In high school I used to play a game with my friends called "useless superpowers" where you'd take turns coming up with superpowers that had some sort of limitation that made them way less cool. My favorite example: You can summon bears but can't control them. Anyway, I think "you have telekinesis but only on aluminum foil" would have been a strong entry for that game.
Honestly I need as many examples as I can get my hands on this sounds wonderful 💀✨ It reminds me of a game my friend and I came up with that has a similar concept; Minorly inconvenient curses, such as every 2nd time you leave the house, you get pooped on by a bird. It does not heavily affect your life, it’s just weird as hell and annoying.
@@kokorothealien6735 You are the smartest person on the planet but you are a penguin. You can fly but only 3 ft off the ground and while naked. You are average at everything with no prior training, but you can never get better at anything. Driving, martial arts, cooking, gymnastics, etc. You are always pretty decent at it.
I find it funny to think the woman is 100% sure that she’s teaching kids to see while blindfolded and every one of the kids believes the other kids are doing it, but they’ve just found an absolutely killer way to cheat the test.
LMAO I just commented that exact same thing except that I said that the kids believe all the other kids are actually psychic, so they’re just pretending that they are also psychic to fit in, but actually none of them are
They're either weighting towards positive results and weeding out the wrong answers by not showing them or simply telling the subjects the answers and it's completely fake. And non-disclosure agreements are standard with all reality shows. It's television. They wouldn't go into the project without ensuring the result. There is no network on the planet that would produce a show about the supernatural and risk nothing supernatural "occurring".
I used to take those classes and they thought I was so good at it, but in reality I found a way to peak under the blindfold the whole time. however, my sister got really good at it, not sure if she was cheating like me though
The "expose as much skin as possible while practicing mind-sight" seems like a cheat. Like, your skin is a sensory organ, it gathers information through touch. If you're blindfolded and naked, your skin can help you tell your surroundings by just slightly brushing against things.

Ding ding ding. I️ just recently watched a Ryan Beard video about Gaia. Unsurprisingly it’s pretty messed up. It promotes antisemitic conspiracy theories (the government is controlled by lizard peopl (aka the Jews), cabal, this guy who supports more antisemitic conspiracies) so I’m not that surprised they gave a blind woman false hope and did something that cruel
@FutaCatto Nah. Your morals include a sick sense of content from other people suffering and some sense of superiority over not using an app just because other people do. it seems to be more petty than anything else.
Oh my GOD. I nearly worked for a fencing academy affiliated with that Utah program. I got hired on as an admin assistant but before I could even fill out the paperwork on my first day, I was required to watch a video on the owners with this old man who founded this "science". It was incredibly culty and gave serious red flags. When the owners asked me what I thought, I gave my honest opinion that its not founded in science and in my quick google search (it was a 40 minute long video), I couldn't find any backing. They argued back that the scientific community could not replicate his findings because only the old man knew how to do it?? I walked out after that, I didn't want to be affiliated with whatever absurd teachings they were doing behind the scenes.
Saying only the old man could replicate the results actually disproves it. A scientifically proven hypothesis has to have reproducible results by other scientists, so they basically disproved any actual credibility they had when they made that claim.
@Mel Nova exactly. They gave the whole excuse of "oh, he's old. He doesn't know how to use technology to write things down" but... the scientific method existed way before computers???
no this is disrespectful and not funny. As a subscriber and someone who has the ability to use telekinesis in their day to day life, I can tell where he went wrong! If you take telekinesis seriously and actually made an attempt to try it instead of trying to get content then it would have worked. Danny mocked our community in this video which is why it won't work for him or you. His intentions were not pure. Our community is filled with kind, well intentioned beings and I am glad that none of you are not part of that! Un-Subscribing immediately
In a more recent video he used his psychic powers to play Minecraft without using his hands, and then tried to convince us all it wasn't him playing. No such luck, we can see right through you, Danny.
I remember a while ago I was reading a thread about a story of a guy who went to one of those psychic training schools to see if the kids are actually psychic and at first he was amazed that the children could tell what card he was holding while blindfolded but then he realized they masks were too high on their face so he adjusted it and the children suddenly lost their powers lol had a good laugh reading that

