Oh wow! I hope they didn't get any damage. It's very windy here today also. Too windy for me to film. When I was filming this it was about to blow me over a few times so I stayed home today. I gotta pick branches up all over the yard. Lol. Are you filming right now?
My sister lived just up on that hill overlooking the town! I was always fascinated by the shear size of that bridge and just how dominated by railroads the town of Kenova is. It makes you feel like you are living in a life-size model train layout designed solely for a railfan's enjoyment haha
This area is incredible! Visited both sides of the river several years ago. The big bridge is a marvel of construction. the shorter spans are all around 300 ft +/-. The center span is 500 ft plus! This bridge was new in 1914 and was built around the old bridge to keep trains running and on the original piers. When finished the old one was removed from inside with very little traffic disruption! Another good video!
Jaw Tooth nice show. As I was looking at that trestle and seeing all those man safety places, with White Railings, along the bridge I was thinking they might of been for something else. Just the other day was a post of an old steam engine crossing a trestle in AZ. along the bridge were all those man safety places but each one has a barrel. One common said they were Fire Barrels, anyone have an answer.
Brave man being so close to a NFS train with how often they seem to fall off rails these days. In another tone, beautiful bridges and really cool seeing trains go over.
Back in the late 1960s, I spent a lot of time photographing (what was then the Norfolk & Western) trains crossing the bridge. At that time, the bridge had a platform on both sides, so you could stand at track level. The reason the platform was there was that N&W was still running passenger trains. The station was located on the geographic west side close to the C&O tracks. The platform and depot were removed some time after passenger service ended on May 1, 1971.
From Deb…JT, the trestle footage was epic. And I personally loved the lone locomotive as it’s striking looking so close up with the back end leading. Great video. Thanks so much for making these. I really appreciate it.
Really love that trestle. Train tresles always make the hair stand up on the back of my neck because of how much weight they have to hold up. Great video.
THAT is an amazing trestle + bridge. That first train looks so cool with all of the uniform hopper cars--like a giant caterpillar! great video--thanks!
Awesome location! Always cool seeing trains going across that trestle. Lucky that broken down tree didn't end up on the tracks! And just enough light on the night time catch! Great video JT! 🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚂💯👍🇺🇸
I can only assume when they say knock down a signal they are referring to it reverting to a more restrictive aspect. Either way a very clickbaity title on an average video. Not sure why its being commented on like an Oscar winner tbh.
The block signal changes from green to red at 2:10. Just when the engine passes the signal post. The block signal is at the top of the post. I’m not certain what the lower signal on this post indicates. It could be the state of a switch (turnout).
You absolutely need to visit the Huey P. Long Bridge in New Orleans! It is one of the tallest train bridges in the world and one of the longest as well! The official longest train bridge in the world is right next door at Lake Pontchartrain at almost 6 miles long!
That is pretty cool! My wife's house is in South Point, we split time between there and my house in NW Ohio... driven under that trestle many a time! Thanks for sharing 🤠
Looks as though you were running late this morning. Usually always you upload at 7:00 AM CDT. Glad to see you finally uploaded a video today! I watch your videos every morning, and also your silly shorts as well. Have a great one!
Nice bridge for train watching. We have a Nature trail nearby that has a UP track overhead. It's so neat to have the train literally over your head as your walking Have a great weekend. Thanks for sharing your vids.
Very cool! I would like to film from that trail. I take my bike with me sometimes to film from bike trails or in city areas where it is difficult to manoeuvre my truck
That stop sign was shaking a bit from vibration ? Wild bridge we have one similiar in edmonton crossing north saskatchewan river...th jt ..safe weekend to you and family . Prayers to all in storms
It was very windy. Almost too windy to film. Today it is even worse and I had to stay home because of the wind. We have a wind advisory in effect with winds up to 55mph
Love the train videos. I use to subcontract train wreck cleanups and material transfers. I worked the Denver 53rd and Fox St. railyard for BNSF. and a 7 state region around Colorado. Retired now but still miss the trains. Thanks!
So cool, nothing like a train in the air !! Really nice night shot, your camera does a fantastic job with night lighting... your hired 😂 Excellent live action Video son !! Never give up !! 👍👍👍

