And for anyone interested in *repairing* their ESC's (or replacing individual MOSFETS)..this is an excellent video; ua-cam.com/video/S4IxSPASWbM/v-deo.html
Just a little advice from someone thats been building Fpv drones for over three years. No matter how comfortable you are with your soldering skills? (Especially if your using a hot soldering iron) Always take the time to maybe use some black tape or a thick sticky material to put over the rest of the FC or esc that your soldering on at the time. All it takes is a very small fraction of a drop of solder to drop down into somewhere to bridge something or burn something out. And trust me sometimes you cant even see it under a loop or microscope? It will literally look like its in mint shape! Just a little advice from someone thats been there multiple times! Lol. Good info keep it coming!😀
Man I couldn’t have found this video sooner thank you !!!!!. I’m so happy I’m not the only one this happened to. Apparently I crashed and thought the drone was disarmed and ended up burning out an esc presumably. I’m experiencing everything u did esc looked fine but that one rear motor refused to spin. Eventually I got fed up of trying to diagnose the issue and just order a new esc hopefully thats was the problem 😅
This exact thing just happened to me I checked BL Heli and it showed all ESC‘s OK then I checked the motor again and did what you said. I actually use the multimeter and put the ground on the ground lead and put the other positive probe on the motor pads andTwo of the three motor pads beeped while checking for continuity what could that be a bad ESC I would think?
my motors are going crazy ( im new to fpv so im still learning but) the motors will accelerate and decelerate individually and it justs nuts and i dint know what to do whis has happend to me on my other drone as well and i dont know what the problem is
Had the same issues as showed. Changed ESC still had a problem other props were spinning ok then I notice that the new ESC have different version newer than those which was running so I updated them all to the latest ESC and all motors stopped working but Im getting normal sound from the drone with 4 beeps and later 2 longer ones. Soldering is good as I did it few times with different ESC and I'm getting now all 4 props Twitching any help?
@@philippmeurer7290 It was Beta Flight fault as I remember. Newest Version of the FC just killed the motors when downgraded version worked fine and I kept using it till sold the drone. Now I'm using stack's just less hustle then individual ESC'S
I have a question.. when you turn the props it has that small pull back as you spin the props on the motor when its off and 1 of the 3 on mine don't have any pull back its just lose and spins easy. Is that motor dieing?
Hard to say from the description your giving. It could be...I would take off the props and spin up each motor individually in BetaFlight and see how it looks and sounds.
@@RGMGFitness i have a dji mini 2 when i spin them with my finger all 3 but 1 would spin a little then do that stopping thing and one is loose and don't have that stopping feeling.
@@BennyEpstein4 Because I don't own the DJI Mini 2 I'm not quite sure if that's normal or not. But doubt it is. I assumed you were talking FPV quads (only because this video was FPV). Great tip..thank you!
This is great. I just smoked two motors on a maiden flight by landing on a blanket. Newbie here. Hoping it’s just the motors.

I have a arrma voltage and i have steering but the motor is good and i hooked it back up and its the 2 in 1 esc
This is why i use race wire on every build!
Nice Video!

If there all the exact same motor types they should look and feel identical.