regarding the kids thing: if i went to psychic school and everyone else seemed to be able to see with a blindfold, and i felt like i was the only one who couldn't, and THEN i realized I could kinda peek under it? I would peek under it, and go on assuming i was just a bad student.
Yep, I just made a very similar comment. I'm guessing that every single student is afraid of being a 'failure' or an outcast because they think that all the other kids are actually able to do those things, so they end up pushing up that blindfold a tiny bit and cheating. They probably feel a lot of pressure to 'succeed' because all of the adults (including their own parents) are pushing this idea. But what they don't realize is that they AREN'T the only one who can't do it, and all the other kids are thinking and feeling the same way.
@@Crackpot_Astronaut yeah, exactly!! i read a post online a while ago about a teacher that had made an assignment that was destined to fail (the kids had to try to grow a seed and compare the process to their original hypothesis, but they were given seeds that wouldn't grow), but apparently the ENTIRE class assumed they'd been the only ones to mess up and got a different seed instead of admitting theirs hadn't grown. I'm not a psychologist but i feel like there's a lot to be said about that. Hi Danny, that "karate" school is actually a pencak silat school from Indonesia. It's called Merpati Putih (meaning white dove) which you can see on the logos in their gym and badges. I immediately recognized it because I used to train in that school in Indonesia lol. I'm actually surprised they have a branch in the USA, but I can confirm that the blindfolded stuff is something they make us do because spirituality is a huge component of pencak silat as a martial art. But usually, it's to train your focus, spatial awareness, and hearing. Merpati Putih primarily focuses on self-defense, not to arbitrarily become psychic 😂😂
damn, i'm Indonesian and I didn't even recognize it was pencak silat lmao, I feel kinda dumb now, although I never really joined any pencak silat clubs, and whenever I did, it was for 2 days of P.E classes, so uhh
I just love that Danny decided to tape two needles together instead of cutting the paper. That has to be the most Danny thing he ever did, it has a nostalgic, lifehack video vibe
omg I also didn't even think about cutting the paper, my first instinct was to cut the foam shorter leaving only a little tall piece in the middle where the needle stands. That way the corners of the paper would fall around the taller middle piece without touching the rest of the foam. what is wrong with me, why did I come up with the most complicated solution 😂
I thought psychokinesis was an independent thing to telekinesis. I thought the difference was telekinesis you gotta see the object, and psychokinesis you just had to picture it in your mind.
If I remember one person described it, telekinesis is you moving it with like, your life force basically (despite tele in the name) and psychokinesis is the actual ability to move objects with only your minds power. I could be wrong, been a while, but that's what I was told.
The ability to manipulate air is capled Aerokinesis, and anyone can do it. Now for hydrokinesis, you have to be IN the water, sadly. For Geokinesis, the power to move earth, you need a shovel. And finally, Pyrokinesis; just get a flamethrower. If you use all 4 of these together, you too can become... the Last Avatar
I was Soo dum thinking Im the main character and thought I could manipulate air , and the most embarrassing thing is I tested my "power* on there hand and they just went with it and said *WOAH INJUST FELT A STRONG GUST OF WIND ON MY HAND YOUR POWERS WORK!!"
I think the kids sort of know it's fake, but they don't say anything because they all think they figured out how to cheat while most others "genuinely" have the power.
@mekenna6214 Thanks lol🗿🌈 I'm just ready for one of these kids to be a Greg, see this video, & be old enough for the dots to connect that it's all just one giant scam because CAN YOU IMAGINE-
i remember when i first read matilda i REALLY wanted to be able to do telekinesis, so i read a wikihow article and tried really hard to move shit with my mind everywhere i went. since matilda never used her hands for it, i didn't either, so i probably just looked like i was kubrick-staring at random objects everywhere i went (and i did this in public too, at like restaurants and stores). of course it didn't work lmao
Most people attempt this, realize it doesn't work and then move on. And then there's people from Tik Tok who couldn't let go and decided to fake it for the feel good points.
when i was in like fifth grade (around 2014/2015) i found a few telekinesis tutorials on UA-cam and i was convinced it was completely real. i was able to knock over a piece of paper (it was really the air from my hand pushing forward lmao) and i was practicing it at school and the guy next to me figured out what i was doing so while i was doing it he blew on the paper and it flew across the table and i got so excited that my teacher took me out into the hallway and told me to stop because it wasnt real 😭😭
My favorite type of Danny's content is when he goes to great lengths to see if something he saw on the internet works, it never does but how can you not admire the dedication?
It's so funny to see this. There was a door in my house growing up that I knew for certain I could open with my mind. Turns out, it was just an old house and stepping on one of the support beams a certain way caused it to unlatch.
I had a similar thing with my house. A door in the basement would close on its own if left open. Tho I thought the basement was haunted and not that I had powers lol. The door closed cause it wasn’t levelled
it also turns out that its possible to hang a door wrong so that it will sometimes swing open and closed at random times. If its uneven, for example, and it doesn't latch properly, an almost imperceptible gust of wind can be enough for it to open all on its own. Once its done properly, it stops happening. Pressure differentials can also be enough to cause that. I remember countless times growing up when someone would open one door (even an internal one) and it would cause the garage door to slam shut. I think its easy for a lot of people to forget that we live in a medium: air. We aren't always aware of it, we can't always detect the miniscule ways it moves around us, but even in a seemingly still environment its still swirling and moving, we just can't detect it without tools.
Holy shit, the look Sean gives Rachel's foil at 12:56 is so hilarious. She moved her hands away from the jar and the foil still moves, and he looks like his sanity has just snapped. Man has been doing this for YEARS and this lady not only replicated his result but arguably did it BETTER on her first day! I'm surprised Rachel left that house alive.
16:30 What's especially sad about this, is that there is a way for ppl going blind to train themselves to use clicking to echo locate halfway decently, and while it's really hard, there are ppl who are blind who use it. She could be learning to do that instead, while training with a seeing eye dog and with a cane and properly preparing herself instead of messing with this hokum

