To me, the S24+ has the most practical upgrade in the series - with a higher resolution display with higher brightness, more RAM, and a larger battery capacity. This makes it the best buy in S24 lineup 💯

Absolutely true if u like big phones but for people like me this phone is just to big with a display of 6.6'' so I am getting the regular s24 because of its compact and practical size
It bothers me how people see a higher resolution display as mention worthy upgrade. Samsung has been providing it since s6 or s7 both of which came out around a decade ago. It was something they dropped in recent years only to bring it back again.
This middle child still needs some love from Samsung. That 3X optical zoom camera should have been a periscope camera.
Honestly, I feel like a higher resolution 3x camera would be sufficient. Any higher and there would be even less of a gap compared to the ultra
I swear, the only reason s20 plus series don't get better is because of the discontinued Note series. With 'ultra' phone in equation of the S series, they intentionally keep the plus down.
But it's still better than iPhone in shooting pictures

Samsung has finally returned to 2020's standards! A 1440p screen and 12 GB of RAM just like my S20+
But a horrible phone in exynos regions. S20+. Eventually got green lines as well.

@@pixels_per_inch my back screen was damn near shattered. Still had no issues with the image after 4 years. I guess I lucked out.
I just got green line for my s20+ snapdragon after one year of use.

Last year's S23 series all had snapdragon SOCs, so you're wrong in saying that "just as last year samsung is using a different chipset depending on the region".

Slight correction however. There was no Exynos variant for s23, s23+ and s23 Ultra. All had a Snapdragon chipset.
(Maybe that's why s24+ is not performing in battery test like s23+)

the screen resolution is higher as well 1440p vs 1080p on the 23+ so that would also account for less battery life
I'd say the S24+ is probably the best overall option for most people out of the three.
I've had my S24 plus since Jan 26th and I've been enjoying it. Almost ready to make it my daily driver over my Google Pixel 8 pro
How is Exynos 2400 chipset. Any heating issue?

Upgraded to this from my S21 Ultra and have no complaints. I avoided previous upgrades because I did not want an S Pen but the other plus models didn't move the needle enough.
Your old phone was the real S Ultra - quite literally a bigger Plus with similar design and better camera setup. The last three Ultras are pretty much just Notes (nothing wrong with that except naming).
One thing that would make me go from my S23U to a Plus model (2026, I think) would be bigger sensors in all three cameras. Then I would be ready to consider giving up on long telephoto and the pen.
Anyway, good luck using the new model - it's good that they finally dialed down heavy processing of default 12 MP photos :-)
Same here, S21ultra to S24+. It still feels very weird to hold since the S21 Ultra is slimmer and heavier to hold while the S24+ really light but wider to hold. Dunno what it is but it hasn't won me over from the S21ultra.
I tested out s24+, and decided to keep my s21U. To me, s21U cameras are still better. They are close but when the focus is faster and more accurate. Photo in s24+ is also quite noisy and grainy in dark elements as mentioned in this review
@@danielimck Well I also had the S21U till 2 years and it took some amazing photos at first but later like always Samsung degrades the quality of it with software updates as they give new Smartphones and now I have S23 Plus with no regrets at all, have everything I want but i just miss one thing which was better speakers thats all.

Got this phone through signing up mobile data plan. Never did any research about this phone and i used it for awhile and i liked it. I dont know why Exynos makes everyone against it and i think it was ok ?
Got My S24+ today after 10 long years with iPhone.
The display at QHUD is amazing and the camera is great too.
I got the Pixel 8 but I didn't like it but this S24+ will be my phone from now on.

Much respect for your reviews, they are very informative. My opinion is that at 6:51 and 7:20 it is unfair to complain about "inconsistent white balance" because there are many different lights where each has its own color temperature illuminating the objects. I think the cameras captured these different color temperatures very well. Also, the apparent lack of details is because the S23 has more sharpening and the S24 has a more soft post-processing. As they are, I prefer to edit a soft picture and increase its sharpness manually than trying to adjust an over sharpened picture that has already lost details.

I own the s23, s24, pixel 8 and s24 plus(no im not rich i got them for less than 400 a piece) and the plus is my favorite. I thought i would hate a large phone because i got little hands but i adore it
I loved the phone but man, those audio speakers were a disappointment compared to my S23+. Very 2 dimensional and lacking bass, hurts my ears just listening to certain music. Returned my 24+ today and keeping my 23, audio output is too important for me. Hopefully mine was just an outlier but I’ve read most audio discussions on community forums having the same quality issues. I’m excited for 6.1 and the AI hopefully next month for the 23, that’s what I loved most from the 24 while I had it.

I am enjoying mine. But I still loved my S10 plus; just took advantage of getting it free through Verizon. The battery lasts a long time playing Spotify and searching internet all day. Wish they would make them more square and less rectangle though!

