I'm actually loving the comments declaring SPOILERS! Because there's a few factors here I find hilarious.
1: You are ignoring me saying the Comic Book multiple times.
2: If you are assuming the show is going to go back to the Comic storyline, why would you watch the video? Even if you scrolled through and got this, I don't start in on what people would consider Spoilers for like 30 seconds. Meaning you watched it, and just kept watching after I started explaining storylines.
Anyway, we'll be trying out Vol 1 to see if you guys want the comics, keep in mind, A LOT will be censored lmao

You waited 15 years from the comics release date and 3 years from the release of the show, to CONSIDER reading The Boys. Then complained because you watched a short that revealed one of the 9 plots in The Boys. Ya, I dont feel bad for you

In the comic it’s super interesting cause it plays with the idea of could homelander have been better? Black noir did a lot of stuff to push him towards found crazy cause his whole reason for existing was to kill homelander if he snapped
I do like the changes in the show though, I think they tell a different story. Superman was always the American image after ww2. But it's an empty image now, it doesn't feel right. Live action Homelander is america post 9/11:paranoid about power, terrified of anything that might be able to hurt him because it's never really happened. unquestionably stronger than anything else that could oppose him, but desperately obsessed with maintaining an image that's far from reality A clone sullies that analogy with something more of a character story imo. I love how the show uses homelander to hive as a hero personification of the America we grew up with. It's very chilling and relatable....

Man these videos are hard to watch after hearing the news. Benny was one of the first UA-camrs I watched and the one who got me into comics. I hope him and his family knows the number of lives he impacted and how grateful we are to have a kind soul like him. Rest easy Benny, we love you brother 🫡😔

That's why the comic were so good. I could ignore all the "excessive edge" (tho I think a lot of you are just exaggerating by a landslide)
Butcher's unapologetic, unredeemable self just drives everything and it's fun to watch. I don't want everything to have a corny revelation and kumbaya moment.

Homelander's upbringing sucks. At the facility he was being raised, a nuclear warhead was strapped nearby in case he were to go crazy. Does anyone know if comic Homelander was a good person before Noir did those things to Butcher's wife?
No, he was a piece of shit in every imagineable way.
Noir was more crazy in the psycho way, but homelander was still completely fucked in the head.
It’s been a couple of years since I read the comics but iirc there was one issue where it’s suggested that homelander seemed like he actually wanted to help people until the photos came out.
I mean the 9/11 botched rescue was horrid. He blew out the passengers eardrums from telling them to shut up and tore apart the plane trying. None of the 7 has any training. When they fucked up Homelander literally said "well fuck this we're done here".
Even though Noir did most of the absolutely next level morbid things, Homelander was still a MASSIVE piece of shit. He still did the thing he did to Starlight in the beginning, 9/11 still happened, he still kills a bunch of other people, he’s still very much an evil guy but the EXTREME morbid and inhumane acts that I shall not mention were done by Noir

Black Noir is a much better character in the show. His imaginary friends, his sometimes childish behavior and his mysterious nature makes him one of the best characters in the show.( and that's saying a lot). I wish we could get more of him.

It's weird how Homelander never used his xray vision to see that Black Noir is a clone under the mask.
Ye, they even mentioned in the show that he sometimes looks at noirs face
X-Ray vision isn't the same as seeing through clothes like you often see in Sci-Fi sitcoms. He would see bones.
@@masonpierce3086Not the case in the show, he looked through layers of wall and painting to see his female boss milking. She wasn't bone, so false.
@@ReinertZerker Exactly, he can only look through a primary layer, in this case being the first layer of the room, its why in all media involving X ray characters can look through walls, but also characters can look beyond the skin and even look into a human's internal processes and why Xray scans show skeletons. Im also assuming is works in terms of planes, hence why he can look through a flat wall but wouldnt be to do like the infamous advice of imagining someone in their underwear. If Black Noir's head is spherical, he couldnt just look through the mask because the head wraps across several planes, whereas theres probably a plane within the body, where the full skeleton is visible from the front as our arms, feet, and chin are in line with our torso.
think noir’s suit is made of zinc in the comics so he cant see through it

I'm glad it's different in the show, I don't really like this plot. From what we can tell so far black noir is actually a different character unless the original was killed and replaced with a homelands clone.
In the show Homelander admits to raping butchers wife so I think the show definitely won’t take this route.
Highly unlikely, they have to bend over backwards to the leftist plans. He has to be black and probably will come out as gay. Therefore Homelander will be destroyed by the new and all powderful black noir. 🤣

There's the flashback where his mask is off and he talks....plus he's black. His face ends up getting fucked up in the attack... fast forward to May lifting his mask a tiny bit when she went to put the nut in his mouth and you can still see the scars from the attack that happened in the flashback

I always thought that the clone angle was a last minute asspull by Garth Ennis. If you read the earlier issues of the comics you can see that Black Noir is drawn with a much slimmer body and at least a few inches shorter than Homelander. I doubt he was meant to be anything more than a one-note joke character with a mental disability (Ennis writes these a LOT) until the very end when he decided to wrap up the series.
Yeah I think you're right on. He's a bloody brilliant writer when he comits, the entirety of his run on Punisher MAX is one of the best-written comic book series ever made, but stuff like the Boys and Crossed is much more of a hit-or-miss
