no way it pulls off the line faster than the 2017+ cbr 1000rr. never been on the mt09 so I cant say for sure. I bought a cbr because of your channel a year ago and i cant see myself wanting a different bike, it rips. could be more comfortable for long rides but around town its all i could ever want. thanks for the cbr recommendation, amazing bike.
I have the same bike just imagine if you got a flash but I don’t think it needs it just buy it and ride it
The MT-09 is geared pretty low compared to the supersports. I have the xsr900, and it pulls real hard, but at 150kms/hr or so, u feel it giving out a bit. Would not compete with any 1000cc supersport at high speeds
It's just a different power curve, I own the same bike and the power it delivers at lower RPMs just feels insane, but yes any liter bike will be faster than the 09

2020 Kawasaki Z900 is $9k msrp. Everything you say about the MT09, the Z900 does it too, but we all still haven't heard why you didn't even consider the Kawi.

If I was to ever get a motorcycle this seems like the type of bike I’d go for
I have the same frame 6'1 190lbs. The mt07 is too small. The mt09 is a good fit but the mt10 has even more room/ comfort. Went with the mt09 for the price. No regrets- order the yamaha quickshifter 👍
In April I picked up a '17 FZ-09, for $4250, with 5k miles on it. So glad I did now!! It's my first bike in like 20 years, and I just wanted to replace my old Honda Hawk that I had as a kid. Something sporty but comfortable. I did all LED lights, tail eliminator. I have to do exhaust and programming next if it's that good! I'm just learning to do little 1st and 2nd gear wheelies on it.

Anyway. I've owned the MT-09 for a few years now. It's very flexible. Poke along at low rpm and the engine doesn't complain. It'll get almost 50 mpg poking along. Or rip it all day, walking away from 600cc supersports to 120 mph. Fat torque through the middle.
But it's held back a lot without modification.
Also a big fan of the Z900.
Sorry i have a tuono and have ridden the mt and by no means does it punch harder off the line than tuono but glad u love the mt .. its a nice bike for a 3 cylinder
Dude, thats too much of a budget bike! what happened to M50 brembo feel?!
You can upgrade brakes, steel brake lines, suspentions, .... it costs couple of thousands but in the end its still MT09!
If you like this bike that much, try Street Triple 765. Its head and shoulder above yours in everything.
4. Duel sport it. It’s eye opening. I had to take my 2017 FZ09 to a friend’s cottage. To get there is miles of dirt road. Put a set of Pirrelli MT60’s oh her. Wow. Lean in the corners on the black top. And no fear on the gravel roads.

@@khazix9214 No it doesnt cost 9k and yes it's reliable, i don't care what kind of bike he had or he what bike he wants. He seems to rave about this bikes hit and seems to enjoy it, therefore I think he'd have alot of fun trying out a super duke since it makes this bike feel like a grom :)

@@warrenseiboth3466 You are 100% correct, I was talking more about the bike's capabilities, not so much the rider's. Here the MT is about 60% of the price, but without a doubt, it's also 60% of the bike the SDR is. But like you said, almost no one uses that "extra" 40%

I just bought a used ‘19 MT09 with 750 miles on the odometer. Your right man, she kicks hard and I’m feeling impressed with the performance in stock form. This bike is going to get a Akropovic titanium exhaust system and Powervision 3 flash....fa sho man, I can’t wait to feel even smoother throttle and a lil mo power!
Forget after market exhausts, suspension upgrade is the most important mod. If the suspension is tailored to the individual, it rides so much better. Braking, cornering and comfort will be improved.
I enjoy your videos. My question is are you good at slow speed throttle and clutch control? If so could you do a video on you doing different motorcycle training

Well, i got rid of my ZX14R and got the Z H2. Who boy! I know why you are so giddy about your MT09. The low and mid is insane. Up to 130 i will take the zx14 but after that, the 14 is gone. That may change when i get exhaust and tune. Totally different riding experience, i love it
My 2015 FZ 09 got stolen after getting away with 5+ years of street parking. Loved the bike so much. Funny thing though now that I've had to replace it (and I can't even afford a used one with what insurance gave me.. ) it's just so hard to even come close to the 09 with anything else. I ended up with a first gen fz1 I'm excited to have but wow I miss my 09.

Nice bike Cruze but I am still buying MT10 SP, but still MT9 is still hell of a bike drive safe man.
Got to ride one last summer and it was a fun bike, for sure. When done right, the exhaust is perfection on those.

MT-10 fits me better because I’m tall. Also it sounds like a beast! (R1sound) I also personally think the MT-10 looks better. That’s just me.
MT-10 is great too. However, I'm 6'1" and the mt-09 is just fine. Actually, the MT-09 has a taller seat height than the MT-10, MT-09's seat height is 33.86" and the MT10's seat height is 32.5".
CycleCruza I just sat on them yesterday and for some reason the MT-09 just felt smaller and shorter. 🤷♂️
CycleCruza I believe the MT-09 from birth has a seat height of 820 mm, equivalent to 32,3”. At least my SP has, also remapped + Akra exhaust, of course ;-)

I bought my GSXS 1000 new 8500 out the door I also have a arrow exhaust and a power commander and it is truly a real beast on the streets and the highway
After selling 4 manufactures of bikes and riding pretty much everything I traded a Harley 72 for a FZ09. Best decision ever

I have to say this i love Harley Davidson my preferred bike ,have a 114 Heritage 2020, awesome torque, but i had to buy a 2020 Mt09 because i heard a lot of people talk about them. And man every time i take it for a ride , i have a grin from ear to ear.. 1st couple of rides i had to take it of A mode, it literally scared the beejesus out of me ,lol . Talk about torque, freaking front wheel lifted up in 3rd gear, still getting used to standard mode, ha ha, what a wicked machine, i love it just as much as my Harley. Never thought i would say it. Awesome absolutely great motorcycle. ❤👍. Do youself a favour and try one of these beasts, had the acropavitch carbon exhaust put on and it sounds wicked as, i am 55 yrs old and my mrs reckons iam insane ha ha. I reckon the bikes more insane. Ride safe everyone.👍😀🇦🇺

I prefer STD mode for the street and A mode for the track. B mode is too sloppy even for the wet so I never use it. A mode is just PERFECT for the track! Before I bought my 2019 MT-09 I used to go to a lot of test rides at the dealerships, now I'm not really interested in riding anything else...
What’s you opinion on the M4 exhaust? My dealer has two new 2020 MT09 with the M4 exhaust already installed?

What is bad about HD is once you start to move you must shift as power drops off sharply at 4000 rpm.

1. You have obviously not ridden a H-D FXFB Fatbob 114. The off the line was at least on par with my Concours 14. The problem is it costs 2 times what the MT09 Costs new.
2. I test rode an FJ09. It is already snappy without the mods. Now I am curious!!!

You want some massive torque get you a Busa or bandit 1250 or zx14 change the gearing. Put a full exhaust on. Fix the fueling.... And off you go like a rocket. Heavy but stable and still corners great. Those big bore bikes are in a whole other league CC when it comes to torque...no joke. Don't believe me... try one for yourself.

Lots of cheap parts make is a good value but it shows up close if that matters...my Z1000 is way more substantial looking and the components are of a higher look and feel than the Yamaha but ya you pay more for that look. Kinda the same as a Bonneville vs Enfield....price shows in the build quality but value is too good to resist for most. I paid 9 grand for my Z1000 2 years used 12k...