@@bensanders5681typically things like this are all about selling kids an ‘ability’ they have, make them feel special and use that to sell something to them
These schools are/were pretty big in India, as a way to give your kid a leg up in their life. Something about developing unused parts of the brain. It's sad honestly.
The heat from your hands thing with the paper and needle that Danny was talking about is 100%. That same concept is why the smoke from a campfire really is following you. There are some great videos about that.
Its like that applied kinesiology trick where you push on an arm at a slight angle to push someone over, that they use for those balance bracelet type scams
When it comes to the video with Sean and Rachel plus the glove demonstration, Danny was onto it. Your hands create convection currents which takes the heat from your hands and disperses it under the object as it replaces cold air. This is almost like creating wind in a way but isn't quite the same. Googling convection currents then going to images will help understand. It's not Telekinesis, but instead science which is still cool.
@@Muongoing.97c I've always felt this way about folks who believe in supernatural explanations for amazing things. The supernatural reasoning really cheapens how amazing scientific understanding can truly be.
@James Pinkerton the allure is that it's not real. Deep down people know supernatural explanations aren't real. Real life is boring and confined, when something isn't real you can insert your own interpretations and thoughts.
As someone with a mild interest in psychology, these types of videos where people are instructing others on how to use "powers" or do otherwise extraordinary things are endlessly fascinating to me. Did the person making them really believe it was real? Do they know it's bogus and were just trying to look cool or interesting? Do the people commenting about how it worked truly believe they succeeded, or do they just not want to feel insecure for being unable to do something? Or is it all just some big joke and everyone is playing along? There are so many possibilities and whether it's unlocking your latent "psychic powers" or chanting spells at the moon to turn into a wolf I can never get enough. As long as people aren't getting themselves or others hurt by avoiding legitimate treatment for a serious health condition, anyway.
Yeah, it's been a thing I like to think about and pick at for years. I've seen it on other "transformation and magic" videos, and the people usually give long detailed explanations of what "happened." tbh, its probably because they're kids, I remember being attracted to that kind of content when i was younger.
I think it's really gross that this place does this with children. Children often crave approval from those around them, don't have a great understanding of the world yet and don't really have any control over what their parents are exposing them to, so preying on those vulnerabilities just feels especially insidious to me. Kids really only have what the adults around them are giving them to go off of, so it's entirely possible these kids truly believe they have these powers because that's what the adults are telling them. I mean it's either that or they're being pushed to lie. Neither scenario is great or strikes me as a particularly good environment for a kid to be learning from. Most of these types of places are also charging the families. Like even if the people going think it's real, the people running them are usually just scam artists. I can have sympathy for adults who earnestly believe they have supernatural powers (though sometimes it makes me very sad because it's clearly a person who should be receiving some kind of mental health treatment and isn't) and aren't hurting anyone with those beliefs. I even have a certain level of understanding for people who do things like séances if what they're doing ultimately ends up providing the people they work with comfort and closure. But I get upset when they start trying to take advantage of people (e.g., psychics who charge large amounts of money or people who claim they can heal) or involving children.
I think its a combination of all those options. There are probably some mentally ill people who genuinely believe it, those who just want to look cool and those that are just joking. Its fascinating from every perspective tho. Humans are fascinating lol
