Your charge bar should lock to the left after dropping shot in the last shell. If you lean it over before seating the wad and dropping the shot, you will not have any shot in the last shell. When you first start loading your charge bar should be locked to the left. When you set the primer, the charge bar unlocks and drops the powder.
These were two very informative videos. I load with a Mec 600 Jr and was looking at the progressive loaders so this is exactly what I needed to see. It was very clear with excellant operating instruction by example. You comments were to the point and covered everything one should know to operate the 9000. Thanks
Thank you very much for your two videos. They are concise to te point and show that you know what you are talking about. As a presonal advise would recommend you to place the camera on a tripodwhile operating the machine and on your hand when you want to point out a relevant step. You can also ask for a friend o hold the camera. Tanks a lot.
Great videos! Best I've seen so far. I think I may have to get into shotgun reloading? How much does a machine like this cost? How much would a new guy expect to pay initially for everything to get started? Is reloading shotgun ammo cheaper and more cost effective than reloading handgun ammo? Thanks. I subbed.
@knsmaximo I too have a 600 jr, the two stage crimp station is supposed to me better. What does yours do that you dont care for? I have had nothing but good things with mine. I shoot about a case a week so I am upgrading to a 650 progressive because my friend rebuilds MEC reloaders. I can get one for 130 dollars and a trade
You're very welcome. I appreciate your comment and advice. With a shortage of reloading tutorials and an increase in shooters who reload, I create my videos to help aid and educate beginners and to try to simplify and break-down the somewhat complex steps to a MEC 9000G progressive reloader. Please feel free to leave any suggestions for future videos.
Dear lipitation, No, I have never had any double loads or anything similar. The 9000G a very reliable loader and that keeps errors to a very minimum, especially when loading mass quantities of shells. Any experienced reloader can load on this loader without any problem. Any questions? Leave them as a comment to the video or a comment to my profile and I will return them as soon as possible.
I wanna learn how to reload shotgun shells but there is just so much for someone just starting. Primer types, powder brands, wads, differnt sizes of brass, differnt types of colars brass steel exc, proper amount of powder to use. Where should a first time reloader start.
Hey, take it easy on the kid, he probably had his butt whipped for using the ol'mans reloader without his knowledge, shesh, he didn't even know what kind of wad he was using.
Dont fuck with your reloader if you wouldnt of removed the bar lock you would not have to mess around with dumping shot or powder. Learn how to adjust the machine not tamper with the machine. Then make a video showing people how to really load and unload there mec 9000g ,or tell why your mec functions incorrectly.

how do i adjust when my charge bar moves. it was working fine and then just stopped and stayed left. do i have to adjust the reprime tube?
Does it matter what type of powder or primer you use?
@jake66000
Yes, some powders are very fast-burning and others are slower-burning. I suggest using Red Dot or something similar.
thanks i am new to reloading
