This is the easiest way to beat the game but if you are still having problems progressing through the game even with this build then it means you simply did not collect enough Scadutree Fragments. The game tells you from the start when you enter the DLC that these “Scadutree Fragments” will help you bolster your abilities to deal and negate damage.
I heard that barricade shield AOW got nerfed when the game had released. It apparently only lasts around 7 seconds and uses more fp than preferred, so there could possibly be better options.
It has much less guard and non physical resists than a fingerprint stone shield. You gonna get owned by anything that hits hard or doesn't use physical damage. It has less reach than a lance, more like a dagger. Anything that is mobile is gonna be a nightmare to hit with it. It's main advantage is low weight needing less endurace and low strength requirements giving a mage etc a good meelee weapon and shield.
If I need a shield will use the fingerprint stone shield or the dlc one with higher guard and a thrusting weapon like a lance with blood affinity for damage. A little slower but safer
I tried this and it works great! Super-boring though, so I didn't use it again until the final boss, which I have to admit, was just too difficult for me. I think the shield is bugged, as you do not appear to lose stamina if getting hit while blocking and attacking. You only lose the stamina corresponding to the attack, not the block.
I like this shield but I find the best ash of war is cold infused with the basic scaling to keep the guard boost. At least this isn't bugged like chicken leg or other stupid perfume. And you will not need summons.
@@k808 yes they nerf it, but this still is one of the easiest ways to beat the entire game, you now just have to be a bit more careful and manage your stamina accordingly. The Two-Headed Turtle Talisman will help a lot.
@@SaintEve1105 most do, all my friends and I alone all have many 150s. Just sad to see creators with loony toons levels where you can just do everything essentially, no reason to not farm level 400+

You are underrated sir
Actually got the shield already but didn't know it was this powerful :)) What a way to cheese the game

When it gets' nerf'd we can blame streamers - this is why we cannot have nice things
nerfed already

Now it looses stamina quickly. Need to manage it with the enemy moves.

I’m thinking of making a tank endure build with the staff of loss and just spam endure and night comet lol
Can this shield be used to parry in the abismal woods.
No
@@genious1871 no, you need to use a shield that has parry

Great shield ?
The stamina bug has been fixed in 1.12.3, so I doubt the build is as an easy winbutton any longer. I haven't tried though.

Perfect for all crying who wanna play a hard game with vergina mode

@@benjiskitts they just fix the stamina consumption, this still is one of the easiest way to beat the entire game and the last boss.

"level 193" I see you don't PvP or care for multiplayer lol
Plenty of people don't care about that 🤷♂️. If you wanna do that, make a character to leave at a certain level.

@@BlootusWealth the new PvP meta for the DLC is level 200 or around it.
