack. The awful lag, and the fact it’s completely different from all the other games and not really even a party game, make it the obvious last spot in any Jackbox ranking… honestly it would be awesome if some of the Jackbox devs got to branch out and make a game like Zeeple Dome that isn’t dependent on the Jackbox games server. I’m sure if Zeeple Dome was divorced from the party pack and able to play offline, it might have a small audience. Not me though, even with no lag i don’t think I’d enjoy it unfortunately! Definitely makes me wish a different game could get the standalone from Jackbox treatment in the future.
I definitely do like how QL3 has 3 safety quips tailored to each question rather than being generic ones that you have to hope apply to the prompt. One funny one I remember seeing in a video was the question “What stops a boomerang from coming back?” having a possible safety quip of “Their pride”
This video made me realize that the tier list for jackbox games really depends with whom you play them with. For example, my group really despise Poll Mine but are in love with Survive the Internet
Honestly I’ve found that if your group decides to go 100% in on junktopia it’s one of the funniest games in the franchise. Everyone stands in front of the audience to present and the laughs always come from the insane delivery. Playing it on discord or twitch ruins it imo. My friends and I love it. We also occasionally use house rules, where for round 2, you HAVE to use the mandatory item, and have to choose another player to present for you like talking points- you can either have everyone choose whoever is to your left or right, or just do first come first serve, that way you can write your answer with someone else in mind. I encourage everyone to try it, it’s very fun!
Junktopia resulted in some of the funniest stuff we did on stream. It works especially well if you have a dark sense of humor. Plus, the presentation phase isn't for everyone, so allowing the option to rely solely on the cards helps include more people
I've found theming all your items for a round can also add to the hilarity, like the time I had to desperately come up with a way to tie a mystery item to an ongoing narrative about my ex-wife Karen who took the kids I had a friend once invent a story where he was trying to sell off CLEARLY incredibly cursed items by claiming "it's DEFINITELY not a cursed portrait his eyes are just like that!" and it was so good 😂
I'm glad you acknowledged that lots of people still enjoy certain games, even if you personally don't. I always have a blast with Mad Verse City with my family, and we actually find the TTS one of the funniest parts! Thanks for another great long video to sit back and watch.
Absolutely the same in my group. The abject shittiness of the TTS is 100% part of the appeal. That and coming up with terrible robot rapper names. 3-JAC-U-L8, anyone?
Blather Round might be, without exaggeration, my favorite Jackbox Game and i absolutely agree with your criticisms. I really wish it had gotten post-launch updates to add more prompts. Also marking one of the three prompts as "Easy" just kind of dissuades people from picking that one, even if the prompt isn't inherently easier. Unfortunately I can't imagine it's going to get a sequel that fixes these issues. It just wasn't that much of a runaway success.
Yes, it is an absolute favorite in our group too, and, yes, we also wish for more prompts to be added. It is a fantastic concept, totally on par with, say, job job.
Super funny seeing the contrast between friend groups with Jackbox games. I personally have a group full of artists, and some of our favorite games rank lower on this list lmao
Yeah, that's Jack, the logo for the original You Don't Know Jack, and later the company logo when they rebranded to Jackbox Games (formerly Jellyvision).
The biggest problem with earwax isn't the fact that it's just about funny noises, it's the fact that they don't randomize the order of answers. So you can have an 8 way tie because people can tell who did what
talking points feels like your own little Impractical Jokers “presentation” challenge and I love it every time. I don’t even play jack box and I loved this video
I’ve been a jackbox fan since 4 came out and watching these videos slowly come out have solidified them as not only my favorite party games, but some of my favorite games of all time. Thank you for making these videos they have genuinely made me love this series even more.
@@SNAKESSMANDONUT they both have the theme of working a job, but they are both different. I would reccomend playing fixy text because it's genuinely hilarious.
I love that you have the pack included in the editing on this! Super helpful as someone who is looking to build their library but only had the funds to do so selectively lol
If you're ever looking to expand your collection, keep an eye on humble bundle sales. A while back I grabbed almost the whole set (minus the most recent entry or two) through HB when it was on sale for $20 and have seen it go on similar sale a few times since then You do have to play through Steam rather than on console afaik, but for in-person games I just hook an HDMI cable up to my laptop so everyone can see the game on the TV
I love Weapons Drawn, but likely for the wrong reasons. Despite its shallow complexity I love hiding the letters and scanning my opponents’ pictures for theirs. I haven’t had a bad experience with this game yet!