Big shoutout to Danny for opening my eyes to the incredible potential within me. Before watching, the idea of using my mind to move things seemed like pure fantasy. But through his guidance, I've unlocked a skill I never thought possible. This has been a life-changing experience, and I cannot express enough gratitude for the confidence and abilities I've gained. Same here, I begged my mom for one of those books on activating your psychic powers and was trying to move candle flames with my mind, so I definitely didn't need any encouragement 😅
here’s something: when i was a young teenager (and to be fair, had some issues with my mental health that hadn’t been addressed yet lol) i used to see videos like this about telekinesis on youtube and stuff and even though i started out skeptical i eventually began trying it out and i genuinely thought i was learning to do it and moving crystals i had bought with the power of my mind. in reality i was placing the crystal atop my other hand (as directed in the videos i’d watched) and definitely just unconsciously moving that hand ever so slightly, causing the crystal to move. however i TRULY believed at that young-ish age that i had mind powers and that full-blown telekinesis was something that i and everyone else could achieve if i just worked hard enough for it. i feel like some of the more extreme examples you showed here are just really taking advantage of gullible, vulnerable people. even though i think i was a smart kid, i wasn’t doing too well mentally and definitely could have been indoctrinated to believe of a lot of insane things at the time. it makes me sad to think of people looking for hope letting themselves believe things they know not to be true because it gives them something to work towards. i don’t blame that woman going blind one bit for wanting to believe in the impossible when faced with something so difficult and it’s fucked up someone is taking advantage of her like that.
I hope things are better for you now and I"m sorry that you were tricked like that. What you wrote here is really important. So many people think that they can't be taken in by stuff like this (or even worse things like cults) because they're too intelligent, but it's not at all down to intelligence whether you can be made to believe something untrue or absurd- it's all about vulnerability.
I remember when I was in year 4 I discovered Crystal children and a mixture of other insane things. I remember thinking all of it was real because there were so many websites and videos all explaining it, so I took everything as fact. I desperately wanted to believe I was one and excitedly told my mum ‘I think I’m a Crystal child’ and my mum was like ‘Don’t be silly hana, don’t bring up that rubbish’ and in my mind I was annoyed at her because she disappointed me but then I realised how stupid it was lol
It could've been worse, at 19 i told my friends I thought i had driven enough that i had built up the ability to do it with my eyes closed (i didn't try it after seeing their worried faces)
Fun fact: Psychokinesis is actually the proper term for being able to move something with the mind specifically, while telekinesis is a broad term for any ability to interact with things from a distance without physical means.
You got the two backwards. Telekinesis refers to movement, psychokinesis is the umbrella that that covers any mental influence. That's only in the field of parapsychology, though. Everyone else views them as the same thing.
@@stevendemayo3631 No the original poster is right though? Kinesis means movement in ancient Greek. Tele means (from) far away in ancient Greek. Psycho comes from the Greek word Psyche which means mind. So telekinesis refers to movement from a distance, and psychokinesis refers to movement using the mind. Most people use them interchangably though, but they were definitely right about the original meanings.
The school thing with blindfolded kids has been disproven through another experiment. I forgot what it’s called. But we learned about it in some psych class. And yes Danny was right. Most of the time the kids were just looking through the blindfolds or they had memorized the orders of cards, or obstacle courses. Originally the schools knew what day the observers were coming and controlled the order of the tests. But the researchers came back on another day unannounced and controlled the tests themselves and the kids all failed

