    Those pins on the clipped area should just pop out with little to no pressure, then the clipped link should just come off the chain.... Get the chain to required length and then it should just slip back together easily and pop the clip back on. Thanks for another interesting video....... :)

    19:48 No stop! That clip locks the master link. Just push the pins through with your thumb and remove the master.
    The tool is for breaking the permanent links to shorten the chain. The black screw threads in and out of the gold screw. Retract the black bolt so the gold bolt can clamp the chain then tighten the black bolt to push the pin.

      Thank you for the note. This is the first chain driven vehicle I have ever built. On this chain those pins did not just push through. I had to use the tool to open up the chain. Towards the end of the video you can see I got it all to work correctly.