Definitely seems like that game is great with the right group, but if your friends are lame and don't want to put in the effort than it makes it difficult to enjoy
Our family plays Guesspionage most times we have game night. An inside joke we have is "when in doubt, go 42%" and noting that these questions were asked in 2016 so think how people would have answered some questions then (as some answers would probably be very different in the wake of covid) Trivia Murder Party (1 or 2) is ALWAYS our starter game on game nights. Sister often wins lol
I'm SHOCKED to see Push the Button at number 1, but I get your reasonings. I agree with all your points honestly, but my two main reasons I wouldn't put it as highly for my own list eould be that my main friend group hates social deduction and ruin the experience for themselves and everyone else with constant complaining, and that I just love doing social deduction in person more than in a game. (Frankly though I'd still rate this higher than Fakin it despite it having mainly IRL elements)
Dude you were so mean to The Devils and the Details, that one is so fun to play with friends just to hear them all babbling random instructions that sound hilarious out of context.
I'll be honest, I only really played it once when the pack dropped, then never again. I feel like, if me and my buddies understood the gameplay better, it would have been more solid, but I'm getting the impression that the slight learning curve threw off new players. Thanks for leaving your opinion, I'll personally make an attempt to try again knowing that it does bring some people joy
It's honestly so fun! It reminds me a lot of Spaceteam with the cross talk. I think the idea of "oh you can exploit this game" is silly for what is basically a co-op game
Jokeboat is one of very few games I have played I loved it, but only because the tagline or whatever for one of my pals was “laughters a dystopia” and the remainder of that call devolved into “literally 1984” jokes It was insanity 10/10 would do again
With the right energy the biggest weaknesses of joke boat become its greatest strengths. It's no longer about telling coherent jokes with setups and punchlines that make sense. It's about filling the room with as much existential dread as possible while repeatedly kicking the dead horse of your group's chosen inside joke of the night
It's even more surprising how many of these really long games are in more recent packs. It feels like this is an issue that would plague games in earlier packs before they learned to avoid it, but instead I think they're trying to come up with more complex games for later entries, which ends up dragging out otherwise-fun games into slogfests
@@Flameclaw123 it's so frustrating because they can add options to speed things up but they never really do. ability to skip more cutscenes, shorten timers, cut the round count, etc there are many games that would decent but are ruined by being total slogs to go through. i expect a party pack to respect everyone's time and allow for more customization
Russian adoptation/translation team actually made a mod to Earwax named MP3-dumpster, where promts and sounds are memes and pop-culture references, and this mod is extremely fun and absolutely hilarious. Someone need to do something like that for original game
i honestly think push the button is terrible because of one inclusion: hacks. aliens can just hack a player and make them incredibly suspicious, and the only defense is basically just "i got hacked." and if you're an alien, and you get sussed out for answering a question wrong, they can also just say "i was hacked." in my experience, it always turns it into nothing but a guessing game over who's lying on being hacked.
i disagree but i also understand on why you would dislike it for that. it's very much a game that sort of relies more on you trying to catch your friends slipping, and if youre not good at reading people, then it won't be any fun. because while there is hacks, they're limited, if you count how many times people claim to have been hacked, itll eventually be glaringly obvious that one of the people who claimed that lied, which narrows it down a little because you already know who's claimed it up until that point. I think it's also a game that works better with a big group because the hacks will never go above 3 iirc, so when youve got ten people and there was up to 4 people who claimed they were hacked, that would be 4 people you already have as suspects to pay attention to. even less if one person tried to claim it happened to them multiple times. so it does heavily rely on 'can you recognize when your friends lie' won't argue against how chaotic it can get though LOL my friends have definitely still ended up in loud arguments over whos lying. but im a weirdo that likes big fights when it's under the context of a silly game, it's cathartic to let that out and then go back to chilling after the game ends
I can see this being a complaint the first few times you play is but having played the game with friends for years at the point we’ve gotten good enough at keeping a fast pace that we can test people A LOT of times which helps draw more clear trends. It does also help that my group also plays it for the fun of it and will sometimes put down and answer for comedy which helps give the aliens a better shot
I like how Trivia Murder Party is such a perfect concept that it’s still in the top ten despite being objectively outdated compared to TMP2, I guess TMP just stays winning.
Roomerang shouldn’t be punished for not forcing people to perform the trait, I think most games will usually not be fun if the people you’re playing with aren’t entertaining the premise.
I agree, I don't think it's a Roomerang-only problem. There are tons of Jackbox games that get completely ruined if someone decides to be an asshole or goes super competitive with it, but which are some of the most fun I've had with my friends if everyone decides to have a chill time and do what's funny over trying to win. A lot of experiences just depend on your group
Exactly my opinion. Same with him having similarly punished Weapons Drawn for the fact people could choose to just not draw the prompt, I think that's really unfair.
