I had the amazing opportunity to tour La Marzocco in Florence this month and yeah its totally worth the 6k. Someone told me that the techniques they use to create the metalwork were lost to time and the fabricators had to ask retired workers from the motorcycle industry to teach them so they can record the information for preservation purposes. They really care about coffee.
Does this machine produce better coffee than a normal consumer grade machine? I'm sure the user experience is on another level. But let's say you get a delonghi Dedica against this and put them side by side; Get the same beans and do the same puck prep, will the La Marzoco produce a better-tasting cup? Im sure you get the premium you pay for cuz these things are basically tanks but lots of alternatives with more features at a lower pricepoint. Im guessing you pay for build, design, and commercial power. Its a shame it has no pressure profiling and direct temp adjustment ( you need an app for that and wifi so no wifi no temp adjustment). For the price you pay better off buying e61 machines with pressure profiling or a premium lever machine

I want just that portafilter thing. My machine and my espresso making would appall all the perfectionists but I’m fine with what comes out of my machine. I want my caffeine pronto! I grind my beans with a Breville and the beans sit in hopper for a bit. One bag lasts me two weeks. I get crema from my setup. I tamp the grind with a metal tamper that took me a while to find the right size. 😮😮😮😅😅😅😊😊😊

Never is this thing ready after 5 minutes. Nothing is heated up in that time. Maybe it produces steam but the components are not hot. This matches with what reviews say already. The plastic also does not hold heat as well, so that is also a disadvantage ..
Nothing like this is worth even half of what it is supposed to cost. For that same price you can buy an international round trip flight for two people.

i think that the linea mini is the top of the line and costs around 6.000 dollar. Not the Micra. Micra is about 1.500 less. Smaler brother of the Mini which is the top home / semi pro product. Newest version is Linea Mini R. Even more expensive a few hundred bucks.

Almost always the difference is in consistency. You _can_ get the same tasting cup from the delonghi but how often will you be able to match it varies

I can tell you that for home use, you hit the ceiling at 2k. Nothing over that is worth it. For professional use, yes, prices go up.

it's definitely not, it just has the massive brand recognition that a lot of people want. The Lelit is a savage and so is the profitec.
In terms of energy consumption, heat up time and thermal stability it is much better.
