I've always thought the font jazz pickup by itself sounds sweet! maybe not exactly like a p-bass, but once it's in a mix it doesn't even matter. Great demo!
Thx! 👍🎸
haha me too that's how I use mine for years.
Fender + flats = the sound of bass. Doesn't matter if it's a J or P. Both are solid.
True! 😊✌️
It’s like watching Thing from the Addams Family perform a duet with his cousin.
ive been having a little giggle about this for awhile now
Thanks for listening! 😊✌️
I really like this bass and hands floating in the void video style, but both distinct and solid tones. Got half wounds on my jbass currently.
Never tried half wounds 🤔
I think somebody really likes James Brown.
I got ants in my pants and I need to dance!
The hum from the soloed neck pickup on a jazz always bugged me mostly bc foh guys always griped about it.
Thanks for listening! 😊✌️
Love these. Maybe do one where you change your hand picking position too. For example moving closer to the neck on the jazz bass with the front pickup sounds more like a p bass. Keep it up
Great suggestion! ✌️😉🎸
Video is awesome. What kind of flats to you have on that J Bass?
Thomastik Jazz Flats on both basses. Thanks for listening! 😊✌️
Nice! You have a similar video on roundwounds?
Not yet! Stay tuned! 😉
P-bass
Thanks for listening! ✌️
JB ✌️
😊🎸
Superbad!
Yeap! 😊✌️
motown = pbass
Yes! However, I like Jazz Bass with tone at 0 😊
I think James Jamerson popularized the precision bass in Motown's music. Too bad he wasn't able to get along when the music scene moved to LA in the 80's.
@@PaulaBean He died in 1983.
@@BARTFUNKBASS They moved in 1972...
@@JonPackardBass Yes, but by then they no longer mattered. The only successful albums in the 70's were those by Stevie and Marvin.