I've been genuinely thinking since pack 6 that considering people always seem to have "favorite" games, we should have like a "build your own pack" game where you can download/buy specific games across pack history, SEPERATELY. I do understand that it might be a bit tricky to manage but I genuinely feel (especially for people who only own 1-2 packs or none at all for that matter) that it would be a major success.
I’m not sure what games you play of Monster Seeking Monster (MSM) but I’d argue there’s a bunch of counters that make the zombie and mummy role less one sided. First, there are many roles that rely on rejection to get points. For example, the mom, who gets points for another player not getting dates. There’s the vengeful ghost that gets points if rejected which can make it hard to spread a curse to them. Also, the two faced creep HEAVILY relies on it two since their role’s main edge is rejecting and dating players and usually when this role is revealed it can make it hard for the player to date again. The ventriloquist also needs rejection as that’s their way of getting bonus points. Another point is the fact that some roles simply don’t want to date, whether it’s because they only want to date one person or multiple people. A a vengeful ghost who’s not getting dates may go more offensive, a body swapper may date one person and that person might not be infected, roles like the serial killer also try and clump up their dates which can isolate two people from infection/curse. If there’s any role that role that’s super overpowered it’s the leprechaun. The role gives people fake hearts, shooting them up to first, and thus revealing their monster before the leprechaun. Not only does it do that it GAINS points for causing players to drop in the ranks when the fake hearts are dropped. Usually this role gets revealed late game and can get a lot of hearts as a result (I’ve seen people gain 3). (I just wanted to get that off my chest think however you please)
The main problem with your reasoning is that the roles are random. If you're in a game with a zombie, you're not guaranteed to also have one of the roles be a not dating role.
Great video, probably the most entertaining ranking thing I’ve seen in a while. To give one suggestion, though I don’t know how helpful this is since it’s already made, when talking about the music, play a quick 5 second snippet of the song! That’d be fun
Thank you! I sample a lot of music in my full reviews; For the purposes of this ranking video however, I wanted the video to keep a consistent pace to it.
Your ability to analyze party games and dissect what works/doesn't work is astonishing. You're very good at understanding game design, better than I would. I'll often watch these and appreciate the games themselves more. Great stuff
Junktopia is really hilarious when everyone does a full genuine presentation imo. I do see how it wouldn't work on discord or something. I've only bought 3 and 9, but I'm defending 9 with my life, so many memories 😭
Actually in Juktopia there's the "Presentation mode", where you are supposed to add some more details while talking about the product. That's way better and it's the only way we play it with my friends. It becomes like some sort of "sales pitch" we could say. You have the name, the picture and 2 lines... but you CAN talk way more about it and SHOULD. Add some jokes, add some tag lines and flavour!
As someone who's favorite Jackbox game is Roomerang, I was pretty disappointed to see it ranked so low. I do understand your problems with it though, as there isn't anything binding you to whatever role you give yourself, and there's no real stakes since getting kicked out just brings you right back in. For me and my group of friends, we love leaning into the reality TV show aspect, writing stuff that'll ruffle someone's feathers or just get a huge laugh out of everyone. And of course, I'm absolutely in love with the game's art style, host, and overall personality, it all hits the mark for me. Even with games like Quiplash available, we always prefer playing Roomerang since it gives a little bit more depth to our answers. I respect your opinion to not like Roomerang, I just wanted to voice why I love it so much.
i really don't get how anyone can like push the button. from my experience, it's one of the worst social deduction games i've ever played. the concept is fun, but the game is just way too skewed in the alien's favour, to the point where i don't think the humans have ever won when we've played it. the number of hacks the aliens get is far too high, basically making any information you gather meaningless. there's really no way to tell if someone is getting all the prompts wrong because they're an alien, or because the aliens are just targeting them with hacks every round. and because the humans need to guess all of the aliens in one go, and only get one chance, it's pretty much just a tossup with no way to distinguish between aliens and heavily targeted humans. just a note on what you said in the video, about saying "i was hacked" being suspicious. this may be true, but if all of the aliens and 1 or 2 humans are all saying it repeatedly, then there really is no way to distinguish them, and because you need to get exactly the correct people, and you only get one shot, it's still basically a random shot in the dark to hope you vote out exactly the correct people.
It sounds like the group you play with is too slow. U can speed thru the info gathering process and test every person several times, which pretty much weeds out all the hacks by the end.
I've had a few similar experiences. Once, I was one of the people chosen to do the Bioscanner task, and I failed because the person didn't know you had to talk. Suddenly, despite having a completely clean record earlier in the game, everyone thought I was an alien (I was a human).
