im so in tears. I was abused when i was young. 'My body fell asleepwhen they took it away from me' brings me back to how my innocence was stolen. And i had to learn , to adapt. to know how to live again, after so much damage. i was so hurt. Now i do what i like with it. i want to live. 25 years old and just now im starting to cry, to dance, to feel. to trust myself.

@@samgrieg2542 my first thought was sexual assault, but now I'm thinking (by how she is acting) it's a declaration of freedom. She was told how to be, and now she does what she likes. Yeah, it's definitely a freedom from anything having power over her
@@taylorberry00 When I saw the video and how she's not being feminine and sexi at all, sexual assult came to my mind. Then I read the lyrics, and it only confirmed it.
After a sexual assult, you can feel like you can do whatever you want with your body, because that body is not that special anymore, you don't have to look after it so much anymore..
You know how you look after something until it gets broken, even slightly, a tiny scratch, after which you start treating it like it's written off.. And almost angry at it for not being perfect anymore..
I might be totally wrong, but that's what I felt.. And related to..
@@samgrieg2542 I think she's referencing her song "Society", where she says society took away her liberty with all of it's rules on how to be. I think she's saying now she's got her liberty and courage back and does whatever she wants with it.

Thanks! Looks like I missed that! I was thinking of a Canadian indie rock band named "strongboy" I recommend them if you like reverb/ chorus drenched guitar riffs, dreamy vocals and nice percussion.
