one thing I dislike about taste test videos is when they cram 47 items into 7 min of vide (*cough cough, buzzfeed). It feels rushed and jarring and I end up not retaining anything they said. Ask me 7 min later what they liked and i wont know. I like the longer format of ETM because it feels more genuine and relaxed. I use ETM as background noise and it's kind of like a comfort show at this point. *especially* with places like Applebee's that have a mile-long menu, I wouldnt enjoy the series at all if they were cramming it into 10 min.

For his safety and mental health, if Keith does decide to take on Cheesecake Factory for ETM at some point, he should split it into 2 parts. Part 1 is the main menu, part 2 for dessert menu
I would say 3 parts 1. Appetizers, small plates, soups & salad 2. Entrees 3. Desserts

Keith progressively getting more and more crazy is like watching that friend in college you knew who pulled too many all nighters officially starting to lose it. You see the train heading off the rails, but don't know what to do to stop it. Also there really needs to be a term for whatever he goes through because "meat sweats" does not encompass whatever weird shit starts happening as he eats more. It's like the meats sweats, a sugar high, dehydration, sleep depravation, and post Thanksgiving meal exhaustion all rolled into one.

Tbh, as a picky eater, these types of videos are really helpful in a way? Cause I want to branch out and try new things but I never know what would be good and just getting to see the menu and have someone give their take on the food is extremely helpful to someone who wants to branch out into different things at fast food places. Or even to try at home! I love all the try guys videos, but these just got a special kinda thing going to them for me lol. (Also, Keith’s comment about the cheese curds and Wisconsin gas stations? Absolutely true. They’re everywhere.)
YES! same! I really stick to the same two or three things but it's nice to know what to expect if I decide to get something different, and this is such an entertaining way to get that insight!
One of the items Keith liked at Panda Express is my new favorite from there. I like the recommendations, even though I don't always agree with the stuff he doesn't like. Also, yes, a lot of gas stations in Wisconsin sell fresh cheese curds, especially near the border.

You would love good mythical morning they taste all kinds of things and Link is also a picky eater. They even just came out with a website that has the list of everything they've eaten and how they liked it.

Applebees employee here. That chicken is actually one of the few items that was never microwaved. It started as a raw chicken breast that was cooked on the grill in the restaurant giving it grill marks.
Do you guys defrost it naturally by leaving it in the fridge overnight, or do you guys take a shortcut like running it under hot water?

Interesting. So they they do take their time to defrost the meat. I was curious because it is a long process if you don't take short cuts like using hot water. Hot water turns it from a 6 hour process to a 30 minute process.

No shortcuts for defrosting. Everything is planned ahead of time. We know what to prep the day before, so we start defrosting early.

The ball is in her court when it comes to whether she wants to sue the company for wrongful termination, tell the court that Ned coerced her into the relationship considering the fact he was her superior. (Even though Ned stated the relationship was consensual and we also know it has been going on for a year.
Also Keith- they do actually grill the chicken in the kitchen (and steaks and all too); however, the “steamed vegetables” are just microwaved in a plastic bag aaaand a handful of other things are microwaved too lmao

Legitimately, if Lactaid come around with the long overdue sponsorship, Keith should take on the Cheesecake Factory for an ETM. I’d also love to see a California Pizza Kitchen edition. As an Aussie, I fell hard for their raspberry lemonade and their Mac and cheese - it was so dang good! We don’t have the right cheese down here to try to replicate it properly.
I don't know if y'all have velveeta in Australia, but i made a mac and cheese with velveeta, heavy whipping cream, and a little bit of butter (I can't remember the ratios, but I remember 30ml butter lol) and then some salt and pepper to taste and it was a decent copy-cat recipe

After the 30 minute mark... It's visibly apparent Keith's body is moving all his energy to metabolize all the food he's consuming. By the 45 minute he is fully lethargic probably because he's eating 38 pounds of Applebee's at this point.

When I was about 5 years old, i went to my best friend's house for a sleepover, and her mother had made deviled eggs which i was OBSESSED with. Her mother told me I could have as many as I wanted because she assumed I'd eat like 3 and be done if i wanted a lot of them. They were for some work party she had the next day. In the middle of the night, like after the national anthem played on the TV and it went to static, I went into the kitchen and ate all 4 dozen deviled eggs and an entire block of cheese, then went to bed. Her mother was VERY concerned the next day 🤣
My friend went to a buffet breakfast with her family. It was her son’s first buffet experience. He was (I think) 8 years old at the time. He took the ENTIRE platter of bacon back to their table. He said he left a few slices on the buffet for others. 😂

@@metronome5141 yeah. But (a) she wasn't the one who was the boss, and (b) she still wasn't technically married yet (not that it excuses cheating, but it's worse to do it after you've made that ultimate commitment), and (c) there were KIDS to consider.
Now Ariel is going to be stuck with someone she'll never trust again because she's going to stay with Ned for the kids. They always do. Even though the marriage itself is already ruined.

Applebees saved my pet’s lives.
Last summer I was moving from NJ to VA, when the truck broke down. Me, my boyfriend, and our friend were stranded in a parking lot with my chinchilla and cat. It was well over 90 degrees and temperatures over 75 can be fatal to chinchillas.
We went into hotels, motels, other establishments I won’t name. We explained to them it was literally a life or death situation and we just needed to sit in a lobby/entrance for a little while till help arrived. We were turned away. My friend walked into Applebee’s, asked if they would let us in, and they said yes!
So we wound up hanging out in the Applebee’s, we were quite a spectacle. I was hugging two pet carriers and sobbing and offering the employees whatever cash I had on me. We wound up eating lunch there and they brought out plain salmon for my cat and water for her. It restored a bit of my faith in humanity.
Even though the food is fucking disgusting and it somehow tastes like too much and not enough at the same time, I am an Applebee’s fan for life.
I will no longer fight my unhinged friends (as hard) when they suggest we go to Applebee’s.

Tbf i dont like her for different reasons than i dont like ned. Ned put his friends careers on the line by dating an employee, he opened them up to all kinds of lawsuits and endangered the try guys income because he wanted to get with her PLUS the moral issues of cheating in general. I dont like alex solely because she cheated in her relationship with a married man. I dont like either of them but the internet is deffo harsher to women, weve just gotta remember not to talk about what they did interchangeably because ned was objectively worse in terms of endangering the company
