Still seems crazy to me that I don’t hear more people talking about how awesome Taylor is doing with this band. As others said, her voice is amazing, but it is also pretty distinct to me, and the band can actually change up their style a bit and not miss a beat! Keep kicking ass! As much as I want to hear the full band, It’s still great to hear one of the new songs live!

She's one of the best and most soulful rock singers to come along since the artistic explosion of the early 90's.
bad generation, she is one of those that will be loved to death in the future, still fame or views doesn't mean anything, never make that the goal, those who appreciate will never forget and those are the only views that matter.
Maybe cause the band is not really hitting the metalsphere.. I know Lacuna Coil, Nightwish, Guano Apes with strong female picture and impact, but this.. this is not enough to capture ears and create real emotions

That's because she isn't singing live genius. She hasn't had 1 live perfirmance from her album yet. They've all been pre recorded vocals

@@noratora5326 I think this is just a testament to how good Taylor's voice actually is, because this IS different than the album, you can tell based off of the inflection in her voice at different parts. I think the fact that people actually think this is striped down vocals from the studio shows how good she really is, since thats just not the case here.

FUCKING AWESOME!! Ben & Taylor, the dynamic duo. He's such an underrated & underestimated guitarist, Ben deserves more love. He's fucking fantastic in every single song. Nearly forgot to add awesome songwriter too, they both write the songs. Such a great team these two

As a guy that messes around with the guitar too, I think his command of the acoustic, specifically, is just incredible. People often talk about her voice but don't give Ben his due. I never forget the guy, I could listen to his playing without the vocals but I don't think I would enjoy many of their songs just sung acapella. I dig her voice though and I am not a great fan of female vocalists in this genre. I'm so glad that these folks are making music that is not mainstream.

Surprising thing for anyone to say considering how many bands have replaced their front man/singer. Not sure I've heard anyone say it about any band except maybe those known by an artist name rather than a band name.
The front man is Cindy Lou Who. Given that this is just the 2 of them, is it the whole band? Have been a fan for so long. Love to see them do a MTV unplugged type tour. Love to see the whole band in these unplugged clips, as you are correct

Ben hits you hard even in acoustic, so much talent in one band
He's a fantastic guitar player🔥
And to think, the guys were just some hired musicians, hired by the label to be Taylor’s backing band. But they gel so well together that it’s a natural fit. Ben and Mark on the strings, Jamie on the kit and of course, Taylor the voice, just a perfect blend of talent and skill.
That's not just talent. That's a hell of a skill, baby!

Wow her tone and rasp… she’s absolutely breathtaking. And Ben’s talent, can’t even verbalize how amazing they are together.
Taylor's vocals always sound so perfect. Love these acoustic versions!
What I really like about her performance here is that she doesn't add any exaggerated vibrato on the longer sustains, which is SO easy to do with an "unplugged" (vocal forefront) version. She really is becoming a better singer as she goes along, which is saying something, as she was always pretty damn strong vocally in my opinion. Thanks for showing us this version.

Taylor is so consistently amazing. Some of the best vocals in the history of rock, and that is no small compliment!
There are many interesting and subtle choices she is making that renders her vocals so unique and fresh. That long held "Love" has no vibrato on it. The listeners desire for an added vibrato on the tail end of that note, especially with the grit in her voice is almost unbearable! Yet every time she delivers that, she is subtly changing it to keep the song moving and fresh. Immensely enjoyable!

Without a doubt, she has THE VOICE of rock and roll! Amazing talent. Him, too.
Although his appearance is like that of an angel, his voice rips like a demon piercing any assumption of his talent. She is the last alternative for rock n roll to make a comeback, a revolution, and her band has been contributing a lot to that.
Anyone who appreciates real rock recognizes when an icon of the movement emerges.
Momsen has a unique voice in that while she sounds extremely soft she can be raspy and raspy at the same time. She can easily express a lot of feeling through her voice, her timbre, and her vocal technique.
Certainly the most amazing singer that has emerged in the last decade and has become one of the best in rock n roll.
Taylor my six year old daughter serenity is going as you for halloween. She is literally one of your biggest fans. She watches your videos over and over and her first fav was death by rock n roll....... since then it has been video after video of pretty reckless. She feels your soul even at 6 years old and I let her sing every last one of your lyrics because I can tell.she feels what u do as u sing..
. To some that wouldnt make sense because she is 6 but to me music touches her the way it does u and that's why she sings the way she does to anything u touch lol. Cant wait till u go on tour so I can carry her on my shoulders all the way to the front so u can sing at her as she sings to u. Here's to u taylor and the band for touching my daughters musical soul the way u guys have. Keep the songs coming.

I remember when The Pretty Reckless came around at first, I definitely liked them but never really loved them. She has just continued to grow and get better and I couldn't be in love any more anymore.

Personally, I don't think Taylor Momsen gets enough credit for her projection. Her tone is iconic for being on the lower side, of course, and the number of female artists who've got that god damn delicious rasp I can only count on one hand lol BUT when you really listen to her, especially when she's live, you can undoubtedly tell that that voice has power behind it straight from the abdomen 👌

I love her voice so much! It’s more gruff than a lot of other female vocals that I hear on the radio, and it makes her sound perfect for rock music.

This has become my favorite song on the record, because there is something so transcendent about it, and the unplugged version in particular with Ben's phenomenal guitar playing elevates Taylor's singing to this wonderfully euphoric and spiritual feeling. This song is the very definition of music not just as a drug, but THERAPY.
I sense a LOT of Soundgarden influence in this as well. So many of their tracks find solace from within... away from the outside world there is a peace within those solitary, dark nights of the soul, perhaps because they create wholeness. Where the introvert would be torn apart by the "sound" the outside world is spitting out, seeking love from within (perhaps self-compassion) allows one to heal from the wounds and harshness of the outside world.

I love how the band has just blossomed from their first album, while uniquely great in their own right and equally fitting in its time, it always felt genuine.
Death By Rock And Roll on the other hand, blew me away - artistically, lyrically and what felt like the strongest elements from previous albums and using those to create something distinctly familiar yet brilliantly unique. It's vulnerable, it packs a punch, it's soulful, edgy but it's 100% The Pretty Reckless and I'm living for it. 🤟❤
