About the coment that "you never lose games". Maybe you can show us games when you lose and explain what the team or you did wrong. Afterall you learn more from your losses imo.
I know it is not the popular route, but I'm a huge fan of what I call the "repeated BKS Build" where I take Fetid touch, One good spread, and targeted excision. With the quest done this places my pustule and my BKS on the same 5 second cool-down with the reduced cool-down on the heal making it to where I can heavily sustain my team while also regularly applying a strong slow on enemies. It feels nice to use with virulent reaction too as it lets you use your pustule often and still have it when you need it for roots. Having BKS on a smaller cool-down lets you potentially root more often or at less opportunity cost as well.
Pox Populi has a strange combination with bio armor. Bio armor gives 15 armor, popping it gives 35. 35 + 15 = 50 but then the extra 3 second from the second pathogen that pox gives you gives you another 15 armor, giving whomever you heal 65 armor flat which is insane.
"I think I just saved him" :D Yeah that would've been my thought as well if I was in that game, but hearing you talk when you pushed that Muradin in that situation makes clear why you did it. It's quite a difference if you just see somebodys actions or hear his thoughts about it as well.
I noticed you had some abilities on quick cast: on release. Would you mind to do a quick video about which abilities do you use that setting and why do you like it?
im not sure if you can tell whether he is using on release or clicking, but usually people swap those setting so that you can see the targeting and know how far and wide skillshots are or w/e. If it is an ability that doesnt need to be cast a million times, it's a nice alternative that keeps you accurate
"on release" gives you precision, and an idea about the range and radius the skills have, etc. "quick cast" just gives you some ms of difference (which at top level, or for skills you are constantly spamming, it might make a difference, but usually it's not that bad to just press and release quickly).
Just go in try mode and play around w/ the settings and see what you like. Don't just go with what other people tell you; you'll ultimately do better with the hero when the controls are more comfortable to you.
Wow, its great that someone finally reveals this crazy build! I have been using this build when I was main support role. Stukov has a lot of strengths, but this build is giving him a lot of safety in the late game! But always think about your build, the build is not the dogma as things are getting changed from time to time and you have to react to enemy composition.
I love that cheeky little Muradin dive at the very end looking for a free kill before he loses, and how Kel'Thuzad would have completely fucked him up if it wasn't for the match end

I think it would be great if spine launcher added a weighted pulsate on the target. that would require decreased slow on the w though because it would be so powerful otherwise. but it would work perfect with the lvl 7 talent targeted excision.
This build not new. It was used a long time ago. Though sometimes you have to heal team, not slow opponents down, it is good for controlling and helping your mates get takedowns.
it's good in the long term definitely; short term you'll probably see a lot of people who don't know how to auto attack or focus so much on auto attacking they never heal/cc anyone Good video either way as it encourages people to try out new things
This beautifully showcases why one of the biggest mistakes many players make is a mistake: any hero's autoattack is worth to be used. Learn the aa animation, learn the stutterstep, get a feel for when you can attack safely. It adds so much value!
I like spine launcher for regular pvp (or i should say when i still played regular. PvP) and W based lvl1 builds in brawl for almost infinite mana - which is the only mode i play now. Wish they made brawl games count toward dailies and event quests.
Spine Launcher has been my favorite first talent since his early days (mainly because it was the easiest for me to play). Glad to see a thorough video on it.
Hey NotParadox, could you do a short video sometime on recommended graphics/sound/etc settings? Curious what you use for settings for competitive play. Thanks!
Really great video! I honestly thought Stukov was dead after the nerf, havent' seen him played much except here and there and honestly had written him off as one of the "bad healers". But looks like he's still viable. Granted, the map you were on with 2 lanes which means you'll always have 4 players bot typically allowed your healing to be that much more substantial since grouped teams benefit the most from him as a healer.
Thank you for this! I love Stukov but never play him unless I'm in a brawl were I kill no matter what build I do, but I do need another healer to fall back on when I don't want to alex or brightwing. I'd like to get better with whitemane as well but that's a case of knowing when to pick her if she's not ban or took on top of the nerf I'm not sure which build to go with her since the results are not consistent enough to go "I should work on this more" So I've stayed away from whitemane more than i'd like.
she's ez mode aslong as you take talent that resets your mana at 4 you can qqqwe and have 70% mana left every time if you combine that with lvl 1 talent to heal allies you can also qqq1 and reset mana when there isn't an enemy around to hit. good for camps and healing in between fights etc I usually sit at around 80 to 90k healing in your average match with this.
Hey NP, I know it may seem a bit rude to ask, but have you considered using Colourblind mode for your recordings to be a bit easier on the eyes of R/G colourblind fans?
I prefer W on my lvl 1. As you say damage drops off and spine launcher becomes much less useful. Unless you snowball the early game eventually it's just used for the slow. I like the W quest because late game you can throw them out constantly so you're getting that same slow plus you get more chances to combo W with you E for a root. IMO those big roots late game are going to win more games for the team then some extra pressure early game.
Brand new stukov player here. How often should I be using bio-switch purely to heal? I've been kind of using it off cooldown ever since I started paying stukov and people get really mad at me :,)
How about a solo lane Stukov who facetanks the enemy team 1 v 4? Cuz that's what I had in QM yesterday. Refused to team up, or even try to stay alive. Fun times.
Seeing you transforming Stukov into an AA dps makes me wonder what if D.va can be played as an AA dps with her already high damage(all this in pilot mode). And if it can be competitive.
I have a question for you Paradox, what do you think about these long queue times in the game since 2 weeks ago?, you think is just a bug with the MM or the game is dying, but dying pretty fast?
I noticed that too, and my weird theory is that a decent chunk of people are playing Destiny 2 since it was advertised free in the battle.net client. I know all the people I play hots with and myself have been doing that.