Have you played Blood on the Clocktower? It's my favorite social deduction game ever, and it also has players always involved despite there being an elimination mechanic, as ghosts have one more vote throughout the game and they still win with their team. Additionally, every player has a unique power, and some powers only activate after death!
I really wish I had more people to more consistently play "push the button" with; its probably the Jackbox game with the biggest "I wish I played this more often" deficit in my mind. I will forever be a stan of Quiplash, which is my favorite Jackbox series. Every form of it, even with their flaws, just tickles a very special part of my brain. I love improv comedy, and while presentation games like Talking Points and Patently Stupid are fabulous for this, sometimes the shockingly succinct, 1 sentence responses to the prompts you're given can be infinitely more memorable and potent than an entire meandering presentation of improv. And Trivia Murder Party, I mean, you have to respect it. It is abundantly clear that it is one of the most polished, well made games in the franchise; great sound design, presentation, trivia, mini games, and the fact that the game can end in a variety of different ways makes it really fun too. It's pretty obvious that one of the main reasons why Trivia Murder Party is so many people's favorite game to play, is because it's obviously one of Jackbox's favorites too. And you can tell this, simply by how much effort went into the project.
I remember playing fibbage and trying to make a lie but then the game says something like "you can't enter the truth as a lie" so with blind stupid luck i guessed the truth as a lie
Interesting note as a British player - we found Guesspionage almost unplayable because of how reliant its questions were on American culture, a problem not many JB games have had since. Example from your video is questions about Walmart, which we just don't have. Hopefully they keep the trend of broader appeal going!
Another British player here, definitely glad a lot of the later games have a filter that removes a lot of the USA-centric content. Even luckier, I have two groups, one is full of Europeans where I'm usually the host and the where I'm the only non-American in the group and they're still nice enough to turn on the toggle for me.
Australian here, had a LOT of similar issues. Oftentimes me and the rest of the group are guessing because we have no idea who the celebrity is, or a random American place or thing.
I think what fascinates me most is that even games on the bottom of this list can still be extremely funny when played with the right friends. I watch Radio TV Solutions for this exact reason, and my first experience with Fixy Text and Word Spud was through them - both of which made hilarious results simply because their humor revolves around nonsense text and obscure references. It certainly does depend on who plays it and I find that super interesting
This is an interesting video on your thoughts on all the Jackbox games. I respect your perspectives, but at the same time I feel like a lot of the people who like Survive the Internet (myself included) never really dealt with your first primary criticism of the game. 100% understandable, but I never had that problem in my social circles.
I would say Fibbage and its variants definitely make for my favourite jackbox game. With the simple concept having developed over ~10 years, it makes for great fun
As someone with a friend group who LOVES bracketeering, it’s really all about getting attached to a certain answer. Sure, it might not be as inherently funny the second or third time you see it, but when it’s a really good answer it sticks with you to the point of rooting for it (even if it isn’t your own). It honestly feels like a battle between titans when you reach the finals because of all the iconic matchups along the way.
And this is why I own 3 and 7. I hate social deduction games and not a fan of straight trivia games, but seeing everything explained makes me want to get some more party packs.
Great video. Nothing beats Bracketeering in my friend group. Ton of laughs and it's always a good time debating on which of the answers is the ultimate funniest. The mixed prompt rounds are the cherry on top. Definitely agree on Devils, the only game my group played which absolutely no one liked.
I'd say that Survive the Internet, Roomerang, and Tee K.O. 2 should be much higher, Bomb Corp should be near the bottom, Weapons Drawn should be above Civic Doodle, and Poll Mine and Dodo Re Mi should not be near that high.
Roomerang has such a GOOD premise that wasn't taken advantage of. My problems with this game are that because you know exactly who wrote each answer, there’s more incentive to vote for the player that’s losing instead of the player who actually had the funniest answer. Also, towards the end, if you don’t have many points, it’s nearly impossible to win. I normally don't care about winning in a Jackbox game but I do in Roomerang because of how competitive it is. I also agree that Weapons Drawn should be higher. I think it's weird that Silok says it's "too easy to cheat", but that's never a problem for my group since we actually play fairly. I actually think I prefer Weapons Drawn over Poll Mine, but Poll Mine is incredibly well executed. I don't have any of the other games you mentioned so I can't say anything on them lol
Never played these games, or even heard of them before this channel. I have basically no one to play games with, and a friend group of like, 3 people max. So while I'm not the target for this at all, it's still super cool to see the variety and incredible art styles at play, alongside the focus on communication and real-life interaction in a multiplayer setting. A lot of these feel like really fun Game Jam ideas that were actually expanded into proper projects.