I am exactly the same in terms of my S10 plus. I am still using mine until my 24 plus arrives, and to be frank, if it was still receiving security updates I wouldn't change it. Battery is still great, has memory card support and the good old fashioned headphone jack. Screen is great, size is fine for me and it does pretty much all I need. Still, I suppose I had to "upgrade" at some point, sadly.
Same for me if they was not forcing me to upgrade by not updating the apps then I would still have my samsung galaxy 10+, but coming from a galaxy 10+ to a 24+ is a big jump, can't wait to physically see the tech difference.
Its quite weird@@missym2751 . The buttons are where I thought they should have been on the 10plus in terms of power button height, but after all these years the muscle memory still kicks in. At the moment the screen doesn't seem to be quite as colourful, like the difference between the store setting on a TV, where they try to make it all "pop", but it is actually more accurate, that's taking a little getting used to, but I had the same issue with a new TV and a six year old one. 24plus is a little bigger physically and the bezzles top and bottom make it feel much bigger. I always have mine in a case so the edges don't make too much difference but the 25 is thicker and the none rounded edges makes it feel even more so. I have quite large hands so I am fine, but if I didn't have a case on I think the 24plus would dig into my palm a little more with its non rounded edges. I loved the Apple design that it is a "homage" too so have no issues with the design language. Oh and I do prefer the flat screen. Sure everything seems snappier with the whole 120hz thing, but it isn't a game changer to me, put them side by side and it becomes much more apparent, but its nice without being a "must have" but then all of my monitors are only 60hz, so, you know. But the brightness, oh my word, it's like stepping out at midday v dusk, mad how bright it is.Cameras are very definitely an improvement, I have just taken a side by side picc and bloody hell, I thought the old one was fine, which it was, but this, heavens. Sound is a huge improvement in terms of quality and volume, new updates are obviously not something I have set up properly yet. The extra RAM is great. I still miss being able to take out my memory card and stick in my old headphones without an adaptor ,to me, those would be a game changer and almost went down to their midrange for them. Bottom line, is it a step up, good grief yes. Samsung sent me a 15% off for my birthday as well as the online 5% so I upped the storage to 512gb and if we consider the iPhone 15 plus to be the nearest competition it came in 30% less for the same storage. Once I get used to things I am sure I will love it as much as I did my S10 plus when I got it.

Nobody in youtube is talking about exynos 2400 battery efficiency against S23 snapdragon gen 2. So this makes me choice S23 over S24.
I recently upgraded from the standard Galaxy S23 to the S24+ model, and I must admit that I had some reservations about whether the difference would be significant enough to justify the upgrade. However, I am delighted to say that my concerns were unfounded. The Galaxy S24+ has exceeded my expectations and is undoubtedly the best phone I have ever owned.
Isnt LTPO display means you can go down to 1fps? Because my s23+ goes to 24fps

S24 plus is the best upgrade for this series. Don't pay extra for extra +50x zoom (i.s 100x zoom) thatbis practically not needed.

if they brought back the headphone jack I would buy it. I use an external microphone for recording videos which uses the jack as well as a credit card reader that uses the jack. it's annoying that they did away with this jack even though there are still uses for it outside of headphones. come on samsung. I thought you were better than that!

Amazing phone
The 1440p on non ultra series is a huge upgrade.
A sideways upgrade from the S23+ and in Europe, Exynos probably means it is a downgrade for most of us that have suffered the inequity of the Exynos on the S20+, and S22+. Probably a good year to skip upgrading unless you have no choice or get a good deal. £1000 is a lot for a Samsung-made chip that Google buys for $50 versus the SD8G3 which costs $200.
Has anyone else noticed a slight static noise coming from the earpiece/top speaker during calls? I'm using an S24 Plus, and I've already replaced my phone once, but the issue persists.
People saying its trash because of exynos havent even used the phone yet exynos has gotten so much better than the first few generations like the 990 etc..

Nice job, but a major bummer that the cameras are still the same for three years. Worth it upgrade if you got the S 20+ as it’s good to go back to the 1440 screen and higher ram and if you pre-ordered you got the 512 storage so you’re not missing the SD card .I have to say I don’t like the flat sides as it makes the phone harder to hold and I don’t know why we have to copy apple if I wanted an iPhone I would’ve bought an iPhone the S 23+ as much easier to hold. I still think the phones overpriced at $1000 for what it offers and the only way it’s a good deal if you had an old phone to trade in and Samsung gave you $400-500.

Finally, they gave the plus model some much needed upgrades in the form of quad HD display, 12GB Ram, larger battery and much better build quality. Recently, there has been too far a crevasse between the plus and the ultra. Indeed, the plus is $300-$650 cheaper than the ultra and maybe a much better option for some people. Of course, that is if you don't care about an s pen or some gimmicky titanium. Obviously, I would future-proof my purchase and only get it with the Snapdragon 8 generation 3. It's been my experience that the performance of exynos chipsets declines over time and are usually a ticking time bomb.

Mobile phones have put consumer grade digital cameras into the graveyard and the s24+ is performing much better than I expect when you realize how tiny the photo sensors are. This is the phone I will pick over the Ultra.

I was planning to get the S24+ until I saw the chip set, which Exynos instead of Snapdragon, which all of the S23 lineup uses it.
Only thing preventing me from getting a 2nd hand s23+ is the tiny 8Gb ram. 12Gb should've been standard since 2022 and both iqoo 11 and 12 come with 16gb
Iqoo isn't sold in the us market that not a real option in the us.

@kasadam85 my s23+ didn't have that issue. Did you optimize your storage frequently? My s24+ definitely cruises through the multitasking, but the s23+ wasn't really a struggle for me either.

I use s20fe dual sim, with low gsm coverage aera...
By just making a few phone calls, and 2 hrs screen time, the battery has dropping to 5 percent in 9 hr. (Disabled 5g, 60hz screen, and reduced brightness)
Its because exynos modems are more hungry while communicating with gsm towers.
I'm in Europe, so i ALMOST purchased an S24 ultra just to avoid exynos in S24 and 24+...
But its too big and bulky to fit in my pocket... S23 is too pricy compared to s24 and it just have a gen2 ...
So i decided to say Goodbye to Samsung, and hello to Xiaomi 14...
Bottom line: Im not a gamer, i just need a decent phone that i can depend on. I'm sick watching the battery percentage while using gps, or do a video call on mobile data..
Xiaomi will provide the almost same performance, way better battery life for a cheaper price in a smaller form factor...
I do not care about the pen, and ai, and all those fancy bells and whistles...
So i'll give my personal data to china instead of corea from march..
