22:55 - Tim was jumping into pigeons and generally acting a little weird because he was originally written to be a little kid. But, the director didn’t want to kill a small child on screen, so they made Tim a teenager.
That Log Truck scene has traumatized so many people, me included, and has permeated through culture that even people who have never seen FD2 avoid log trucks
Entire generation avoids log trucks thanks to this film. Even today: when our long time friends drive and they see log tuck or truck with heavy pipes: they are: Shit no, final destination, we're waiting...
The log truck scene is ✨iconic✨ It's traumatized us and lived in our minds for 21 years. I'll never not think abt it on a highway with a log truck, or a semi in general.
Did you notice the foreshadowing on the floor in front of Lotto Boy’s front door? “New Life for drowning victim?” The ambulance toy and the baby doll on the floor…”🤯
36:50 CRAZY: That actor, Mark Lukyn has a long criminal history including charges of sexual assault, assault causing bodily harm, two counts of forcible confinement, uttering threats and assault with a weapon. They had a man hunt in all of British Columbia for him when he took off his ankle bracelet while out on bail. Random fact I just discovered.
Clear's death traumatized me. 😢💔 I love her and was fully expecting her to be in the series longer. I was a bit naive. Glad she came back in this one though.
This movie definitely traumatized me as a teenager. I still get PTSD from driving next to those logs. 😂 It's one of my favorite movies out of the franchise
Out of all the premonitions we've seen throughout the franchise, the pile-up sequence in FD2 is absolutely top tier to me! Every time i watch it, it just NEVER fails to give me the chills! Also, wishing you both a very Happy Thanksgiving!! ☺🦃🧡🧡🍁🥧
I had a crush on Michael Landes "Officer Burke" for years because of this film. He was brilliant in a little-known, single season TV show called "Special Unit 2" where his sarcasm comes out full force. It's a fun science fiction show if you can find it anywhere streaming.
He was also the first 'Jimmy' in Lois and Clark the adventures of Superman, with Terrie Hatcher and Dean Cain in the 1990's. It was very successful. He was fired because he looked to similar to Dean Cain. I thought he fitted the role better than the new actor. ua-cam.com/video/BPjYU7BNt8c/v-deo.html
@@veronicaaccouche1478 That's funny, because I started watching Lois & Clark because Justin Whalin took over the role (another long-time teenage crush because of a movie called Perfect Harmony). I didn't "discover" Michael until years later.
11:38 it’s giving financial father then he said sugar father 😂😂😂😂that’s a smart way of saying I love it 😂😂😂😂😂😂you guys made my day by the way love the channel especially the saw reactions 🙌🏽👍🏽
TIm ran into the pigeons because he was still in the loopy after effects of the gas. He wasn't 'being stupid' and it wasn't bad writing. If you've ever been under the after effect of the stuff Tim had, you'd know how loopy it leaves you
Log truck designs were actually changed after this movie. Steel beams now run vertically down each side as well as the chains to help hold the logs in place.
Fun fact here: The teen jumping around in the pile of pigeons was supposed to be a younger character. However, they couldn't very well squish a child under a plate of glass, so he was aged up to a teenager. That's why his running into the flock of pigeons seemed to be so out of place.
THANK YOU WES! I have said since the moment I saw this movie in theaters with my mom at 12, he was TOO OLD to be running into a “pile of pigeons” like a 7 year old. Not to victim blame, but I was like, “Seriously? Grow up!” 12 yr old me and today me are still in agreement. 😂
He might have been autistic or have a learning disability? I read that they had to switch the actors because in the test showing the audience didn't like killing a small child in that manner. He was written as a child 10 years or younger.
I had to get braces and I had already seen this movie, so the whole time the orthodontist was working in my mouth, I kept darting my eyes all over the room where I could see. Nervous the whole freaking time, y’all
Funny enough the one time I ignored my gut feels and let my dad go instead of keeping him home a lil longer/talking to him and such he got in a pretty bad car wreck. Thankfully he lives but he still has back and joint issues a couple years later.
This movie makes me avoid large trucks in general, but especially log trucks. The only reason I re-watch is for the opening sequence. I'm a huge fan of AJ Cook (who plays Kimberly, best known as JJ on Criminal Minds) and I love seeing a young version of her. But the best part is that Michael Landes (HOT Cop) survives and we get to look at him for most of the movie! I'm so glad to hear someone else say it!
I'm a mortuary worker and I can say that you would definitely be fired for ripping a nipple ring out of a body. Possibly prosecuted for abuse of a corpse. You're also not supposed to have random people just walking into your crematory. There are a lot of pretty strict laws about how bodies are supposed to be treated after death that you might not expect I've only had one body with a nipple ring while I've worked here. But yeah, I just unhooked it and put it in a little baggie and gave it back to the family.
Hey, do you guys know if A.J. Cook had a best and very close friend from this movie? I'm in between Sarah Carter and Jonathan Cherry but I really do think it was Sarah Carter.
The other movies in this franchise I really don't remember as well as the first two but there are a few things that are really memorable in three it starts with a roller coaster for starts with a NASCAR race five I always forget how it begins but I remember the ending but I recently watched somebody react to it and I was like oh right the bridge
I need someone to explain to me, why the kid at the end died. I dont think he was in that crazy car crash accident in the beginning?. His not part of death plan list. i never understood this end. What does this kid has to do with dead?.
Glad to see you both love this film, it's my favorite of the FD films (saw it when it first came out in theaters back in 2003), though the third does have one Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and I've been loving you two's reactions... Apologies for the fourth film being a 3D rolling dumpster fire ahead of time. (Sorry, that film still legit pisses me off.)
The car crash at the beginning has to be one the best action sequences in cinema history

Saw a video of someone cut off a truck carrying rebar. The rebar flew off the truck and went straight through the driver's side window.
The log truck scene is ✨iconic✨

Fun Fact! Eugene's actor, T.C Carson was the voice talent of Kratos in the god of war games between 2005-2013! :D
That's awesome!
And voicing mace windu in the clonewars TV series 2008-2020

As a gay man, i can surely say that, watching gay men watching horror movies is the best thing on UA-cam. ❤
The female driver is AJ Cook (Jennifer Jarreau on Criminal Minds)... She is one of my all time favorites.

I wasn’t ready to hear “Ms Carpenter” so soon, the pain is still real.
I think the only bad Final Destination is the fourth one. The rest are a blast.

the boy in the dentist office was the visual representation of me being GAGGED by this film.
VERY that 😩
By the way the main girl if you're wondering why she looks familiar she's JJ from criminal minds
Holy shit, I'm dying. I've seen so many episodes of that show, how did I not recognize her? (mild face blindness, tbf)
“Hooked and busy” I can’t 😂😂😂

i don't know a single person who didn't remember the log scene. that shit did to highways what Jaws did to beaches in the 70s.

It’s horrible to say but adding a kid to final destination would be so interesting. Would definitely change some things.
I‘m already watching this the 15th time or so I just can‘t get enough. Can‘t wait for FD3 🤘🏼🖤
This movie still gives me anxiety driving on a highway, especially if there's a truck with logs on it.

Rory saved him earlier in the movie, which changed death’s design for him. So the kid turned out to be a loose end to a loose end.