The trains were busy on the day we went there. CSX had some really long ones but for some reason the NS trains weren't monster trains like they usually are. At one point we got 4 trains in 45 minutes so I will have a couple more good videos from here. Thanks for watching !
Another masterpiece from J.T. This man never runs out of top notch locations for videos. Love the still shots at the end. That trestle looks like something I tried to build with my Erector set years ago.( Now I'm dating myself).☺️- Steve G.
Hi Brian today is March 25th Saturday I was in Parkersburg around 3 p.m. there was at the parking lot near the point I could see a train coming over head on The Trestle that follows the river there is a train going across the river that was at Green Street and Division Street the train following the river had five locomotives
UK/Another excellent vid of ultimate freight haulage and great location at that bridge.Massive trains with capacities that couldn't be accommodated here.
Thank you for this tease video of some of the trains that you saw in the Kenova, West Virginia area on 2 March 2023, Jaw Tooth! That was a great catch of the Norfolk Southern train on the trestle knocking down the signal. The flashing red light on the rear of the Norfolk Southern local engine that was coming at us was an end-of-train marker. The conductor more than likely attached it to the engine when they dropped off the cars that the engine was pulling. The lighting at the Ashland, Kentucky Amtrak Station was exactly right for you to capture the CSX mixed freight that passed you. I am looking forward to see more videos from this this latest trip that you made to the Kenova, West Virginia area.
Really cool to see that big train running over that big bridge! Or is it a "viaduct"? It may be camera perspective, but it looks like the track is descending as the train completes its crossing and exits the bridge. Is the track actually descending, or is it just the ground coming up at that end of the bridge? Also, NICE closeup view of the CSX "big ole freight train" at the Amtrak station! I really like closeup views of freight trains passing at speed.
Did that lone locomotive have a FRED on it? What? The bridge is awesome and the night shot was NICE. I never miss a video, JT. Thanks so much. Kenova is a good place to watch trains.
That bridge in Kenova, is so impressive love seeing big trains Crossing over this immense bridge. Nice job catching that train in Ashland as well. Great job JT.👍🏼🤩🚂
Great good made video, mr Jaw Tooth. More see this location in Kenova but never trains over that CSX lines under the long bridge over the Ohio River. Maybe later please? Greet from Zandvoort the Netherlands 🇾🇪🇺🇸.
Wow, massive structure....reminds me of something funny that happened to me. I was riding as a guest with some rail speeder people and was on an old Fairbanks putt putt......when we crossed a bridge similar but not as high or long as this one....Man the butt pucker was awful.........Ever ride on one of those old "pick-nick tables with wheels and a motor"?
Cool signal knockdown and that's a huge trestle! Just a few minutes ago NS train hit 2 trees here, we have 60 mph winds today!
Oh wow! I hope they didn't get any damage. It's very windy here today also. Too windy for me to film. When I was filming this it was about to blow me over a few times so I stayed home today. I gotta pick branches up all over the yard. Lol. Are you filming right now?
You young people, I swear in my day I we'd duct the camera to our hands. Then have someone tie us to a tree. 60mph winds be darned. And we liked it!😂😂

Just hope all the rails are safe. Love your enthusiasm. You don't have to give up playing with trains just because you are an adult. Love it!
That's a great spot to film trains at that trestle. That CSX train at night was a good catch too. Great video!
Wow the looks and sounds of trains on that long trestle bridge is unreal! Superb close-up job on the CSX night train!!
I love bridges. The engineering just amazes me.

@@joemc111 that’s correct. Years ago and bridges were made of wood they kept the barrels filled with water just case of a fire.
The shear length of your railways assembled rolling stock is impressive.
