Yesterday was brutal...30 minute ride out of Manhattan in traffic felt like I was baking in my mesh jacket. Don't underestimate how quickly heat exhaustion can creep up on you.
Since the day you first picked up your bike I've watched every video and you've made huge improvements!! I got my triumph bobber a month ago starting my course end of next month.. be safe young man!
Remember to stay hydrated. you easily lose focus on a bike if you don`t, drink before your tirsty or it might already be to late, then take breaks as you do.
Lane splitting/ filtering is for our safety as a rider you don’t wanna be sitting at the fbd if the line where any vehicle can possibly smash into you. Get to the front and always stop at an angle where you can ride between the cars if you do stop at the end of the line. Front wheel lined up with the space in front of you for a quick exit if needed
Add tapping the blinker cancel button to some other thing you do allot. Say something like (clutch in - shift gears - clutch out - cancel blinker)... Do that over an over even though your blinker is usually not on. Eventually it will feal weird if you don't tap it after shifting. Muscle memory.
It's pretty bad here in Alabama too, 85 today with over 100 heat index and this has been a cool day, its been above 90 with above 105 heat index for weeks, worst I can remember this sunmer was I think 98 with 117 degree heat index. You just can't ride during the day, even with no gear you will get a heat stroke.
Hey man! what camera settings are you using? I'm not getting near this color-scheme of video - you are on the DJI Action 4 right? It just looks so good!
How often do you wear your boots? I went to cyclegear and they highly recommend wearing boots. I work in the hospital too but don't got a locker for shoes for me to leave at. And I'd hate to carry covid shoes in my backpack. Our bikes don't really have great storage either 🙁
Could you tell me the deets of your insurance? Liability, uninsured, collision/comprehensive deductible. On your other video you mentioned you paid 1.1k or 1.2k a year I think. Here in NorCal for that exact bike I was quoted 2.2k, 2.6k, 3.6k, 3.8k and 5.5k. I'm 32 with a clean record. I wanna get that same bike so bad, but insurance kills me. Been watching all your vids, keep em coming brother!
Try Getting a quote from Foremost Insurance for liability and theft only. They have good rates for Northern California. Comprehensive crash protection really drives the cost way up. If you have a drop you can fix it yourself usually. Good luck
@@moto.nyc718 I was wondering what your speed setting was for the shift lamp. Mine was 10259 which I thought was high because I can be in 6gear only doing 35 mph. I read another person had theirs at 6000 when the shift gear illuminated
Hi, I really enjoyed your video and would love to work with you on a motocycle bluetooth radio, but I can't find your email. Could you give us a chance to work together?

Congrats on getting a bike! And you got this!

This ☝🏻
The FDR in traffic was horrible during this heat wave, stay cool out there. Hydration pack is a good idea.
😮💨 that may be the next gear on the list

@@moto.nyc718 - Thank you so much! I'll be experimenting with this!!! Looks awesome and keep posting
It’s been pretty hot over here in the PNW as well.
Stay safe out there!

I wear regular boots most of the time…but for me i dont have to worry about storage since i have a locker 😅
Wow, you've really improved a lot! Has it just been practice or did you take a driving course?
Thanks! I havent taken a class since
I've only driven to work one day since I got my 500. The heat sucks, but I love the rain so far. It's like 105 here when I ride home :(
I feel you man! This heat is no joke haha
You don’t drive a bike… you saying you like riding in the rain?
@@_750ZO yeah just rode home in the rain today
G'day from down under mate. Always enjoy your ride vlogs. Have you thought about possible mods for your bike? Perhaps a slip on exhaust or such?
Possibly an exhaust later in the year!
Yo, I'm kinda struggling to pick between the ninja500 and cbr500. What would you pick and why?
Id say you cant go wrong with either! Try to sit on both of them and see which one you’re more comfortable with!

Hey what is your engine speed setting for the shift lamp?
Right now it’s still factory settings lol. But i may try to change it soon! Have to look into the manual on how to do it

Hey man not sure if you knew or not but dandanthefireman had a video that included you at the very end of it about 2 weeks ago lol.

one plus side of living in socal is nice - there's great weather 90% of the time 🙂
It's been more than a month you know plenty, you can stop using the "beginner rider" title to draw in views
Damn your no longer a beginner after a month? That's all you get?
@@mooretalk5351 if you ride for 30 days straight without fucking up once then yeah I'd say you're not a beginner
@@Sqippywho are you to judge HIS progression and or decision for HIS tittle I’m just saying 🤷🏽♂️
He kinda made it clear and also in other videos that he doesnt always rides his bike.