I was actually one of those kids who trained with the blindfold! I had rapidly advancing myopia at the time and they basically sold my mom on the idea that it would restore my eyesight. I wasn't allowed to read at that age because my family thought it would make my vision even worse. Anyway, I would do puzzles blindfolded which was pretty fun, and I remember the feel of that weird stryfoamy thing around my eyes like it's yesterday. It was pretty disorienting but I quickly got to a point where I could just... go about my day through just what I saw in the slits, working with very limited field of view. That might actually be useful! Being able do discern what objects are with very limited information (like a slit of myopic vision) might mean less eye strain. Not sure tho. My eyesight hasn't gotten any better though!
The sad thing though is that there are actually places that will teach you skills that work even for fully blind people and can get you to a level that is pretty impressive. I mean look at me, I am fully blind, but I walked to work just fine today while crossing a couple of somewhat busy streets and now I am writing this comment to you with my phone using a screen reader. last weekend I booked A hotel with my girlfriend who is also blind, Got and paid for rides to the hotel, and stayed there with no one else. before that I cooked a couple of meals with no assistance, watched lots of UA-cam videos and got a couple things on Amazon and Walmart, Played some computer games etc. No it's not all sunshine and roses and some things really are essentially impossible or just much much harder without help from someone who can see, but many things can be worked around especially with the technology we have these days if you get the right kind of training. It's sad that so few people have access to that kind of training though, it is definitely a privilege and I realize that. still, blindness skills are helpful for anyone with vision loss because vision gets worse as you get older anyway, plus certain conditions are already degenerative. look up Colorado Center for the blind for an example of the kind of thing I mean if you are curious.
@@superfreq7378 yeah, people have this belief that blind people are helpless, but obviously you aren't. It's better to actually learn how to help those with little to no sight instead of trying to "cure" them with quack science.
There are some really interesting techniques people can learn to function with limited to no vision. Humans have an amazing ability to adapt and learn. But trying to convince people you can heal their lost vision when there's no actual way for medical science to do so, or convince them that they have psychic powers is really messed up (especially since most of these places are charging insane amounts of money). I think it's especially gross that this place does this with children. Children don't have a great understanding of the world yet and don't really have any control over what their parents are exposing them to, so preying on those vulnerabilities just feels especially insidious to me.
yeah, saying it’s psychic powers is bull, but I have terrible eyesight without my glasses and can still maneuver perfectly through my house without them. your other senses just adapt. the same happens to blind animals. it’s amazing how adept the body can be :)
@@bishielurfer that's the thing, humans are crazy adaptable, but it isn't psychic powers, it's just the ability of a human to adapt and overcome things and function just fine with no vision
25:44 It's also possible that the adults think it's real. The kids know that they can't actually do it, but the adults get really upset if they admit that, so they've just figured out how to fake it. Kids are smart, man.
@@cian729 you best not be american (or australian judging by the end of your comment) because that would make your comment even funnier in a not self aware way
We had a similar school in russia, even blindfolds they used I believe were the same. And one time a cool investigative journalist did a massive documentary debunking "supernatural" scam-artists on the main state TV-channel. He invited people from that school also. And my oh my was it embarrassing for them. Owners of the school proudly demonstrated their students "abilities" right until journalist killed the lights in studio. Suddenly their super vision disappeared. Owners throwed a massive tantrum and left. It was so funny I can't😂
I know I'm late to this, but I think it's the kids are doing something similar to "heaven tourism" (made popular by books like heaven is for real and others like it) where the kids are playing into it all because they like the attention, and makes them feel important, and importantly just telling the adults around them what they know they want to hear. A lot of the child authors of these books have come back as adults and explained that they were lying to get the attention from the adults around them. (I'm specifically citing Alex Malarkey's story for those interested)
I love how you said they had education documentaries “like the history channel” but with conspiracies instead when the history channel has become full of conspiracy theory “documentaries” too the last few years
The thing is, its absolutely possible to learn how to do basically anything blindfolded with enough trial and error. People speedrun entire games blindfolded effortlessly. The difference is they don't do it to scam people, and they definitely do not indoctrinate kids into their scams.