I can never find anyone on twitch anymore playing junktopia. It's always trivia murder party or blather round or fibbage. I don't play jackbox for trivia I play it for word prompts.
Some of your lowest ranking games are my absolute favourites! Weapons Drawn and Devil and the Details are some of the most fun I've had playing Jackbox. Weapons Drawn though you REALLY have to have the right group of people who are willing to play a practice round. But once you get into it, it's really fun and I really do love it. Plus, the music is probably my favourite of all the Jackbox games. I would say, even though you don't like those games, they should at least be above Hypnotorious. Because that game is pretty much unplayable because of how broken the mechanics are.
biggest issue i’ve found with most of the trivia games is how american the questions are imo. more of an issue with the older games but still present in recent instalments
At least two other people have said it already, but you might like Blood on the Clocktower. It's a social deduction game, in the same vein as werewolf/mafia, but everyone has a role. Clocktower, imo, does a great job of making sure that dead players are still just as involved as living ones, while still having consequences for death, both good and bad things can come of it-sometimes simultaneously-for both teams and it's a really fun time for everyone involved.
You should try out blood on the clocktower since you enjoy push the button It's a social deduction game similar to mafia or werewolf but focused on character information and the principle that even if you're dead, you are participating in the game (you can still talk and oftentimes dead people are the ones who influence the game more)
Truth be told, fixy text is probably the hardest my friends and I have laughed while playing a jackbox game! I think the humor for me comes from the context in which the message we sent is! Half of my friends would try to follow the prompt, and the other half just types the most random malarky ever, and we get a message that might as well be a keyboard smash. I find it to be a butt-load of fun, but I can totally see why one would dislike it :)
Surreal to see you got this finally done, good stuff! A lot of this video was repeating what you said in the OG reviews but that's totally understandable given this new context of comparing them all to one another, and in that regard I think you succeeded. I never gave Push the Button enough of a chance.. I should try giving it another shot.
God, every so often poll mines will be GOATED and have questions where you rank the people and that would be legendary. If you voted on categories in general, it would go from like perfect to immortalized best game It’s still my personal favorite
@@silokhawkPeople apparently managed to datamine the existence of the Naughty Pack in advance through the Jackbox portal or something like that, and we have a pretty good idea of what's coming based on that Spoilers: Drawful and Fakin' It sequels and seemingly a new game themed around CAPTCHAs, though Jackbox also managed to leak plans for Trivia Murder Party 3 on a livestream a few months ago
Hey, if you love Social Deduction games you should absolutely try Blood on the Clocktower. Its quite possibly the most balanced and enjoyable deduction game ive ever played (and ive been playing them my entire life now). One person needs to be the "storyteller" (gamemaster) tho which can be daunting to do if youve never played before, but this is honestly part of what makes it so great, because unlike games like TOS where evil might just lose out of a critically unlucky circumstance (sheriff picks them n1 for example), storyteller can reroute the game if that happens and try to balance things out with future shenanigans. Super fun in person or online!
OH and also just like Push the Button, when you die you are still extremely relevant during the game! You get one ghost vote, and you still are allowed to talk to anyone and everyone, you just don't get your ability! Also there are 3 different scripts and a ton of custom scripts that means practically endless variety.
That was fun to watch! I sadly can't play these much myself, since I have no friends, but I DO watch Streamers play them a lot on Twitch, so I know most all the games very well. Some of your choices I don't agree with, but for the most part I think your list is pretty good. But, one thing...on Guesspionage, the percentage is based on your audience's votes, not on just some random vote the creators did.
One of my favorite moments of playing Blather Round was when someone of us guessed "snail" or "robo snail" and one of the next hints we got was "It seeks the debris" and the prompt ended up being a Roomba 😂 to this day I fondly remember "it seeks the debris" thanks to that game lmao
The only issue with Civic Doodle for me and my friends is that is always ends up becoming Sansciety Which is just an amalgamation between Sans Undertale and The Joker
_For those who never watched the full reviews:_
Each game has been played in-person, over Discord, and over live stream; numerous times with a huge variety of different people every time.

