    Great information as always. So nice to find a custom pc channel that is about creative work instead of RGB and gaming 😁

      On the other hand. I have heard that including RGB to your rig, adds at least 10% performance.

    1:24 your video says "3" execution units on the 12500 and 24 on the 12400. Great video!

    Thank you! Such a helpful video. There are too many videos just doing gaming-related testing/benchmarks so it's such a great resource to having these creator-focused videos. If someone is doing creative work AND gaming, they could pair this video with Gamers Nexus's video on the 12400 vs. 12500 to get full picture for both gaming and creative work.

    UA-cam's algorithm really loves the word "creator" haha. I would love an pro audio PC build guide that takes audio interface latency into account (thunderbolt and usb). The whole WIN11 vs WIn10 and 12th gen vs Ryzen discourse makes picking components for this use case hard.

      I think TB generally is better on Intel so Probably would go that way :)

      there are thousands of self called creators out there, only a hand full are really good, and know what the word 'creator' means.

    You would expect the 12500 to perform better in Photoshop due to slightly higher base and turbo frequencies!

    my country:
    12400 = 239 euro
    12500 = 255 euro
    12600 = 269 euro
    12600KF = 325 euro
    12600K = 335 euro
    with these prices you either have 2 options:
    1. Buy the 12400 and sell it next year to upgrade to 13400(Assuming 13400 will outperform the 12600k, this actually happened with 12400 vs 11600K)
    2. Buy the 12600 which seems the best bang for the buck option for not spending too much
    BONUS:
    3. Completely cheap-out on the CPU and just buy the i3 12100f which allows you an additional $100 budget for a better GPU LOL!

    did you check the core stepping? the better i5 12400 results might be related to being H0 vs C0
    In notebook it also happens that slower cpus perform better in the long run as the efficiency comes into play - 200mhz could mean just 2% better at full speed, but 10% more heat, thus depleting any heat buffer much faster than the performance gain you get. It was evident with 8th gen 6 core "i9" that were +slower than lower clocked same core count i7 in the same chassis unable to dissipate the 30w difference

    2 months ago got 12400
    the cooler model SE-214-XT keeps it cool maxes at 60 when rendering
    I upgraded from a classic 3930k which i got 5 years ago I bought from Amazon and had seen it was a good price I didnt do research
    i thought it was cheap cause it was used months later in the same year I did research and found out it was from 2011
    I dont follow cpus often so I didnt know it was a 12th or 11th 10th gen until last week
    I do watch vids but usually gpus game benchmarks and don't pay attention to anything but the gpus
    both 12400 and 11600 vs my chip is a 70 percent jump
    12600 vs my chip is a 100 percent jump
    these chips compared to each other arent as much a difference which is why with the 12400 instead
    I got the 660m msi board

    12500 and 12600 both have a higher PL2 power draw than 12400. Power consumption is very slightly different . Not visible but they have shorter higher boosts draws. (we are talking 10 to 25 watts) They may require a higher PSU although I don't favor more wattage race at all

      It's a lot more expensive to compare laptop processors because you have to buy the whole machine instead of just the processor. And then trying to match the platform would be a nightmare.

      @@theTechNotice Why the small difference between the two iGPUs? It's negligible... If it was 10-20 dollars difference... sure, why not. Anything more and it would feel stupid. IS IT possible than Intel's discreet GPUs that are coming will be able to complement the 770 better than the 750 for video processing and other "creator" work. AND much better than NO iGPU (F).