The thing is though, with that you’re completely reliant on senses other than sight. So unless you have different textured paper that you are holding in your hands to guess the color that way or something, you can never ‘see’ blindfolded no matter how much you practice
i like how danny engineered a whole needle contraption so it could have the paper on top of it without it touching the foam instead of just cutting the paper smaller
I like to think that the students think that the teachers genuinely believe these kids have powers and the kids just think they're completely grifting the teachers
My mother watches Gaia relentlessly and she's super into supernatural and spiritual and psychic conspiracy stuff and as soon as Danny mentioned that I was trying not to laugh- I'm glad I'm not the only one who realizes stuff like that isn't as educational as my mom thinks it is. She has tried to make me sit down with her on several occasions to watch Gaia's documentaries and sometimes there are somewhat insensitive claims they make (stuff like if your life isn't going the way you want or if you're being abused or smth it's your fault or you're just 'not positive enough' in one of their law of attraction documentary. it was not only problematic but annoying to watch because the whole documentary is just the same statement repeated/rephrased over and over again LMAO) and half the time i don't even bother sitting all the way through when she forces it. (my apologies for the run-on sentences I'm going off of pure memory rage lmao) Like believe what you feel like, but it was never really my thing- this video actually makes me feel so seen even though it's just a silly goofy little way to address media like this. Thanks Danny
Oh my god the folks who are like "everything bad in your life is your own fault" even without tying mystic woowoo stuff into it are THE WORST. "Oh you struggled financially because your husband died in a freak accident when your daughter was a baby? THAT'S YOUR FAULT FOR NOT BEING HAPPY ENOUGH." Those folks can fuck right off.
I mean there IS something to the idea that your life will be happier if you make an effort to be more positive, but there's obviously limits to it. Your day will go better if you don't let stepping in a puddle with socks on get you down, but if you're angry because you lost an arm due to someone else's negligence then the whole "just stop being upset about it" thing isn't going to help.
@@FrenkTheJoy Right I understand that. In the context of the one documentary I was forced to watch (about the Law of Attraction) they gave examples like how one of the "expert's" clients was gay and would be harrassed and assaulted constantly. The "expert" told him to "think more positively" and "focus on the good" because he "was trained on negative thoughts" and according to the "expert" the client suddenly faced no hardship afterwards. It's stuff where the issues are very real and complicated and usually people on those types of media documentaries just brush it off (and claim that if it doesn't work for you- you just aren't doing it right) that really just mess with me. Also, some of lighter ones examples are like "the reason you're getting bills for things is because you worry about them too much" and that you shouldn't ever worry about the hardships you face every day. I understand that some believers of Law are Attraction are not like this, it makes me upset when people use those ideologies to victim-blame constantly. It's pretty obvious that other work bu Gaia that Danny points out uses people that are willing to believe (or that already do believe) in more supernatural ideas and it sucks to see them lied to. Like the woman who's losing their eyesight in this video reminds me of the gay client in that LoA documentary in which both were told their issues could just be spiritually fixed if they just tried hard enough.
I feel like the mom of the 8 Passengers had to have seen that documentary. I am only curious to see to see their mindset of what they’re being fed. But yeah it’s baffling that they think because it’s shot with a HD camera that it has to be a legit documentary. Some of the stuff I’ve seen from Gaia is wild.
I live like 10 min south of Ogden, UT. One of my friends is really into all this stuff and when I was diagnosed with cancer about 8 months ago tried to get me into it to cure my cancer. It was stage 4 and a pretty poor outlook for survival. Well… months later after chemo and surgeries it looks like we beat the odds and rid my body of the cancer. Still have a LONG recovery, but things like this are dangerous. If I would have refused medical treatment and did some of this stuff I’d probably be dead or close to it right now.
Congrats on remission! I live in Ogden and this doesn’t surprise me. Although when “Ogden, UT” flashed across the screen I jumped for some reason because it was so bizarre to see my location jumpscare me. For the briefest of moments I thought Danny had somehow doxxed me in particular, lol.
When I was little (about 10-11 years old) I used to believe I could do telekinesis. I was a big fan of silver the hedgehog and always wanted to be like him, so I would follow several tutorials I found. Obviously I don't have psychic powers, but at the moment i thought it worked, and I was really scared.

