We really liked your videos on these topics, diet and seborrheic dermatitis. Fantastic advice, and very helpful to everyone. Keep going, and GOOD ON YOU. 😄
You are spot on, clean food is a clean body. Must say that stress is also a big factor in having Dandruff/Seborrheic Dermatitis.
Keto changed my life.
I have seborrhic dermatitis as well.
I'd get it really bad in my eye brows. I was spending 20 minutes every morning, picking loose skin out of my eyebrows because having dandruff in your eyebrows is extremely embarrassing. After doing research and finding out that it's caused by bacteria that LOVE sugar, I cut carbs out, and it all went away.
Really? What do u eat then?
@@dancemonkey118 Mainly animal products.
I eat a lot of eggs. I cook with butter. Salmon. Fish. Beef. Chicken. Veggies like broccoli, cauliflower, lettuce. Avocado. I buy 0 carb tortillas and keto bread.
I still eat sweets. But I mainly bake them myself with erythritol sweetener.
Drink mainly water. And diet soda if I get the craving.
I'm not Keto, so much as I am low carb. Nowadays, you can find low-carb anything. So it's not super hard to do. Just intentional choices.
I do still have fun, and eat out, and enjoy food. But it's not every day. The thing about this bacteria, is that it only gets this bad if it's fed sugar every day.
If it only gets sugar from time to time, it won't get enough to breakout.
@@schec1015 are you totaly clean? I also dont eat sugar and harmfull things but i eat fruit. Also bread. But i still have dermatitis 😭
@@dancemonkey118 I had to be totally clean before I saw the effects.
I would try to go a full month with no carbs. No bread, rice, pasta, candy, baked goods, etc.
Just eat meat and veggies. Except potatoes. And for fruits, stick to small amounts.
Nuts are also good.
Something is causing your dermatitis, and until you probably won't find out, until you cut the causes way back.
has it fixed your condition? i have same issue with the eyebrows
Well done dude great video and channel too
Thanks for this video 🙌🏾
Thanks for sharing brotha. I’ve had a very similar situation. An animal based diet is what helps me. Very similar
Hope u will make videos about skin and hair care routines and living a healthy life 🤍🤍
The actual truth is that its elevated Insulin that is causing the issue. Insulin increases IGF-1 which increases sebum (skin oil) production. It also changes the composition of the oil coming out. Yeast that are normally present on the skin have more food to consume (the sebum) and they rapidly multiply causing all the symptoms. By lowering carb intake, you reduce IGF-1 and sebum production. Yeast have less food and they don’t multiply causing issues. Increasing IGF-1 through raising insulin also causes inflammation which doesn’t help. Carbs aren’t the only thing that increases IGF-1. Dairy is the other huge culprit. Dairy contains active IGF-1. By eliminating both all carbs and dairy. You should see it disappear. There’s a lot of skin diseases that are linked to carb and dairy consumption. All because of elevated IGF-1.
Acne, Dandruff, sebborheic dermatitis. Now why don’t all people get these conditions when they eat carbs and dairy? Well it all depends on how many copies you have of the IGF-1 gene. These copies tell the body how much IGF-1 to make during puberty. The more IGF-1 your body produces, the more chances of these skin diseases. Somebody with clear skin who doesn’t get dandruff and acne, is most likely to have a lower IGF-1 level naturally. Even when they consume dairy and carbs, the elevation in IGF-1 still isn’t enough to cause issues. Food it self is not the issue. It’s the hormones that food influences that are causing the problem.
ooooh,, this!
Nice infos 👍
I'm suffering a lot. Can you please help?
Will appreciate it.
Thanks
@@taimour111 I finally found a dermatologist who solved it completely for me. I had incredible amount of Seborrheic Dermatitis.
Medical dandruff shampoo+
a mixture of:
350g olive oil
30g salyslic acid
20g huile de cade used for 3 days

weekly cortisol lotion
After its gone in the first week just doing that cycle for one day a week then once in 15 days. So its all under control
@@eunice8337 how severe was your seborrheic dermatitis?
Hey Alex, great video! I've had seb derm for the majority of my adult life and only in the last 12 months have realised that it is what I'm eating. I've been on the 16/8 diet too and have been eliminating gluten recently. I don't have my condition under control yet, but on a mission to do so. Your videos on this have been really motivating, thank you! Have you heard of the low FODMAP diet? I'm just about to start this. Basically with what you described you are eating in a similar way with the exception of garlic and pistachio. Perhaps that will fix your remaining 10%!
Hi! Could you please give us an update on your SD now? I hope you got rid of it.
Thank you in advance!
Facts how’s it going man?
Make a video on skincare routine designed for seborrheic dermatitis
no skincare routine will be needed if u follow this videos advice, it works like magic
Your hair is beautiful and thick. Healthy eating and low carbs will help keeping it that way. Thank you for helping others…
Sounds like your just eating healthier foods in general. Now time to hit the gym and up the protein. 💪🏼
High Animal Fat and Animal Protein diet changed my life for the better as well. I was always hungry and deficient and hungry as a vegan.
i will never go back to vegan
Ive had dandruff for about 20 years and always remedied it with toxic shampoos and over the counter meds which worked for about a week, then would have flare ups again.. never even considered my unhealthy diet.. thanks for your information bro
KenDBerryMD also talks about this issue. But this video is also solid. I'm starting tomorrow. I'm tired of this dandruff shit plus I have to cut the sweets and bread anyway
Did the diet helped?
@siddharthrawat955 it did for me. Also I started using a shampoo with ketaconazole 1%(in my case Nizoral). Not entirely sure which one it was but my dandruff is gone. I enjoyed the dieting experience, not so strict now but it was good. Sunlight also helps
@@vasid2991I thought sun light dries your scalp?
Those headaches could also be from being dehydrated like most people are. And no that doesn’t mean drink more water in general but make sure your getting the electrolytes and micro nutrients you need
So I shouldn’t be drinking lots of water? Should I be drinking Gatorade? Honest question

