    The reason this happens is aggressive riding, but that isn’t exactly what people think it is. Going top speed all the time is not considered aggressive because the battery is designed to output that amperage constantly and the motors are rated for it. The thing that kills motors is using the motors from a standstill and coming to a complete stop. It put a ton of torque and pressure on the internals. A quick kick or two and jumping off the board when you get down to 3ish mph makes life a lot easier for the motors. Hope this helps someone else

    That helped a lot. Thank you. I am encountering this currently. Should've could've would've but I experienced this within the 1st yr of my warranty but never sent it in. Now boosted is no more so I'm on my own when the shaft bends off the axle. Maybe I should consider my helmet every time going forward.

      Contact boosted usa they basically took all of boosted's inventory and have boards and parts. Ordered a motor from them when I had the same problem

    Carson... Probably good that you replaced the Allen Bolts with the new ones. I think I saw a touch of blue color on the end of the threads. If so, that is a loc-tite type material, that actually helps secure the bolt in place, to keep it from loosening. When you remove the old bolts, the amount of loc-tite required for this installation, is no longer there. Just FYI.

    Is there any was to replace that scratched up plastic around the motors? I see slot of ppl with that plastic always completely torn up and it looks like it will be a issue in the long run. My mini X comes on Tuesday and I just wanted to know

    That is great that they just sent it to you basically right then and there. Other companies should strive for this level of support. (**coughs** DJI) Great video!

      Rocco, I agree absolutely! DJI is for sure a tough one for support, and for being based in China, support times can be slow :/

    Did they finally fix the Faulty Batteries (Blinking light of death), I recently replaced 1 motor and then my battery died on Halloween. My battery had been replaced in the past and they said this time would be the last. (they found a solution?) My battery was being repaired for a whole month from early November to early December. Thankfully I'm still within my warranty because the invoice was $400 for a new battery.

    Disclaimer, he only got great support and free motors because is a youtuber.
    Boostedboards want good publicity and tend to baby youtubers.

    wow you needed to replace both motors? I just had to spend $100 on new motor since boosted is gone.. :( I compared the tension to the other motor was pretty tied but still could push it a little

    Did they try to send that to Iowa. How annoying. Kudos to the USPS

    • @carsonmtech
      @carsonmtech  4 роки тому

      Lol, yep! I put in the shipping address “IN” (short for Indiana) and they must have misread it as “IA” so the original address was originally Iowa in the confirmation email >:-|. That worried me, but I’m glad the address was corrected on the package to be Indiana so it made it to the right place :)!

      I would have to say my board is actually very clean - it’s just the wheels that aren’t and it’s quite difficult to keep those clean as that’s what actually keeps in contact with the road!
