While the shred lights are priced better the beams have way more features that I find make them worth the extra money. (Note I owned both of them) Not having to bend down, pick up the board and turn off/on each light individually is a huge plus especially during the winter while wearing gloves. Also charging each individual light is a pain in the ass, while with the beams all I have to do is just charge my board.
I prefer the Beams. I have the SL200s and both the rears fell off on sidewalks at 16MPH. That rubber casing isn't going to withstand major vibrations in the cracks that's naturally in sidewalks. F.I.Y, Use black mini zip ties around them. they prevent stress on the rubber casing, and it's not really noticeable. :D

I have a question about the boosted mini x. So recently my friend got a mini x and I’m going to get one. And over summer we are going to fly on a plane so will the battery the mini x comes with be able to go on the plane?
no you are not allowed to travel with the xr battery via plane. although you can buy an sr battery and take that with you on the plane, just dont forget to remove it from the board. do some research 8)
Some feedback: You guys are obviously biased in your opinion of Shredlights given your affiliation with their discount program. Also you say "1000 Mega amps per hour" when refering to the shred light battery. It's "1000 milliamp hours" with correct units. It seems like you guys are glossing over the convenience of the beams vs the Shredlights as well. Obviously biased

I find it hard wanting the beams now, if they break...its done forever. Meanwhile the shred lights have warranty and are replaceable
