Gecko just announced they will be doing a B version as used in France as well (looks more like a C to me, but whatever). Great time for early war panzers in 1/16!
Lately I've been having a very hard time painting with Ammo One Shot Primer - it clogs up the airbrush incredibly, cleaning it is a real chore. What primer do you recommend the most?
A beautiful level of detail. Will be ordering a couple of these for sure! 👍👍 A QUESTION for Andy: I would think that it would be easier to align the parts for the lower hull by (a) putting together the side pieces of the lower hull, then (b) assembling & aligning the bottom, front, rear & side pieces together before (c) attaching the suspension system & wheels to both sides. Is there any reason that it would be absolutely necessary to follow the order that you showed in the video, rather than what I have described here? Thanks!
The viewing angle at, 23:02 gives a great view of how close the turret design is to the Panther. I could be wrong. The the view of the three versions was really enlightening as to their size and development. That Panzer 1 looks no bigger than the boxes from stoves or refrigerators that we'd play tanks or fighter pilot with, crazy huh?, ha ha.
HobbyBoss have some 1/16 Marder’s coming and the re-boxed Panda Hobby 38T. Trumpeter I think a JagdPanther. Obviously Andy’s Tiger and Sherman. Classy Hobby have a few Stuarts and Lucas. There’s a growing compendium to Panzer I Takom variations. Some Willys Jeeps.
Great tutorial, I'm new at model kits building and am curious about the tools. Do you carry all the items used in your your stores? I'm interested in the tweezers and models potty.
I am currently building my kit now, and it is very ill fitting, the front and rear hull mating to the sides is ridiculous, the fit is horrible. I didn't even attach the suspension, the hull sides were clean and it was a nightmare, i couldn't even imagine trying to glue it together with all that hanging on the sides! this kit is not for a beginner. I can see why Andy glossed over attaching the front and rear hull parts.
I know they would likely be ludicrously expensive, but I would love to start seeing 1/16 full interior models.
Awesome video Andy. Can't wait to see the magic you do with the paint.
I have to say, you picked the right model for that Tiger. So excited for that one!
Fantastic kit. Cheers as ever Andy.
I agree David
Superb kit, superb build as always,

Im into 1/16 scale rc tanks and i use these kits to add some realism to my rc models. They are great for that
Looks like a neat little tank when finished, yet I sense an old school dragon parts count with a comma in it.

Thank you for sharing, it looks like a beautiful kit.
Those three look so cool together. Nice kits!

Hey Andy all you need now is a panzer4 then you will have a complete display of the panzers used in the North Africa campaign

How about new figues in 1/35 ?
Anyway thank you Andy

good looking kit
Good man! ;) You know there are metal tracks in 1/16 for panzer I available? But unfortunately (not now) for this litte tank :(
Great video!
Looks good Andy, is 1/16 scale the future of armor, do you have a clue of what coming for the rest of the year or is that top secret

can never get enough 1/16 kits

Andy if you can, how did that upper part of the hull fight you? Was it just alignment issues?
Omfg I really want to go to your shop but its to far away 😩😩😩

Thanks. LOL Thats a little better size for me.
I like thus tank model I have yet to order one it will be a tedious build but, not the first I dud one of them
OooH! Nice!
Nice! Is there an Afrika Korps figure for this kit?
Красота! А где купить такую же подставку для клея 16:30?
Is an full interior in the works?
キット紹介👍
What is the figure you are using?
Think to me this has shelf Queen written all over it. Really avoiding this one
If you think this is a shelf hogger the Takom 1/16 Panzer 1 with the demolition charge is the same length has a tiger 1 hull
@@keithparkinson6170 I have the Ausf b one the tracks are a nightmare so it’s currently in the display cabinet without any
One of the most tedious builds I've ever completed.
From watching the video it does seem massively over engineered
Awful lot of interior bolt detail for no interior.... yet?
@@markfergerson2145 The gun assembly/sight is a nightmare, fiddly parts that will never be seen and very weak location points. I gave up on most of it
Looks over complicated to me!
