It's not what they're telling you. It's what they're not telling you. Know the procedure, laws, and your rights. Don't take anyone's word for it. Know it for yourself.
At about 0:54 the deputy advises the young woman to get her driver license, registration and proof of insurance. I don't think that is a good idea. Better to keep your hands high on the steering wheel in site. When the deputy gets to the car, he or she will tell you what they want. If the documents are in the glove box, tell the deputy and get permission to go for them, and if there is a firearm there, be damn sure to let them know that before you open it. In the case of a woman, as in this one, if there is a gun in your purse and some of the requested documents are in there, again be certain to let them know. Digging around as the deputy or police officer is approaching is a good way to get shot. You can be sure their assumption will be that you are going for a weapon.
Or have it in an area where it’s accessible within 3 seconds. Done and done. My antiquated documents and my DL are between my fingers along with my keys since my car is off and my hands are on the wheel. Done and done. Windows down, interior light on.
Sit perfectly still with your hands on the steering wheel in the 10 and 2 o'clock position. Do not unbuckle your seat belt. The cop will accuse you of not wearing a seat belt and probably cite you for it. Wait until the cop asks for your driver's license, registration and proof of insurance. Then tell the cop where they are and ask if you may reach for them. Be polite and respectful. Do not consent to any searches or seizures of your vehicle or person. Your vehicle may end up getting searched depending on the circumstances. Just do NOT ever CONSENT to a search. Do not answer any other questions. You don't have to. The cop will tell you he/she is simply making conversation. Don't believe it. They are fishing for something to use against you. Declare your right to have an attorney present before any further questioning. And declare your right to remain silent. And then SHUT UP! Say nothing more! Also, if you are ordered to exit the vehicle, the law says you must do so.
Great video . I have been let off quite a few times for just being a good cooperating level headed person. The Officers used there discretion in my favor. I would also vote for a ccw stop video
I have a carry permit and have been stopped a few times. I always put the interior lights on, my 4 ways on and pull to the side of the road. I put my window down and when the officer comes around, I start by saying “Officer, before you and I discuss anything, I want you to know that I have a carry permit and I AM carrying.” I tell him where my sidearm is and tell him that I won’t move my hands from the steering wheel until he instructs me to do so. They always seem to appreciate it. The last time I got a ticket, Bill Clinton was our president.
If all police officers were like these two, so many problems would be solved in this country. Nobody has a problem getting a ticket if they did something wrong. They don’t like it but it shouldn’t be life ending. The problem is most cops do not act like this. It’s interesting to see how white people, for the most part, perceive and interact with officers and how officers interact with them.
Great video, how much did this cost tax payers for the production of it, those look like Hollywood Actor's. Why doesn't the county sheriff's office utilize these funds for inmate services, so that inmates our treated like a human being and not a bunch of caged up animal's. Oh I forgot that even animal's our treated better.
I second that. Being from Ohio it was spelled out how to handle a traffic stop if pulled over while carrying. I can't find anything on the procedures here........just a lot of different peoples different ideas.

Getting pulled over by Deputy gets a lot of scarier when one jumps out of your trunk
LMFAOOO
I got pulled over by a deputy that killed a guy in April. Fucking scary.

" Reaching " for anything BEFORE the Officer gets to your window is a bad idea...

Are you white and live in a middle class community?
@@112477fm are you black and live in the ghetto?
Now post the Law stating, “what you should do when being pulled over”. I will wait for it.

What they don’t tell you what to do while driving while black
Oh, it’s simple... don’t throw a fit and be a giant baby with a weapon, or run. There you go, don’t even need a video little fella.
my truck has crank windows so if I get stopped I wouldnt be able to roll down the passenger window unless I have a passenger
NOW do a video of what really happens if you get pulled over while driving black!
Umm why? And police are very nice.
@@Jarvis-fo9yn Hilarious. I love the sarcasm. Classic!

1:09 Here is some advice to mimic what is happening in the video.
It’s called “not resisting arrest”.
You don’t have to roll your window all the way down.
Don't panic if you get pulled over

could you do one for ccw holders?

If only the new generation had a cop in their car to advise them not to engage in a pissing match during the officers second-most dangerous time.
