Trooper's Report: On February 5th, 2024, I was stationary in the median on Interstate 40 in Pulaski County near the 157 milepost observing eastbound traffic. I noticed a White Mercedes Sprinter Van bearing Rhode Island license plate 86074 traveling east following a Dodge Charger too closely in the left lane. I caught up to the van and made a traffic stop at 4:02 p.m. on the van near the 158- milepost. The van took quite a few seconds before finally deciding to pull over. I came in contact with the driver whom I identified as Paul Magda DOB: by his New Jersey license. I asked if he was hauling anything, and he told me it was just a personal van. He told me he was just passing through and that he went to California to see some friends. He gave me the registration and insurance card. The registration showed the van to be registered to David Scialo and the insurance was listed as commercial insurance to a company called “Cousin's Freight”. I asked him who David was and he told me David was the owner. I could see his jugular vein pulsating on the side of his neck. I told him to stand at my passenger window while I checked his license out. He stepped outside with his hands in his pocket, but he stepped in front of my patrol vehicle even after I pointed specifically to my passenger-side window. I had to tell him again to come to my window. While at my window he kept chewing on something very fast. He told me he went to Novato, California. He told me he was taking the work van back to "him" whom I assumed to be David, the owner. He told me that “he” brought it out “earlier”. He told me he flew out to California and spent 3 or 4 weeks. He told me he used to drive over the road when he was younger. I had trouble getting a return on the Rhode Island license plate but was able to run it by the VIN and get a return. I asked how the van got out to California in the first place. He told me "his uncle lives in Nevada”. He told me it was just a "family thing" as he stared back at the van. He told me he was just working for “his uncle”. I asked if I could check to make sure he had nothing in commerce. He told me “Sure, yeah.” He opened the van’s back door without me asking. I noticed a couple of pallets with multiple brown boxes stacked on top of each other and wrapped in blue plastic. The boxes had no markings on them which raised my suspicion. He told me "This is what I'm hauling for him." I asked what was in the boxes and he said, “It’s uh, it’s uh, solar inverter parts.” I asked if I could check the boxes to make sure that they were solar inverter parts. He started stumbling on his words and told me "You sure can." I asked if he had Bill of Ladings for them and he told me no. I could smell what smelt like coffee beans inside. He stood and watched me unwrap the plastic and cut open a box. He never said a word. I opened one box and could see black vacuum-sealed packages of marijuana. I advised Troop A dispatch that I had one in custody. I detained Mr. Magda and read him his Miranda Rights. He stated he understood. I told him I had been watching the vein in his neck pulsating this whole time. He admitted to me he was taking the marijuana to meet someone in Roanoke, Virginia. He told me he picked it up in California a few days ago. I asked if there were any guns or cocaine in there or "just marijuana" and he told me "Just marijuana". Inside the top box was a packing/flavor list of different flavors of marijuana. It showed to have 17 boxes in total. That's the total number of boxes there were on the two pallets total. Came up on a state boy and I wasn’t speeding had my cruise on like 3 miles over the posted and pulled us over. He said you know the reason why I pulled you over I said no. @@KKano_Frostyou are right, they are not. But when on the traffic stop I begin to find reasonable articulable suspicion that there may be an additional criminal activity a foot is when I begin to search deeper into just a traffic violation.
You got to give the guy credit. He didn't act nervous at all. Obviously, not his first rodeo. The officer certainly had some inside information and saw signs of nervousness that a lay person such as me would not pick up on.
@@explorenakedhe said "he saw the vein in his neck pulsating". Hell I get nervous and anxious when I get pulled over too even without anything illegal in the car 😂
@LasFavoritasDeMichi they some bum ass dudes. Weed isn't hurting anyone yet they want to ruin people's lives with drug charges from something that is legal in almost half the country
as a resident of California and Texas its crazy how you can get arrested for something so small in 1 state and order flower and get it delivered like a box of pizza in another..
Even more of a stark contrast is states with medical marijuana, where you can legally buy it at a clean dispensary and drive home as if you stopped at CVS, or risk jail/prison for many years
Always remember trafficking drugs or not you don't need a good story if you don't talk to police. They aren't there to have a pleasant conversation with you. They are doing their job which is to gather any and all evidence against you. Being cordial with them will not dispel any suspicion they have. Even completely innocent talking openly with them comes with a chance of being erroneously charged with a crime. If you wait until they read you your rights to remain silent it's too late. If after they read you your rights you confess to everything you deserve all that's coming to you and more out of sheer stupidity.
This has got to be the most cooperative criminal I have ever seen. Nice Mercedes Benz van - probably thought he wouldn't get pulled over in such a nice car. These mules need to learn to change their routes and NOT go through Arkansas.
Yeah, I have never in all my years seen any cop tell someone to come to the cops car and talk to them while he sits inside the car like that. Either an informant or he was close to the real semi hauling shit and he was the fall guy 😂
Oh boy, that is what I thought as soon as he said he has very clean record. Loved that movie with Clint Eastwood. Real version of character on this video!
LOL if you're not doing anything wrong FUCK THEM. I would of said I don't answer questions, grabbed my phone and started recording, waiting for my rights to be violated on camera so I can get a fat paycheck. But like I said that is only cuz I ride clean and not doing wrong.
They have informants that tip them off and they have plain clothes officers in the drug areas! They aren’t slick……. Just avoid Arkansas and be smart key 🔑
this is absolutely crazy. Do you have 240 pounds of drugs and you drive in the left lane at 60 miles an hour? This is exactly the definition of stupidity.
First off that trooper leaving him free while he searched the van was crazy all that buddy had to do was kick that rear door closed and take off in the patrol car. You don’t ever ever ever willingly allow them to search your car. The whole idea of “coffee beans” is to throw a dog off the scent it doesn’t work when you say sure open my stuff and go through it. Every question should have a one word response…….”lawyer”