great video. I have scalp condition purigio nodularis along with dry scalp. I eat a not so healthy diet with lots of bread and tortillas. I am trying to change it to help my scalp out. This video was helpful.
I just made a comment about how I eat alot of breads and carbs but not so much dairy but I did Start eating and drinking yogurt as of yesterday Activia guess I gotta stop that too but bread is definitely the #1 culprit in my diet
Make your weekly haircare routine plz 😎
Just wondering, do you have to constantly have to cut your hair? I notice in your videos that you're always cutting your hair, but I don't know if that's because you're a barber or your condition.
I see someone people mention having acne. I will tell you that pasteurized foods can also be a cause. So any nut milks, or nuts in general can cause acne too (Some people forget about these being pasteurized). If you're like this, doing carnivore can be even more limited than normal. Unless you can get access to the original, unpasteurized goods.
Hey are we allowed to eat free-gluten dark bread?(just 1-2 slice a day) Cuz I am About to die not eating carbohydrate
really helped Ty :)
Have you tried adding back rice, gluten free sprouted oats, other grains to see needed to remove all grains etc?
So...I'm suffers from same problems so I will try this decision . 🤞
I'm female and have had sebderm since 2012. I have more or less an idea why I have it but i can't seem to pin down the pattern for my SD triggers. I am now willing to fully revisit my diet because I think it'll also affect my acid reflux. My question is: what do you do when you have social events or eat out when the choices are not exactly fully in your control? Do you make room for these moments and allow yourself to eat something else?
What about your hairfall?
I have sebderm as well. If you go low carb, like less than 30g daily, you'll see your sebderm disappear.
And as long as you're consistent, eating cheat meals at social events every once in a while, shouldn't be a problem. Sebderm is caused by bacteria. They feed on sugar. But they need daily sugar to manifest. A one-off meal here and there, won't be enough for the bacteria to come out.
I also have acid reflux. I spent 7yrs guzzling down tums every day. Intermittent fasting helped me with that. I just made sure not to eat after 6pm.
Combining low carb, with intermittent fasting, worked wonders for me. This is all my own findings.
Did you loose alot of hair? This stuff is driving me crazy!! I just got diagnosed with it and I'm 56 years old!! Went to a dermatologist and she barely even looked at my scalp so I'm thinking about getting a second opinion but in the mean time I need to cut out bread big time that's my biggest problem
Thanks a lot
What about sweet potatoes (non grain), organic fruit, raw honey?
I wish I met your channel a lot sooner. My friends thought something was wrong with me because I would get headaches so often. Anyways I finally went carnivore and boom within 1 week my daily headaches were no more. I don’t eat vegetables. I lost 20 lbs on carnivore, and I was already skinny. Now I weigh like im a teenager again except I have abs now lol.
That’s why I don’t wanna go on a carnivore diet cause I’m skinny af rn (130 lbs) and I don’t wanna lose weight, imma probably go on a ketovore diet
Gym will help you gain more muscle on this diet
Hahaha you dont know yet what are the long term side effects of being a carnivore..😜😜 i have been on keto and carnivore diet for 3 years and i tell you, it's not good

I also unironically broke the diet on purpose for 2 days and my head immediately started itching like mad.

It’s crazy how small tweaks to a diet can fix a lot of issues. I fixed a lot of shit especially some of my dermatitis from stopping to drink tap water and going to bottled - sparkling of course.
going to try this as well, never thought that the water could make ot worse!
do you also use a shower filter?
No didn’t go that far tbh - really worth a try tho - worked for my daughter as well
do u live in the US?
I don't drink tap water but I think changing shower head to filter shower head will.help tremendously with all the contamination in water that could be a big culprit as well
I waited for it
Do you have to go high enough fat / low enough carb to be in ketosis for the results you are getting? Or is just low carb but not quite ketosis enough for you? Many thanks
It's not related to Ketosis, it's related to the carbs that turn into sugar.
@@2WheelsGood.01what carbs don’t turn into sugar?
Pretty good video; I have also made changes to my diet, reduced the dairy products (still can get away with consuming just lower amounts) using aloe vera soap, having skin care routine, medications helps alievate symptoms, and drying with cotton and wearing more cotton.
Recently I start buying organic cotton instead of regular cotton it feels very comfortable and also avoiding diary mainly cow milk causes my skin severe inflammation

