my tried and true packing tips, including advice from my mom!
start with the right luggage. a 360 spinner is a must
use smaller bags to separate clothes e.g. 1 bag for activewear another for swimwear
1-2-3-4-5-6 rule
1 hat
2 pairs of shoes
3 pairs of pants or skirts
4 shirts
5 pairs of socks
6 sets of underwear
take your suitcase for a test spin. if you can easily lift and lug up and down stairs you are good to go. - Навчання та стиль
Boy, your “travel-sized” toiletries are enormous! You can save so much room and weight by decanting liquids into small plastic bottles and jars. I use white electrical tape and a Sharpie to mark what the contents are, and then use another piece of tape to securely seal the bottle to prevent leaks. Check out the toiletry section at a larger Target store for small deodorants (half the size of what you show), tiny tubes of toothpaste and GoToobs, which are excellent leak-proof plastic travel toiletry containers.
BRILLIANT idea with folding the blazer, never have seen it!!!
I am really surprise that Beth doesn t pack with packing cubes. For me, they are the best tool for travellng
I loooove packing cubes! They are the best travel tools ever! I have them in several different sizes and they work so well!
I thought I knew it all regarding travel prep, but you actually taught me a number of cool tricks! Who knew? You are truly a wealth of knowledge. Thank you

I love your pink v necked cashmere sweater
About the tote you carry on the plane, do you make sure it has a zipper so things don't fall out when you put it under the seat? OR do you put it overhead while flying?
Just found your channel. Smart mom - that’s the way I’ve packed my suitcases for years with rarely any wrinkles plus I can pack more in a smaller case. I place my folded shirts and underwear in the middle and fold the pants or long items over them. This method has worked better for me than using packing cubes. It came in handy when packing for trips that were two weeks or longer. TFS.
Half our toiletry bags could be ditched. Hotels have many of these items. Eg. sewing kit.
Safe travels to you, Beth. This "Maine-ah" welcomes you to New England!!! Looking forward to more and more of your videos.

Great tips. Will you share the size and brand of your suitcase? Is it better to buy separately or as a set? I am in need of new one. Thanks for sharing!

Faith Smallwood hi faith! You are so right about aging- nothing to fear as life continues to be interesting! Xo
How come you didn't put your shoes in a bag to protect the clothes from getting dirty, especially the white pants?
Eleanor garlit I pack the shoes with soles facing the suitcase. It takes up less space and doesn’t damage clothes.
Good grief! I always pack my shoes in those ziplock freezer bags. The idea of filthy bottom of shoe germs near my clothes is unthinkable! Eeeuuuwww.
What do you use the baby oil for?
Shannon Engelken I remove my eye makeup with baby oil.
