NSU never disappoints! The drumline came to my high school in '97 and did a show for our marching band, left me with goosebumps! Killer technique and style!
Wow. I’m from 🇬🇧we do not have anything like this. I live in Atlanta and really enjoying watching the marching bands. This one….right here….🥰🥰🥰👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Amazing!!! I could watch videos of HBCU Marching Bands all day. They are a National Treasure. This particular "end of the game" video was better than most of the Half Time shows I've seen!!
Man, to be there in person! Witnessing a performance like this is worthy of a bucket list. I’m tempted to drive halfway across the country just for this!
I'm sitting here with my beats solo3 and I'm feeling like I'm there standing on that street thank you and them all for the opportunity watch this loved it
Norfolk State is very a entertaining band. However, be careful what you ask for. There are a lot of excellent college drumlines. One is in Ann Arbor, MICHIGAN. GO BLUE! ua-cam.com/video/Uuj7XresNZ8/v-deo.html
@@ikarooz as someone who marched tenors for a corps style university, WGI, and DCI, HBCUs like Norfolk State, Bethune Cookman and co play with the hands of DCI but also entertain and hype up the crowd. They don't just play notes. It's why UM and MSU are less well known to non-band nerds than TBDBITL even though they play harder stuff cleaner. People wanna be entertained
Love the crisp sound of the snares! Don’t know what the drums playing at minute 9:46 are, but they way they’re playing them remind me of African Talking drums. It’s in the DNA. 😉
Overall cleanliness, given how many visuals and body movements were performed, was very decent. They rocked the System Blue drums (by the Concord Blue Devils DCI drumcorps), which look slick. Loved the performance......The only thing I can never figure out is why most competitive lines put their "best" snare in the middle (AKA "Center Snare"), while a good amount of non-competitive lines put their best snare at the END of the snareline. The point is to put your best snare in the middle to maximize cleanliness in "listening in". For example, what has the highest chance of being clean; a snareline who's furthest snare (listening ear) away from the best player is 5 snares away, or the snareline where the furthest snare (listening ear) is 9 snares away? The Blue Devils put their best snare in the middle. All DCI drumcorps do.....Again, loved this performance. It's obvious a lot of time was put into putting this together. Great work to all performers and staff!
I'm pretty sure they are aware of the center theory. They've had many members march in top 12 DCI Corps. I know of a member that marched in the 08 and 09 Blue Devils. The legion also had a trumpet player that marched Cadets 02-03( soloist), who is now on staff with the Bluecoats. Anyway love me some MDFS!!!
@@teressabutler5175 They are used to seeing HOOK-BOOGIE, so I guess they wouldn't know about the Z28... It's very high schoolish to me, M100 bout business... Hubba 100
Why are so many of the band members losing their hats? I love this band, but the hats falling all over the place is a distraction. I still give them two thumbs up…👍🏿👍🏿
so, not gonna lie, I don’t like the sound of the “all black school” music programs. they’re very sloppy sacrificing technique for the “cool” sound. this group nailed technique, timing and style all in one go. very impressive.

One of the cleanest drumlines. Period. DCI level. Amazing….the whole drumline. Makes me giddy! Lol….the band geek in me.
I’d put this Drumline ups against ANY college drumline, period. Precise, technical, and lit!!

I have never seen that many people in a band before.
The number 60 from the back of the lady dances that's how girl big red go Big Red go you got your own fan club girl
So why so many folks doing back bends? Is that some kind of conductor move? Does it mean drumroll?
That was killer!!