Doesn't kefir and yogurt have yeasts in them? Shouldn't that be eliminated too against dandruff? I'm looking to try this, but giving up cheese seems horrifying to me.
That’s true. I only consume raw yoghurt and my skin is good. However when I consume raw kefir the yeast completely nukes my skin

Do I have to avoid oil
Do I need to avoid all PULSES as well
And do I need to avoid whisky and rum as well
Avoid almost all the cooking oils, coconut oil is good, unheated virgin olive oil is good (heating it creates carcinogens), no idea what pulses are, and yeah if you take a look at any alcoholic they lose all their hair alcohol is not good for your body in any capacity it is always treated as a poison.
See your doctor,/dermatologist
You need to avoid oil , whiskey and rum for sure
avoid seed oils and sugar
I eat no carbs 30% fat 70% protein an 200% coffee
I've been struggling with seborrheic Dermatitis for like 5 years now, and As a body builder , I don't know how I am supposed to survive with this diet up here . I cut all sort of Grains, breads, I kept it on low carbs and low sugar, and of course I only used avocado oil and I consumed a lot of veggies with sea foods as well for 7 days to see if there will be any difference. I didn't see nothing progressive or maybe the timing was too short. Anyway, most of the time I was always hungry and I lost 1 pound as a result.

Dandruff nd seborrheic dermatitis causes hair fall?
Yes!!!
You are right, mostly.
Skin issue = gut problem (acne, eczema, dry skin....)
- in this case, starch heavy diet is a problem (another symptom could be yellow tongue)
- as you said yeast overgrowth
"Sport drink" is like 30% of sugar? (what do you need to ferment yeast? sugar?)
In your 10-30s you are immortal (even small change will bring fast results), if you are a bit older, be a bit more patient.
Diet is a tricky topic (your diet vs diet in ancient China), nowadays we have too much junk/pleasure food. Have you ever eaten whole bag of chips by an accident? what about broccoli?. What is shelf life of chips vs broccoli? (not to mention price tag)
Milk/ eggs/ wheat are most common allergens (then we have also "risky" food such as coffee).
Everyone needs to experiment (raw/sprouted food could be tolerated, yet cooked wont be) with their diet.
Good video and overall message.
Wow! I noticed this year that I also have yellow tongue. You think the problem I could be having is that I have a starch heavy diet? Could you tell me more about how I can help this?
@@ecorry6716 You could add tongue scraper (or use soft toothbrush) to your daily routine.
Coffee/tea are able to change your tongue color (imagine blueberries). Or medication/tobacco.
Lastly it could be trouble wit yeast (carb heavy diet, even whole carbs could be problematic for some people).
@@Yss0l Yes I believe it is a yeast problem because I also have seborrheic dermatitis and have had fungal infections on my nails before.
Would caprylic acid pills/apple cider vinegar help this? Or is reducing starch in my diet the only real option to combat the yeast overgrowth. I do acknowledge that I have a starch heavy diet.
@@ecorry6716 It depends how long you have SD. Apple cider vinegar did help some people (from what Ive read), but how long? Was it placebo? I have no idea... (never read research about caprylic acid).
I did test eating tons probiotic fermented foods (no pills, all was home made). And best results I have on keto diet with fermented foods (love coffee/tea but was forced to give it up).
My vegan journey (full of starch foods, healthy oatmeal, rice and beans...) was terrible for my skin.
I was not able to find "magic" cure (I did try and wasted so much money:)), only healthier diet for me.
Now Iam also testing omega3 and omega6 ratio.
@@Yss0l I've had SD for about a year and a half now, just treating it with Ketoconazol, then Capasal, and now back to Ketoconazol shampoo.
Tried going dairy free and then gluten free for 2 weeks each but it mostly just ended up being a reduction instead of eliminating those foods so I would be open to trying gluten/starch again but I want to try caprylic acid/ACV first because I really don't want to tear up my diet unless I really need to.
I've also heard about probiotics helping people but I'm not really sure what they are or how to get them into my diet.
Intermittent fasting is a bit overblown.
Just not eating within a couple hours of bed is a good idea for hormonal and circadian balance, though.
You are right about fat and protein.
I can tell you more about why it works, and why you need at least 20 grams of protein with each meal.
Protein causes the liver to produce albumin, which is a carrier of more than the generic nutrients, it also carries the slave ossilators of circadian rhythm and epigenetic quality control; simple exogenous signalling molecules which you need a constant supply of.
So the shampoo method didn't work?
It does but not in long term
What's the shampoo method???
So basically you went on the LCHF diet
Eggs heightens my flare ups
Is fruit a carbohydrate?
yes.
What are your thoughts on coffee?
I have a suspicion that it could be related. I'm trying to figure out what caused my current flare that started yesterday. An ACV/water solution can help a lot.

Are you allowed to eat eggs in addition to butter on a vegan diet? I would also say that intermittent fasting helps tremendously to bypass the plateaus your body has reached, i.e., not being able to lose more weight after losing a considerable amount of weight.
