Very good guide. Thanks a lot. This really helps understanding the role. Splitting it up into early, mod and late game is huge. I will watch this over and over again, because I can't keep it all in mind at once. :D
ME262MKI I play on a laptop with a mouse and lag seems to be the biggest struggle, but I wouldn't be surprised that some people use the god-awful trackpad XD
Andrew Buelna I play on a laptop as well and I'm totally comfortable with it. But mouse is a must. :D I once watched 5 minutes of a replay with only my trackpad... Don't ever try this at home kids. I've never had a problem with lags with my mouse and laptop, but i'm one of those special people using a mouse without cable. so i've had two games where the battery went out^^
But in low rank people fighting the entire game I don’t know should I join them or go soak if I tried to soak we will lose some people which mean xp for the enemy team and losing objective later because one or Two players in your team are died finally they will spam pings On you flame you and may even report you for not joining them in fights
Yeah it's hard, but there is a way to make this less of an issue, be polite, I mean when the game starts say "hello, gl hf", engage with your teammates, after the obligatory lvl 1 fight ask someone to cover a lane, talk with them. The best way to combat flamers is with civility. This won't make all flamers disappear from your matches but it will make the flamers that flame because they get frustrated disappear and also the ones that don't know what to do, just talk to them politely and if they are being douches just keep being polite and try to rally the team using victory as a reason. GL
New players don't understand the concept of solo laning. And solo laner is the hardest role in my opinion. I sometimes say things in chat like "I can't do much before level X" or "stay safe, because I can't be around in many team fights before level x". This sets a different expectation. Also I would say in low ranks you can soak a lane that is close enough to your team, to quickly join in for a fight if necessary. But when to join a tf is one of the hardest things to calculate as a solo laner.
Yep, there are matches when people say stuff like "there is no laning in this game" and then you can't really explain everything to them. Try to soak as much as possible and get every advantage you can while not playing too greedy. Like Larry said, either be nice or just mute them and play your game
@@djS0nics Totally right, I love soloing with Azmodan, but in lower ranks this may be hard (specially in early game) because your team won't understand what you are doing, same thing with Abathur, Zagara, etc. there are some pretty special heroes.
Larry Lewinsohn right now as you mention Azmodan: he is probably good for soloing in low ranks. His Q has an enormous range and with Greed you can "join" a team fight that is happening in the other end of the map. Plus if you cast your D, whenever it is off cooldown it gets a good chunk of XP - especially if you cast it in a completely unoccupied lane. Once you get used to it, you will be able to cast D on the other end of the map right in the middle of a 5v5 team fight. Sidenote: I would recommend playing Azmodan in the 4-man (not solo laning). Stacking his Q is a lot easier when more enemies are around. Sidenote: I don't usually recommend picking Greed at level 1. I usually go for Wrath, if I'm sure I can land enough auto attacks, or Gluttony if I can't.

She's fine. I'd say she's balanced better now, and still a top solo laner.
@@chrisneto she is a dead hero after the nerfs, don't play her
@@HimariHimatsu her nerfs to maraads insight only exacerbated her solo lane weakness; a strong ranged laner. Her early game solo is still effective and her late game teamfight is unchanged. If she's dead to you, you aren't playing her optimally.
First! Love your vids
not even early
So helpful advice, but im sad this game is dying..
sooo, no more why pros play _____? ):
Twelve hundre... What? You've lost me here 🤣
Can't solo lane with a normal solo laner, must advice an hero such yrel shit
are you a pro player NotParadox?
Atleast don't show pre-nerfed Yrel footage for a up to date guide.
It's about sololaning not Yrel.
@@eleSDSU Still, it's a little misleading showing how powerful she is in that state, compared to now.
@@eleSDSU And the XP system has also changed gameplaywise, so it's out of date to show the gameplay.
@@emiljjj If the video was about Yrel I would totally agree but it's not. The video is about the mentality of the sololaner and where to be at certain times, how should you approach the laning phases and transition from early to mid and mid to late game. Yrel is circumstantial and unrelated really, most of the time I solo Malthael and the video applies to him just as much as it does to Yrel or any other sololane heroe.
#1 tip: Play against a shit hanzo that has no place in GM.
We need to stop cyber bullying.
Malthael: No one can stop death
chen is the BEST sololaner, change my mind
struggles against sonya and a few others, chen wins against every ranged offlaner however
I'm afraid you may not have a mind.
@@eleSDSU do you now any1 who can bully zagara mate?
@@arekk6470 fenix, chen, illidan, yrel
@@HimariHimatsu i dont fenix can handle that evil
Why are you talking through ur nose?
"Solo laning"?, i like to call it "dueling", "solo laning" sounds more like a bot player will do, like those Zagara and Valla "mains"
offlaning is used by most people who takes the game somewhat seriously and is a better world overall
Hots RIP :-(
F
??? because HGC is off ?? :)) out of all the players that play this game how many do you think participated in the competition ?? 1%?? 2%??
It's a dead game only for those. For the rest .. not so much.
dead game
