  • Albuquerque, NM - ‪@Copwatchtv‬ obtained body worn camera from the Albuquerque Police Department of an incident with a Delta flight that was traveling from Los Angelas to Nashville. In an early June 2021 incident the flight was forced to divert to Albuquerque after a passenger became unruly ultimately punching a flight attendant on board
The plane landed safely in Albuquerque, N.M. and passengers deplaned as authorities took Asiel Norton into custody. He was interviewed by the police and then the FBI.
Norton's federal court case is pending charged with disrupting a flight.

WHY, Since He was restrained and put in jail, He was NOTHING but polite, cordial, and respectful!
He ONLY SPOKE when asked to, and when He didn’t understand He asked QUESTIONS ABOUT WHAT HE DID NOT KNOW THE ANSWERS TO?!
I don’t know but, when, He explained to the Officer that He was “HEARING VIOCES, and that is Why he did what he did”
That sounds Perfectly LOGICAL too ME!
But Then for People such as yourself, who are SOO PERFECT?!
That see nothing but the worst, in others, You only find fault, and NEGATIVITY with the Rest of the World, but You don’t ever Do any WRONG🤔🤢😨😳🧐
I have a real problem with that.
I believe that, there is no way that You are the only person in this whole World that is without fault🤷‍♂️
      It isn’t possible!
You my dear, need to look within!
      We ALL HAVE FAULTS!
There are none of us that are Perfect!
      Nobody!
It’s unfortunate, that this guy happened to have a breakdown on a flight! I’m 100% certain it was NOT his intention to make anyone scared or upset! He wouldn’t of done what He did If he were in His Right mind!
I pray, that You NEVER have to be put in the same situation that gentleman went through!
Hopefully people don’t JUDGE YOU SO INCORRECTLY!!!
He seemed like a really nice person, Smart, well spoken, educated, it’s just Life doesn’t work out perfectly for everyone.
Sometimes the mind just cannot handle all the pressure? So a variety of episode take place, seizures, strokes, aneurisms, mental breakdowns, or the very mildest, and LUCKY FOR THIS GENTLEMAN, He still has a chance but probably WILL NOT TAKE HEED, to the gracious GIFT, of the WARNING HE WAS GIVEN?!!! 😱🤢🤔🤷‍♂️

Why didn’t anyone tell the loud mouth to zip it?! When people stand by silently as someone is verbally abusive to a mentally disturbed individual, that’s a problem. I’m not suggesting to be aggressively confrontational on a flight or anywhere for that matter, but one of the gentlemen (bc it was a dude who was being ruthless - I don’t mean the suspect) should’ve politely and quietly asked the loud mouth to stop behaving that way, at the very least, for the children’s sake. I’m a woman and I would’ve definitely said something if one of the gentlemen didn’t. Have compassion for human beings. We never know what their mental health is, and we are wrong for assuming they’re of sound and mind, and rational.

My son also has severe autism. You are a brave brave woman attempting to see if he could fly! I can’t even take a different route home with my son while driving with him. I once missed my turn and had to pass our neighborhood to turn around! Man was he upset. It hurts me when he gets scared or distressed. I have learned to think like an autistic person, or at least anticipate his reactions. I used to work at Member Service at a big box club, and we had this huge red off-button under this hinged clear plastic cover. It was the emergency shutdown in case of fire or natural disaster. We had a huge line of ppl waiting for assistance and the area was super crowded and chaotic. I spotted this severe autistic adult child with his very distracted mother. He had his eyes hawk-like focused on something behind me, and before she knew it, he was almost at that switch button and flipping up the lid! I reached my hand quietly and covered the switch, and softly said “No, Baby” He only flapped his arms in that self-soothing was, and walked back to his mother. She was like, how did you know that he was going to try that? Lol. Because my son would have done the same thing. Anyway, I understand what you are saying. Sometimes these types of videos make me despair for humanity. It felt like those ppl on that plane were turning into a mob. Scary.

This poor man was having issues and the police were very understanding and they showed such patience and consideration to this man. The guy sitting in front of him is an ass hat.

Maybe they were just happy to be on solid ground and this guy arrested. Imagine how freaky it’d be to see a passenger banging on the door of the cockpit and refusing to stop and punching out the steward. I think he’s making up his story. Otherwise why did he have to think about what to say and magically be just fine once arrested.

I have to wonder if many of the passengers were part of a group perhaps. When our son took a trip to Mexico within days of graduation, there were quite a few young people on the plane together, all part of this group taking the holiday.

@@Trouble-Clef Mental illness isn't all or nothing. It comes and goes. It wasn't "magical" that he was fine again when in custody, he just wasn't experiencing the crazy thoughts that were going through his head while on the plane.

@j bryant bunch of crybabies, he had a mental breakdown. Better than him actually opening the pressurized cabin at 30,000 feet. I'd rather be delayed than get sucked out the airplane.

You think all mental illnesses are the same genius? So just because YOU never had an episode like this guy, that means it can happen? Learn some logic.