Opponent: "My rat-stomping boots"
Mad Verse City is honestly fantastic with the right people
Tbh that's why I think it deserves 3 stars, it's an S tier game if you have ppl who are down to freestyle, but the problem is this game is so much harder to convince ppl to play versus other jackbox games
Same with split the room
It's my favorite Jackbox game
I personally consider 5 my absolute favorite pack for this reason. Madverse, Split the room and Patently stupid are my favorite games of any jackbox game. And then the You don’t know jack in that pack is probably my favorite trivia game. Zeeple dome still sucks ass though
True. If you are not close enough to the people youre playing it to the point you can rip their self esteem apart with a sick rhyme, you're not playing Mad Verse City to its full potential. Its so much fun
I find it funny how Zeeple Dome single-handedly put Jackbox 5 as a whole in 6th.
Zeeple Dome is an absolutely miserable experience. My family tried it once or twice, and half of us quit after one round. The other half quit after the second round.
@@SnancyNegative I never had a good time in Zeeple Dome, even on Discord with minimal latency with friends.
@ It would probably be alright if it wasn’t a server-ran game with unresponsive controls and a low framerate.
As it is… it just isn’t a Jackbox game.

Which is why it's good that theres so many different games.
Noooo poll mine but the vibes are so good D: but that’s to your point, jackbox has 10/10 IGN a little something for everyone 👌

people don’t get that job job is like, one of THE funniest games. played it at a house party and we had an absolute blast!
Plus, the presentation phase isn't for everyone, so allowing the option to rely solely on the cards helps include more people
I've found theming all your items for a round can also add to the hilarity, like the time I had to desperately come up with a way to tie a mystery item to an ongoing narrative about my ex-wife Karen who took the kids
I had a friend once invent a story where he was trying to sell off CLEARLY incredibly cursed items by claiming "it's DEFINITELY not a cursed portrait his eyes are just like that!" and it was so good 😂
Yes you always gotta do the custom comments though
EXACTLY
TRUE
It’s me and my family’s favourite too
Yes, it is an absolute favorite in our group too, and, yes, we also wish for more prompts to be added. It is a fantastic concept, totally on par with, say, job job.
My fav too for sure
Another great thing about TeeKO is that it has the most charming characters.
Oh hi.
@@bivcbmtgstgtssscqcrddgtrsm2257 Hi! 😂
I think my favorite is the snake who’s like “i may not have arms, but my love for tees is unmatched!” Haha
Super funny seeing the contrast between friend groups with Jackbox games. I personally have a group full of artists, and some of our favorite games rank lower on this list lmao
I'm an artist as well, though I can see the argument that the games would be easy to exploit.
The guy with his head poking out of the box (Jack, presumably) looks like the “my students are all morons” guy
Yeah, that's Jack, the logo for the original You Don't Know Jack, and later the company logo when they rebranded to Jackbox Games (formerly Jellyvision).
@@SNAKESSMANDONUT I wonder what his students are like

The biggest problem with earwax isn't the fact that it's just about funny noises, it's the fact that they don't randomize the order of answers.
So you can have an 8 way tie because people can tell who did what
talking points feels like your own little Impractical Jokers “presentation” challenge and I love it every time. I don’t even play jack box and I loved this video
I’ve been a jackbox fan since 4 came out and watching these videos slowly come out have solidified them as not only my favorite party games, but some of my favorite games of all time. Thank you for making these videos they have genuinely made me love this series even more.
The moment he put fixytext in 50th place i knew this was a COMPETETIVE jackbox tierlist.
😭😭
right?? fixytext is one of my group's favorite games, its so stupid but thats why its so so fun
right. i think his friends might not be funny lol enough every time ive played ive been on the floor from laughing so hard, win or lose
I haven't played that Jackbox games, but I'm pretty sure FixyText is very similar to Job Job, a game I like. Is that true?
@@SNAKESSMANDONUT they both have the theme of working a job, but they are both different. I would reccomend playing fixy text because it's genuinely hilarious.
I love that you have the pack included in the editing on this! Super helpful as someone who is looking to build their library but only had the funds to do so selectively lol
If you're ever looking to expand your collection, keep an eye on humble bundle sales. A while back I grabbed almost the whole set (minus the most recent entry or two) through HB when it was on sale for $20 and have seen it go on similar sale a few times since then
You do have to play through Steam rather than on console afaik, but for in-person games I just hook an HDMI cable up to my laptop so everyone can see the game on the TV
I love Weapons Drawn, but likely for the wrong reasons. Despite its shallow complexity I love hiding the letters and scanning my opponents’ pictures for theirs. I haven’t had a bad experience with this game yet!
Same!
Definitely seems like that game is great with the right group, but if your friends are lame and don't want to put in the effort than it makes it difficult to enjoy
Our family plays Guesspionage most times we have game night. An inside joke we have is "when in doubt, go 42%" and noting that these questions were asked in 2016 so think how people would have answered some questions then (as some answers would probably be very different in the wake of covid)
Trivia Murder Party (1 or 2) is ALWAYS our starter game on game nights.