Go figure weed is more important than capital murder
That is one strange way to get from northern California to New Jersey. I 80 would have been the quickest route. I wonder how many of these cases end up getting dropped for illegal search and seizure? Not only was he not following to close, an excuse many of these officers give for pulling people over, but there was no reason to have the guy get out of the van. He gave the officer his license, the registration and proof of insurance.
The driver wasn't too smart speeding with drugs that van was new has a cruse control he is tailgating and speeding. Then after he is cuffed and told he has a right to remain silent and to an attorney what does he do tells the officer everything.
Officer Price humming the lyrics to “nah nah nah nah, hey hey, good bye” from the beginning of the stop! Lol. “I do this for a living sir”, is an understatement!
I'm amazed at how this officer allowed the suspect to stand over him through the passenger window. (Advantage ..suspect) and then to turn your back on the suspect who is Not handcuffed or restrained and crawl blindly it to the van is asking for a disaster.
Officer didn't even pat him down before he went into the van. Not a good idea to turn your back on a suspect and walk into the back of the vehicle when you don't know if they are armed.
Psychedelics saved me from years of uncontrollable depression, anxiety, smoking, and illicit pills addiction. Imagine carving heavy chains for over a decade and then all of a sudden that burden is gone. Believe it or not, in a couple of years they'll be all over for treatment of mental health related issues.
Psilocybin is legal in some states and mushroom therapy is allowed in many states as a legitimate medical treatment. So I believe soon it'll be globally used as a treatment for anxiety, depression, and more.
To be honest, mushrooms are one of the most amazing things on the planet and it is natural, they serve in many ways not only for mental related issues.
Can you help me with a reliable source I would really appreciate it. Many people talk about mushrooms and psychedelics but nobody talks about where to get them. It is very hard to get a reliable source here in New Zealand. Really need!
Yes, Sporeville. I had the same experience with anxiety, depression, PTSD, and addiction... Mushrooms definitely made a huge difference to why I'm clean today.
I wish they were readily available in my place. Microdosing was my next plan of care for my husband. He's 59 & has many mental health issues plus probably CTE & a TBI that left him in a coma 8 days. It's too late now I had to get a TPO as he's 6'6 300+ pound homicidal maniac. He's constantly talking about killing someone. He's violent. Anyone reading this Familiar w/ BPD knows if it is common for an obsession with violence.
They did such a good job of snitching ASP Price had to tell his supv. on the phone what he busted, what model of van it was in. But thanks for the good chuckle you provided, ever think about charging for that instead of giving them away free?
Nah. This video just follows the "availability heuristic" which biases viewers like yourself to believe that they have an unbelievably high success rate at doing this. In reality they have been fishing for a win for a while, but no one posts those on UA-cam. Also, all of these guys have a tell or are bad at talking. You could tell by around the 5:45 mark this guy had stuff by how his story was put together. This is how state police operate on major highways like i40. All of the stops are the same. All of the stories and tells are the same. All of the vehicles are out of state sprinter vans or rental cars. Not one of them know how to invoke the 5th...

Literally the same thing every single time lol. I just want to know who is dropping these tips. And for all the meat riding boot lickers that need to touch grass, no cop asks you to step out and walk back to their car during a routine traffic stop (to check you out and make you feel nervous)

I hate watching these cops turn their backs on these criminals without searching their person first. I know that cops want to appear like they aren't suspecting anything but there's a point where it becomes reckless.
alot of people probably dont know this but its common knowledge between truck drivers that the cargo area of any commercial vehicle in the us can legally be searched at any point in time with absolutely zero probable cause… why do u think the officer was hovering over the vehicle being commercial? because he knew he could search it regardless what the driver was saying.

