There's nowhere else on earth that you'd expect to buy a product that's broken only for it to gradually get better to the state it was supposed to be in when you bought it. Perhaps they've learned now after the blow the games dealt to their reputation.
Absolutely. It's why I gawk at people who fap off about supersampling or a bajillion times antialiasing filters. These things add a few % to graphical fidelity, if that. Lighting 90%+ of photorealism.

Its not all games that are trash just most of the new ones coming out because they put more development into the ingame marketplace leaving the rest of the game unfinished and shitty just to appease investors. Most big game devs dont care about the player experience and instead care about the investor experience and ROI. The title triple 'A for a game literally stands for how good the ROI will be. @blakepuntervold3165 playing dmc1 for the first time rn and for a second I thought "damn this game looks amazing" listening to the wind and looking at the castle and ocean. It felt weird to have that thought about a game years older than me
Eh in my personal opinion, too much focus goes into it nowadays and gameplay or story is left very dry in alot of games. Just my take tho
@MrHuds I actually agree. A good example imo is ghostwire tokyo. That game looks really cool but I'd honestly pretty mediocre
Me: Wow! That looks amazing! I want to try it.
My PC: No.
Cyberpunk is one of the few games where I felt like I was in that world. Not many games can accomplish that feeling.
same here. i played when it was just released for hours. no other game other than witcher3 made me feel like this, im 29 yo and play video game since i was born
Truly. Last time I played it was during winter break, so I would just stay up until the early morning 100% it. I’m not sure I’ve ever been quite as immersed in a world besides maybe red dead 2(though that’s way more realistic so it’s easier to make it immersive). To this day it still hurts to see cyberpunk getting shit on by people who no doubt haven’t played it since launch
@@Molecularbiologisttr same,is say a few games I really felt apart of might be mass effect series, skyrim, Witcher 3, but that's about it
try subnautica

It looks cool but i bet that dynamic depth of field changing would get old very quick. Im sure it helps the FPS since you can blur the background when jts not needed but still looks a bit off. That said im clearly splitting hairs, this looks amazing

@@chanahasnomanaclearly you do care about the executives and only the executives. Who the hell do you think is making all the money? You purchased a terrible game and now you think you’re high and mighty? What?
All you did was put money in those executives pockets. They are not a small indi studio. You seriously can’t be this much of an idiot. I really do commend cd projekt red for continuing on with the game to make it good, I might even go out and buy it now. However they kinda had to stick with it in order to save face and save the reputation of their company after the disaster of a release. You cannot defend the state of the product at launch. There's nowhere else on earth that you'd expect to buy a product that's broken only for it to gradually get better to the state it was supposed to be in when you bought it. Perhaps they've learned now after the blow the games dealt to their reputation.

Most people need to understand that lighting is the single most thing that makes things realistic not more and more polygons
Absolutely. It's why I gawk at people who fap off about supersampling or a bajillion times antialiasing filters. These things add a few % to graphical fidelity, if that. Lighting 90%+ of photorealism.
You can always tell the difference between computer graphics and IRL, real life looks a lot more like shit with dark ass lights or BLINDING BRIGHT SUN

I mean, the game is from 2020. Right now, there are not many games coming out that are received well. I don't think games are dead. I think the gaming world is shifting right now in what is important to people. Indie games are more popular than ever before.
Maybe it does take 10 years to develop a game and then another 4 years to polish it properly... at this standard
Bro must be running this on a nuclear powered quantum super computer.
In the not too distant future we will look back at photo realistic graphics the same way we look at 8-bit graphics
I have to disagree. I think we are starting to platou a little bit. for example look at the ps2 vs ps3, big difference, ps3 vs ps4, quite a difference but not as big, ps4 to ps5, difference is getting smaller. Obviously graphics will always improve over time but i dont think we will ever look back at games from nowadays like we do 8-bit graphics

Cyberpunk is not just graphics, its one of the best games out there, with one of the best expansions ever made. Phantom Liberty.
Cyberpunk was immediately better than most games released in the past 5 year solely because they're not hiding 70% of the content behind a paywall
Yeah what's powering this
The cyberpunk game is actually a really good game on its own
"People say video games are dead, I understand that this is just graphics"
Yeah graphics don't make a game good. If that was the case we'd have a lot more fun games to play
Even if they did, the barrier to entry for this is so far past the average person lol
Anyone who honestly believes video games are Dead must be a console gamer that only pays attention to AAA releases

@@FlaccidFella first off Helldivers deserves some respect, but if you seriously think Elden Ring and Prey are the only good games in the last DECADE tells me you're only paying attention to triple A games and ignoring the gold that's been pouring out of indie devs in that same time frame.
