    • @zn4rf
      @zn4rf 2 роки тому

      "appreciation of nature" is that not an oxymoron in this case(or bonsai in general)? A bonsai is at heart (hu)mans arrogance and the need to control nature. A Bonsai itself is not "natural", appreciation of nature would be more like "not messing with it, or let nature run its course" etc.. Don't get me wrong it is some form of art and expression but it surely is NOT appreciation of nature.

    • @ishajac3637
      @ishajac3637 2 роки тому +2

      @@zn4rf Pick up a dictionary before u chastise someone. The word
      "appreciate" means "to admire" in this instance. It is not implied to mean a passive voyeur of nature.
      In this instance as long as one's ministrations are not meant to cause harm and have no hindrance of the species showing life, then one absolutely can "appreciate nature" and use specimens to express one's artistic talents.
      Now kindly carefully step down from your high horse. I wouldn't want you to hurt yourself in a fall.

    The video being awesome as a whole i very much enjoyed that scene when those little branches bend down magically. And what a great idea to not stop when having shaped the tree but continue with the pot...;-)

    Nice to see a 'simple' first transformation. Great production as always :) do you plan to showcase some broadleaf Bonsai as well per chance?

      Thanks Bonsaifly. I have many on the go but it’s usually a case of building rather than subtracting so they’re taking a bit longer. Much less suited to ‘instant’ bonsai!

      @@BonsaiReleaf for sure! I‘d be curious as to how you approach broadleaf trees though - you’ve definitely proven you’re good at conifers, I can only imagine you have some interesting ideas for broadleaf trees too.

    Really great video.I’m assuming you have worked on lots of bonsai trees before UA-cam it would be really cool if you did a tour type thing where you show your whole collection