This! Devil is a Top 10 game for me. It’s so much fun to have everyone talking out loud and shouting things across the room
I LOVE Devils! It’s hilarious when, at a party, someone walks into the room and is wondering what the hell is going on
Jokeboat is one of very few games I have played
I loved it, but only because the tagline or whatever for one of my pals was “laughters a dystopia” and the remainder of that call devolved into “literally 1984” jokes
It was insanity 10/10 would do again
With the right energy the biggest weaknesses of joke boat become its greatest strengths. It's no longer about telling coherent jokes with setups and punchlines that make sense. It's about filling the room with as much existential dread as possible while repeatedly kicking the dead horse of your group's chosen inside joke of the night
it baffles me how many games are severely hindered by taking way too long
It's even more surprising how many of these really long games are in more recent packs. It feels like this is an issue that would plague games in earlier packs before they learned to avoid it, but instead I think they're trying to come up with more complex games for later entries, which ends up dragging out otherwise-fun games into slogfests
@@Flameclaw123 it's so frustrating because they can add options to speed things up but they never really do. ability to skip more cutscenes, shorten timers, cut the round count, etc
there are many games that would decent but are ruined by being total slogs to go through. i expect a party pack to respect everyone's time and allow for more customization
More customization is always good, 1000% agree with that
its been almost 4 years since the first jackbox video 💀💀
I did not know that its has been this long...
I think it's also a game that works better with a big group because the hacks will never go above 3 iirc, so when youve got ten people and there was up to 4 people who claimed they were hacked, that would be 4 people you already have as suspects to pay attention to. even less if one person tried to claim it happened to them multiple times. so it does heavily rely on 'can you recognize when your friends lie'
won't argue against how chaotic it can get though LOL my friends have definitely still ended up in loud arguments over whos lying. but im a weirdo that likes big fights when it's under the context of a silly game, it's cathartic to let that out and then go back to chilling after the game ends
@@KITTYMANYAthe hacks are 2 per alien so if you have 3 aliens you have 6 hacks. It is hard to coordinate with the other aliens though
@@crunchytoast6007 oh shit really? I swear i've never seen it go above 3 hacks. maybe my memory is just terrible lmao

I like how Trivia Murder Party is such a perfect concept that it’s still in the top ten despite being objectively outdated compared to TMP2, I guess TMP just stays winning.
It rocks, i haven’t played 2 yet but i eagerly await playing it in the future

Guesspionage is my FAVORITE jackbox game and it's nice seeing someone not hate on it for once!
Yeah, it might get criticized for inaccurate data, but it's still a top 10 game.
It might be a bit forgettable for me but i remember liking it every time I’ve played it with friends 😄👍
Disagree simply because playing up the personalities is the main appeal of Roomerang otherwise you might as well play quiplash or job job
If you're in a game with a zombie, you're not guaranteed to also have one of the roles be a not dating role.
agreed lep is busted
Thank you for appreciating Job Job so much, it is one of my favorites, if not my absolute favorite jackbox game!
job job is so underrated in general so i’m glad to see it rated highly here, it’s led to so many of my favorite jackbox answers ever

I sample a lot of music in my full reviews; For the purposes of this ranking video however, I wanted the video to keep a consistent pace to it.
It's disappointing that DodoReMe was stuck in party pack 10, this game deserves a sequel in either a better party pack or just as a stand alone game.
I think it’s worth mentioning that Dodo re mi is even fun when you’re just playing alone by yourself

My friends get so into it, I love it.
Talking points in person is the absolute best jackbox experience I’ve ever had
i really don't get how anyone can like push the button. from my experience, it's one of the worst social deduction games i've ever played. the concept is fun, but the game is just way too skewed in the alien's favour, to the point where i don't think the humans have ever won when we've played it. the number of hacks the aliens get is far too high, basically making any information you gather meaningless. there's really no way to tell if someone is getting all the prompts wrong because they're an alien, or because the aliens are just targeting them with hacks every round. and because the humans need to guess all of the aliens in one go, and only get one chance, it's pretty much just a tossup with no way to distinguish between aliens and heavily targeted humans.
just a note on what you said in the video, about saying "i was hacked" being suspicious. this may be true, but if all of the aliens and 1 or 2 humans are all saying it repeatedly, then there really is no way to distinguish them, and because you need to get exactly the correct people, and you only get one shot, it's still basically a random shot in the dark to hope you vote out exactly the correct people.
push the button is so comically polarizing i cannot explain why i like it
It sounds like the group you play with is too slow.
