relaxing for you but super stressful for this tree, all these stages should be spread over several work sessions, stop believing that the trees are at your disposal.
@@BonsaiSociety Oh my, Mr. Easterbrook, that is quite the compliment coming from u sir. I have just begun my voyage into Bonsai but I recognize your name.
The amount of thought and effort that goes into each one of your videos is phenomenal. Truly inspiring. I've started looking into bonsais due to this channel, thank you for the quality content.
Your videos combine the appreciation of nature, design, storytelling and human connection in their highest forms. I come for the bonsai, but it's the clips with your nephew that leave me most touched. So much beauty packed into 13 minutes!
"appreciation of nature" is that not an oxymoron in this case(or bonsai in general)? A bonsai is at heart (hu)mans arrogance and the need to control nature. A Bonsai itself is not "natural", appreciation of nature would be more like "not messing with it, or let nature run its course" etc.. Don't get me wrong it is some form of art and expression but it surely is NOT appreciation of nature.
@@zn4rf Pick up a dictionary before u chastise someone. The word "appreciate" means "to admire" in this instance. It is not implied to mean a passive voyeur of nature. In this instance as long as one's ministrations are not meant to cause harm and have no hindrance of the species showing life, then one absolutely can "appreciate nature" and use specimens to express one's artistic talents. 15 minutes in another world. In an oasis full of bonsai! As always very professional, BUT above all very emotional, with an incredible amount of feeling and an unbelievable sense for the tree and the moment. THANKS!
Nothing makes a hobby more enjoyable than sharing it with the family's next generation. Seeing it through their eyes brings back the wonder and excitement we can lose over time. Through our ancestral development we were definitely intended to have and raise children. It makes everything in life brighter and better.
The thought, care and attention you put into not only your trees, but also your videos is awe inspiring. I was thrilled to see this new release today, thank you so much for sharing, as a newcomer to bonsai I find watching you work fascinating and extremely valuable. No.1 for top quality bonsai content, never stop! 🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲
The fact that the juniper in the book still taken care of and distinguished as the book tree is amazing. Should be even more emotional for you to see it. Great video as always.
Always a pleasure when you upload a new video, your nephew is blessed to have such a loving uncle, he is a precious child and I hope he continues to develop his love of trees and nature as he gets older.
Absolutely amazing that you managed to get a photo of the same bonsai from the book 35 years later. Unreal. Just diving into this rabbit hole and your content is amazing. I rarely comment but had to say thank you for your videos, I enjoy them so much.
Honestly, one of the most incredible things about this UA-cam channel is that the videos are basically also like bonsai. You can't just rush a video and pump one out every day. That's not how it works. Similarly, you can't rush bonsai because all of it is about the wait, the patience, and the dedication. This is one of the best channels, I swear.
DK books are the beeeeeeeeeeeeeeest!! Also, it always astonishes me how people can do things like this to a plant and the plant is like, "Ok cool," whereas I forget to water something ONCE and it's like "Ok I guess I'll just die then."
The Journey is clear for this one - Greatness! Seeing you with Corin from Greenwood Bonsai makes perfect since. Two great channels that are very enjoyable.