Doesn’t matter if you don’t talk, or answer questions or don’t agree to search. Officer has every right to get the drug sniff dog 🐕 out there. Detain you and find your stash that way. Doesn’t matter. You ain’t getting out of it.
As soon as he told the trooper that it was a 'commercial' van it was all over. That idiot had no idea what he was saying, and the ramifications of doing 'commercial' interstate transport. At that point the trooper doesn't even need probable cause to search. This guy's not so bright, that's why he's doing the dirty work.
The officer owned him. He played him like a cheap harmonica. Don't get out of the vehicle unless you're ordered to. He had you by that window where he could read your body language... and certainly don't answer his questions so freely, if at all. Then you consent to the search, and talk like a parakeet. If you're gonna be hauling something like this, at least have some basic, common sense knowledge of how to behave after you're stopped. ( Of course, the first and most obvious way to avoid this, is to not take part in illegal activities)
The legal weed is expensive. So the blackmarket has shot back up big time. Me myself being a "69"Woodstock patron I''m glad I stopped that shit 40 yrs ago. Most of my friends are dead or dying due to pot and alcohol.
These people need to stand up for their rights more. Should’ve never gotten out of the car or explained where he was going. The cop can fish all he wants for as long as he wants and the more he does the better a chance of the case has getting thrown out
I was thinking the same thing… where I’m going or coming from is none of there business… give me my ticket or let me go… And no you can’t search my vehicle call the dog…. I’m definitely not making it that easy for them…
As a former trooper in missouri you're trained to look for vehicles for possible transports. Rental cars, box trucks etc with plates from hot zones such as Oregon. Texas. California. Florida etc. Any state that has a high number of Trafficking. Arkansas is by far the best troopers. Them and Indiana will catch you every time. Go up into Oklahoma and into missouri. Just skip Arkansas all together. And of course they will hit you with following too close. But he had you at a different state plate
Number one reason, people get pulled over while smuggling is following too close, people pay attention. Keep good distance while Transporting As long as you don't break any traffic Laws, you'll be okay. U will have a better chance at beating a case
People in the comment section act like following to close is like jay walking, wrong! Following to close is the worst violation and very dangerous too. Any cop will pull you over AND ask you why and where you going, if your answers don’t make sense you are automatically suspicious to him and he will put you through the porter call ..so stop the he was tipped off by a snitch or dealer because this is what cops do and been doing since the beginning of driving cars time!!!!!!!
At 14:50 the cop calls someone on his cell phone and says "I got the Springer Van Loaded" so YES. This was a tip off and an intended stop. Who ever he called already knew about a sprinter van and what it was hauling.
I, for one, can attest that when traveling long distances, nothing is more annoying than cars (especially trucks) riding the fast lane going slow, holding up traffic. Also, I don't appreciate on major highways when traveling how speed limits will drop and raise so much. Also, while traveling south (especially Georgia) how is the entire highway considered a work zone "fines double" 😂 with not ONE single worker or construction vehicle in sight. Tell me that's not a money ploy.. Georgia BY FAR holds the HIGHEST probability of getting pulled over for any traffic violations! It's honestly kind of gross how much they try to rob the general public just going about their business.. I get if your going 120 MPH but if your just keeping up with traffic, leave them people alone! As for this guy, shouldnt be trafficking dude, you deserve what you get.
0:53 Dude said he was living in New Jersey, had just visited California and was on his way to Rhode Island. They are in Arkansas. So tell me this, what are the chances that the green car that was in front of the van and pulled over to let the ASP car by, is also from New Jersey? The ASP pulled the van over because he said the van was following too closely to the car in front of him; the green car with a yellow plate (New Jersey has yellow plates). If you look at the sequence of events before the cop pulled the van over, the green car had no reason to pull over. There were four vehicles in the left lane moving past the semi in the right lane. Two of them passed the semi and continued on, but the green car pulled to the right behind the semi, the same truck he was trying to pass just a moment before, and for no reason. He was making progress to pass the truck but then slowed and pulled over in the right lane. The ASP had not yet turned on his lights or sirens so once again, why did he pull over? It wasn't to let the van by since if he had continued on, he could have pulled over in the right lane in front of the semi instead of behind it. The green car with yellow New Jersey plates pulling to the right makes no sense considering what he was doing just seconds before.....UNLESS, he was also involved in the transportation and saw the cop car coming up behind them and wanted to see if the ASP car would pass them. Dude driving the van said his boss sent him there by plane to pick up the van, but I think he drove to California from New Jersey in that green car with the New Jersey plates and was just driving it back because it was his turn to drive.
@@stacyjohnson42 Probably some homeless dude living on the streets agreed to haul it for cartel. Problem is he, or his family will be required to pay for the cartels losses or they will murder him in prison.

Shit happens that's why you should never take the chance to ruin your life

@@stacyjohnson42 Probably some homeless dude living on the streets agreed to haul it for cartel. Problem is he, or his family will be required to pay for the cartels losses or they will murder him in prison.