We played a round where the aliens didn't use hacks at all, and the humans only BARELY won
It’s either you hate it or love it, it’s only for some people but not all
Have you played Blood on the Clocktower?
4:00 Hey, it's me being stopped right there! That's pretty cool ngl.
I remember playing fibbage and trying to make a lie but then the game says something like "you can't enter the truth as a lie" so with blind stupid luck i guessed the truth as a lie
7:52 it took me a second to realize that you used the DIG DUG exhibit from Namco Museum Vol. 3
Babe, wake up. Silokhawk released a new Jackbox Video!!
Silok, no one else may have noticed but I deeply appreciate the SSX Tricky music in the background. One of my favorite games of all time.
Nevermind, just saw another comment about it 😂
devil and the details at 1 star is actually jaw dropping, it's actually probably the most chaotic and fun game with friends.
SURVIVE THE INTERNET IS EASILY 4 STARS CMON MAN
And this is why I own 3 and 7.
I find Bracketeering's 16-player count to be high enough to have a lot of fun, and is helpful for when I'm playing with more than 7 other people.
34:50 Nice of you to put the truth pun into the fibbage segment lol
Your Jackbox videos are awesome!
Junktopia is one of my favorite Jackbox games, just trying to salvage whatever you chose is comedy gold
I can never find anyone on twitch anymore playing junktopia. It's always trivia murder party or blather round or fibbage. I don't play jackbox for trivia I play it for word prompts.
NEW HOUR LONG SILOKHAWK VIDEO DROPPED my day is made !!!!!
I remember one time I got caught in Push the Button, but I ended up using some psychological tricks to get my teammate safe, thus winning the game.
This video is peak 👑
Some of these placements are utter insanity, fun video though
Earwax is actually so solid. It's one of mine and all my friends favorites when wanting to just have a chill goofy gaming time
I never thought this would be a video I’d be super interested in watching but I was wrong . Thank you for the good video ❤
I agree with every game and rank
At least two other people have said it already, but you might like Blood on the Clocktower. It's a social deduction game, in the same vein as werewolf/mafia, but everyone has a role. Clocktower, imo, does a great job of making sure that dead players are still just as involved as living ones, while still having consequences for death, both good and bad things can come of it-sometimes simultaneously-for both teams and it's a really fun time for everyone involved.
You should try out blood on the clocktower since you enjoy push the button
It's a social deduction game similar to mafia or werewolf but focused on character information and the principle that even if you're dead, you are participating in the game (you can still talk and oftentimes dead people are the ones who influence the game more)
Fixytext is absolutely HILARIOUS when you play with the right people, especially online.
Most people's main issue with FixyText is that is it basically a worse copy of Job Job, which was only 2 party packs earlier, and quite popular.
Holy shit what a banger of a thumbnail!!
7:07 I’ve personally laughed some of the hardest times ever playing Civic Doodle and seeing some of the monstrosities we create😂
God, every so often poll mines will be GOATED and have questions where you rank the people and that would be legendary. If you voted on categories in general, it would go from like perfect to immortalized best game
It’s still my personal favorite
12:03 Oh shit! It's me! I remember playing with you on this
LETS GO BABYYYYYY SILOKHAWK JACKBOX VIDEOOO
HELL NAW BRO SPLIT THE ROOM AT BOTTOM 40 IS DIABOLICAL
Yoooo this is what we’ve been waiting for! I’m gonna truly enjoy this video! What are your thoughts on the naughty pack by the way?
I'm intrigued! I'm going to hold my thoughts until they show some games though.
@@silokhawkPeople apparently managed to datamine the existence of the Naughty Pack in advance through the Jackbox portal or something like that, and we have a pretty good idea of what's coming based on that
Spoilers:
Drawful and Fakin' It sequels and seemingly a new game themed around CAPTCHAs, though Jackbox also managed to leak plans for Trivia Murder Party 3 on a livestream a few months ago
blather round is so good. also, quiplash 3 prompts definitely have a lot more pop culture references that tend to fall flat
I recommend checking out Blood on the Clocktower, I think it is the peak social deduction
One of my favorite moments of playing Blather Round was when someone of us guessed "snail" or "robo snail" and one of the next hints we got was "It seeks the debris" and the prompt ended up being a Roomba 😂
to this day I fondly remember "it seeks the debris" thanks to that game lmao
The only issue with Civic Doodle for me and my friends is that is always ends up becoming Sansciety
Which is just an amalgamation between Sans Undertale and The Joker
Absolutely wild to see this series wrap up (for now) after 3 years what a crazy fun lil journey