They probably feel a lot of pressure to 'succeed' because all of the adults (including their own parents) are pushing this idea.
But what they don't realize is that they AREN'T the only one who can't do it, and all the other kids are thinking and feeling the same way.

I thought psychokinesis was an independent thing to telekinesis. I thought the difference was telekinesis you gotta see the object, and psychokinesis you just had to picture it in your mind.

The ability to manipulate air is capled Aerokinesis, and anyone can do it.
Now for hydrokinesis, you have to be IN the water, sadly.

It's so funny to see this. There was a door in my house growing up that I knew for certain I could open with my mind. Turns out, it was just an old house and stepping on one of the support beams a certain way caused it to unlatch.
Hey that's still cool nonetheless

I ain’t reading all that we up though 🗣🔥🗣🔥
I think its a combination of all those options. There are probably some mentally ill people who genuinely believe it, those who just want to look cool and those that are just joking. Its fascinating from every perspective tho. Humans are fascinating lol

when i was a young teenager (and to be fair, had some issues with my mental health that hadn’t been addressed yet lol) i used to see videos like this about telekinesis on youtube and stuff and even though i started out skeptical i eventually began trying it out and i genuinely thought i was learning to do it and moving crystals i had bought with the power of my mind. in reality i was placing the crystal atop my other hand (as directed in the videos i’d watched) and definitely just unconsciously moving that hand ever so slightly, causing the crystal to move. however i TRULY believed at that young-ish age that i had mind powers and that full-blown telekinesis was something that i and everyone else could achieve if i just worked hard enough for it.
i feel like some of the more extreme examples you showed here are just really taking advantage of gullible, vulnerable people. even though i think i was a smart kid, i wasn’t doing too well mentally and definitely could have been indoctrinated to believe of a lot of insane things at the time. it makes me sad to think of people looking for hope letting themselves believe things they know not to be true because it gives them something to work towards. i don’t blame that woman going blind one bit for wanting to believe in the impossible when faced with something so difficult and it’s fucked up someone is taking advantage of her like that.

Fun fact: Psychokinesis is actually the proper term for being able to move something with the mind specifically, while telekinesis is a broad term for any ability to interact with things from a distance without physical means.

What’s the name of the documentary?? 👀
i want to know too xD
And here I was watching it in Russia and thinking thank god we don’t have shit like this 😅
The documentary might be the series by Boris Sobolev!
@@tiffanyr9975 it's a 3 part series called Идущие к чёрту by Boris Sobolev
I know I'm late to this, but I think it's the kids are doing something similar to "heaven tourism" (made popular by books like heaven is for real and others like it) where the kids are playing into it all because they like the attention, and makes them feel important, and importantly just telling the adults around them what they know they want to hear. A lot of the child authors of these books have come back as adults and explained that they were lying to get the attention from the adults around them. (I'm specifically citing Alex Malarkey's story for those interested)
His name is literally “Malarkey”? That’s hilarious

But those have hundreds of hours of perfectly planned strategies and counting
Wouldn't called it effortlessly, it takes more effort that anything I did in my life.
@drayke8886 Getting to that point is what takes the effort, once you reach the point they've reached it's pure muscle memory
The thing is though, with that you’re completely reliant on senses other than sight. So unless you have different textured paper that you are holding in your hands to guess the color that way or something, you can never ‘see’ blindfolded no matter how much you practice
I love how she is telling people to not use telekinesis as an ego boost while also using her “telekinesis powers” as an ego boost on TikTok.
That’s HER ego boost, find another one!
“I would be the most pissed off and confused warlock the world has ever seen” Danny being honest for the rest of us
new dnd character (at least i might, my broken imagination sucks at dnd lol)
i like how danny engineered a whole needle contraption so it could have the paper on top of it without it touching the foam instead of just cutting the paper smaller
Like the woman who's losing their eyesight in this video reminds me of the gay client in that LoA documentary in which both were told their issues could just be spiritually fixed if they just tried hard enough.
gaia promotes some really fucked up and bigoted shit

Congrats on remission ❤
Scary thought but congratulations on your progress!

I was practicing with a piece of paper and, whether is was maybe a heavy breath or I flinched without realizing, it moved; and instead of being excited, I almost passed out. Obviously I don't have psychic powers, but at the moment i thought it worked, and I was really scared.
As a fellow sonic kid this is super validating to read.
Oh my god same when I was a kid I absolutely adored Silver but I was too scared of trying out tutorials because it would break the illusion if it didn't work! I feel you man
For me I've always been a Shadow fan so I just wanted a motorbike and a cockable SMG

A few months ago I thought I could channel air and „light energy“ between my hands and feel / manipulate it. Looking back at it now I‘m pretty sure I have some weird mental illness that made me go psychotic for a bit, but it did make me feel very special so 10/10.
Probably just an episode of psychosis! Sounds like it went away on its own though 😸 I had similar delusions, thought I could control smoke and fire, and contact with the ‘other side’. I thought I was like 11 from stranger things, thinking I had supernatural abilities. 😹

probably psychosis, episodes where you might hallucinate, this is not an illness but a symptom

I had a Batman gauntlet toy as a kid with a little IR remote built in, and there was a lamp in my bedroom that at one time must’ve come with a remote of its own, but one day, having never used a remote to control it, I discovered I could turn it on just by pointing my hand at it while wearing that gauntlet, and I’ve never felt more powerful
Where can I get one (asking for a friend)
@@malegria9641 apparently somewhere in Texas for local pickup only😭 I didn’t know it was so hard to come by until I searched several variations of “Batman gauntlet controller” and found nothing about it other than a Reddit post of someone looking for the same thing

If I had telekenisis I would spill peoples coffee all the time.
