Tom Adams I so agree It's not just the music it's what the song is about .For years I had chills every time I heard this😍I can't lie I still have em oohh yea!!!
Was great growing up in the Bay Area in the mid 80’s. Hanging out in a little dive of a bar in Alameda, ca. with maybe a capacity of 100. Had the privilege of listening to the Alameda Allstars and friends, occasionally including Brad Gillis, Danny Chauncey (38 special) never announced hardly a cover charge. They were there for the love of music! So much talent!
To those being critical of the vocals, an instrument can be precisely tuned, but a human voice can't and has to constantly move to hit it's notes well. And older bands that refuse to use autotune or lip sinc, appreciate them and don't be critical, admire them for their real live performances...
I seen Night Ranger last night. It was an awesome August evening in Tucson, AZ and they sounded as they did back in high school. How refreshing to see a group from my time....totally awesome! God speed!
Amazing how such a simple song still gives me chills - this was the signature song of my band my senior year of high school in '84/85 and they asked and asked and asked to play this one again and again - always chicks asking or guys that wanted to slow dance with the chicks (yeah...that's what we called it....slow dancing...) that were asking. So maybe it has sentimental value in some ways. And I was the drummer who CAN'T sing.....
He dropped them on purpose though..i watched them in Asheville nc builtmore house with ccr and they freakin rocked it out had a blast doing it..im 42 and was my first concert,, all i can say is i missed some good concerts in my life.
I'm really glad to hear/see he still has a good voice. Look at others of his era, David Lee Roth, most notably that can't sing now. I was never a Night Ranger fan, never bought their records, or went to a show, bit I've always liked this song.
dude.... whenever i die... and my time comes up ... i would love to MOTORIN ALL THE WAY to wherever the after life would take me with this song......YEAAAAAHHHHH
34 años despues recordamos atraves de esta música y seguimos esperando que surjan nuevos grupos que lleguen a ese nivel y sabemos que difícilmente sucedera
i agree w/ the other posters that this is a little bloated. it's just a song, . I like it better when they just ripo into the song and not all the posturing and las vegas opening....just sayin
I love this song, but as with most great songs live, everybody can kill the instruments, but they can't match the super-studio-enhanced-perfected vocals of the recording. Even way more so now days, bands do vocals in the studio that can't possibly be done live. Hence all the lip-syncing.
One of the best 80's rock songs ever written .

Now and always, one of the most electrifying live bands. And the song will stand forever.

HeRacesTheSun Well said indeed.
GoMiGman Thank you, much appreciated :)
And there is no telling how bad his monitors are and that vibrating boom stand I'm sure didn't help matters much.
stfu
Exactly 👌
And singing lead vocals whilst drumming is a forking HARD thing to do as you're so out of breath! He does an amazing job!! 👍

They absolutely tore it up in Detroit two summers ago. Jack had a ball and it showed. One of the best concerts I've ever been to free or otherwise!
This song will outlive us all.
who ever had more fun rocking??? saw these guys at illinois state fair 2012?? Cheap trick headlied. They were awesome!!!!! Love it when you mean it!!!
Night Ranger still tears it up .F ing Love this Song .January 1 2019
This shit spells 80s rock ballad
My daughter is a Jr at OU (Oklahoma University), she and lots of her friends keep Spotify tuned to 80s music these day, that tells you something.
Saw them in Puerto Rico in 1984 with Bon Jovi....Great memories of the 80's...

WHAT A SONG- LOVE ❤️ IT
Looks like it's still fun for them.
When he dropped the drumsticks, it reminded me that even these legendary musicians are still human. Haha great performance!
He dropped them on purpose though..i watched them in Asheville nc builtmore house with ccr and they freakin rocked it out had a blast doing it..im 42 and was my first concert,, all i can say is i missed some good concerts in my life.
wow.....he still sounds fabulous!!!!
These boys can still play!!! I love it - music over image!!

Please post a video of you singing.
you are right. I hate when people are like "you do it better" it isn't about "me" it's about the artist who can't sing anymore.
how??? how can he play drums and sing??? badass!!!!
Great!
dude.... whenever i die... and my time comes up ... i would love to MOTORIN ALL THE WAY to wherever the after life would take me with this song......YEAAAAAHHHHH
Great lyrics. Very intelligent song.
How is it intelligent?? Just wondering
You explain to me what the words mean?? Music kicks ass tho
awesome song!!

Shit i miss this music
I thought the same thing! She is a fan and makes the show! Ha
Uff, hace años no escuchaba esta canción...
me gusta mucho!!!!
80's anthem!
Can't forget Boogie Nights movie scene so funny.
Cosmo......... He's Chinese.
Brad Gillis is awesome! So is Night Ranger!!
80's METAL.. now simply rock.........JUST KICKS ASS......nothing comes close.
Will Ferrell sounds great!!
Still pretty good
Brad Gillis still knows how to rock! :D
Kelly has gone from looking like Will Ferrell in 1983, to looking like Darrel Waltrip in 2012.
Who is that blonde in the front row in the beginning, wow is she adorable!! come say hello, if your out there
Brad Gillis killer whammy bar wizard!
MRDINO0419 The man is shamefully under rated
Joel Hoekstra is the man!
Kelly keagy is incredible as a drummer that can sing
Seen these guys five times. Not the best-sounding rendition of Sister, but what a fun rock-n-roll party this festival must have been.
Yep, not the best - but, ah, what the heck!
Is that the talk show host from The Hunger Games at about 1:38?
Okay!
Sister CHRISTIAN! GOD SPEED!
no complaints about the vocals
Who is the blonde girl in the beginning of this video?? She's adorable,
Hot looking and sexy!
that was actually funny.
Yep, the old wireless system is built into that thing, pretty nifty huh
Vice city anyone
Still hot as in '83! I like Sister Christian better than Mr. Christian.
Low notes but it's okay and fine! Great drummer on vocals!
He is using wireless system... no cables. This allows guitarists freedom to move on stage.
Come on you puppies!
i agree w/ the other posters that this is a little bloated. it's just a song, . I like it better when they just ripo into the song and not all the posturing and las vegas opening....just sayin
When did Sebastian Bach's sister replace Jeff Watson??
How’s Christy now?
I had no idea that Will Farrell sang this.
I love this song, but as with most great songs live, everybody can kill the instruments, but they can't match the super-studio-enhanced-perfected vocals of the recording. Even way more so now days, bands do vocals in the studio that can't possibly be done live. Hence all the lip-syncing.
T Bergs
Enhanced = stacked. Perfected = lots of takes.
Backup singers wayyyy too loud in the mix. Sound guy??
"smoldering"..?
Girl at beginning looked alot like reese Witherspoon to me
Even Jeff Watson hates this fuckin song.
SistA Christian
vocals not the best = but the band rocked = Will Farrell should go back to acting
That's it from this band? Come on M3 folks put Don't Tell you Love me or something rocking not this crap that they hated writing to appease the label.
Great song; great band. But admit, this sounded bad....esp. the vocals
