I had a professor like this in college. He was supposed to be teaching anthropological methods but instead had us watch recordings of ACDC concerts and talked about how good of a guitar player he was in his youth for the whole semester.

Danny's content has been transitioning way more into more skit focused content, with less reactionary stuff and more opportunities for skits, and I've really been enjoying it! I think it is a really good balance of "oh my god wtf is this person doing" and "oh my god what is danny doing".

As a fellow graphic designer, what you know is useful and needed. It's just that convincing clients not only of that but that we deserve a livable wage for our skill is the hardest part on top of them respecting we're not jack of all trades. Honestly courses/colleges need to focus on how to close with clients at the prices we need and contracts or have profs. use nepotism to get their students jobs 😫

Ok but as someone who took four years of graphic design classes, you DO need a brand guide. Specifically, you need ME to make you a brand guide. Please, I need to know that everything I've learned about kerning, color theory, target audiences and the rule of thirds was worth something.
What’s a brand guide?
@@moonshineaudios5740 it's a document of rules you use to keep branding consistent, such as "this is the font we always use for headlines", "only put our logo on black and white photos", "stick to two of these four specific colors if you're making pamphlets or flyers for us", etc. These days they also include social media guides like "each tweet from our profile should end with one of these emojis", "only share posts that use this specific hashtag" and language guidelines like which type of slang they can or cannot use when commenting from an official account.
As a fellow graphic designer, what you know is useful and needed. It's just that convincing clients not only of that but that we deserve a livable wage for our skill is the hardest part on top of them respecting we're not jack of all trades.
Honestly courses/colleges need to focus on how to close with clients at the prices we need and contracts or have profs. use nepotism to get their students jobs 😫

I had to stop following a few UA-camrs that I used to respect and enjoy because they've started doing commentary on Demi Lovato and how "crazy" and "weird" they are now.
Demi Lovato has bipolar II and has become obsessed with extraterrestrials or aliens. It seems like it could be related to their bipolar because it's not uncommon for people in manic phases to have intense fantasies or delusions that they confuse with reality.
A lot of Demi's "fans" and people in the industry are encouraging this because it's entertaining to see a famous person talk about aliens.
And then UA-camrs make videos talking about how crazy Demi is, not from a "we need to help them" perspective but a "let's all laugh at them" perspective.
History is repeating itself, because this is what happens to us (people with mental health conditions). We are mocked.

I love the idea of universal accessibility. The internet is all about making more and more content, when we could be focusing on making quality content accessible for everyone (blind people, deaf people, people with photosensitivity, speakers of all languages, etc.)

I had a professor in college that dedicated his classes to showing us how many people were emailing him trying to hire him and showing us his portfolio. And then telling us we’re idiots if we don’t have our own blogs. Very Similar energy here. Except I paid $4000 for that class and it was mandatory for my degree. So.

I had a professor/instructor like that, but it was early in my degree at community college so I was able to withdraw and take the course with a different teacher another semester.

It's like she was going through a very public divorce a very public child custody case she was suffering from postpartum depression after having her kids and all the tabloids were saying she was a bad mom and that her kids should be taken away from her. And the people who should have been there for her during that time to be with her were scheming behind her back to put her in a conservatorship to control her and steal her money and take away all rights to her body which ended up being a 13-year conservatorship that was physically and emotionally abusive to her.
And on top of all that she had 100 paparazzi surrounding her every time she left her house and she even stated she didn't like staying in her house because she didn't want to be at home because her kids weren't there And he's talking about it like it's something to be proud of like it's an accomplishment.
