Life insurance. Exwife. I’m glad I’m watching this on JJ and not Forensic Files.
Excellent response!! 🏆
So true
Right. On dateline, they just do away with the spouse and try to collect insurance
Love this comment.
Or any crime show on the Investigation Discovery channel
Why would you let your ex have a life insurance on you? It's just begging for some "mysterious" accident to happen.
OH THANK GOD IM GAY!
No one plans on having an "ex" unless they're batsh*t but if they're paying into it while they're married then that's one thing. My question is why would you EVER have someone pay into your OWN life insurance?
@@atlantaga55what difference does being gay make to OP’s comment?
@@thespear4083 Nothing, he's a weird misogynist if you look at his comment history lol he's lost it
@@atlantaga55 I have a feeling you’re straighter than a light pole
Love how JJ doesn’t discriminate. Old, young, “black and white and everything in between”. 😂
She sets everyone straight, and let them know how to act and stand in her courtroom. 👏
In her own words, Judge Judy is "an ecumenical abuser" 😂🤣🤞
If we were all like that, treating everyone the same, not looking at the color of the skin, this would be a better world.
@@ishahcanah7351If more people disregarded the color of their own skin the world would be a better place.
As she should! That’s the way it should be with everyone for every thing
@@ishahcanah7351
I have come to the conclusion that if everyone were blind, deaf and poor, Earth would be the greatest place to live because we would ALL finally be equal, and we would ALL be kind to everyone around us.
I love how she instantly tells people to uncross their arms.
And I love how she said it calmly in this instance.
I know.
I got scared and stood up straight..
No slouching
I got goosebumps and thought my grandmother came back to haunt me. she was a strict stickler for proper manners.....but I miss her so much.
I don't think it's her place. People aren't children. They can stand however they want as far as I care.
@@virginiatrailcameravideos Yeah, but it’s basic courtroom etiquette to show that she’s the authority in the courtroom and so as to not allow the parties to intimidate one another with their body language.
I don't get why she's suing. She washed her hands of the policy and the costs to pay the premiums.
She could have sold it, her loss ! Too bad too sad 😢
What do you mean why wouldn't she be entitled to it she paid half the premium on it for 11 years and then the full premium on it for 3 years. And not use it for what it's worth and just keep the money it's only right that she gets half of that money.
@@billmoran3219no she couldn't. You can only sell a policy to a third party if you are😅 the one insured. He's the one insured only he could sell it. She paid half for 11 years and then paid it fully on her own for 3 years the same exact amount that he did. It's only right if he sells it to give her half. without her contribution it wouldn't even exist. in fact she could have just lapsed it completely and not even told him or given him the opportunity to switch it to his name since she was the only obligor at the time. She was kind enough to just transfer it to him so he didn't lose everything that THEY put into it. he could have been nice enough to give her at least something out of it when he decided to sell it instead of use it for its purpose. selfish prick
@@dawnwr30 She was willing to let it lapse and get nothing. That's why. She should have sold it herself.
Gold digger
He's probably smart to cash it out, just to make sure that she doesn't manufacture a reason to get paid out by it.😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉
What does that mean? Sorry stupid question
Beautiful black woman behind the plaintiff with the necklace!
Most definitely
The blouse is lovely too 🥰
-which one ? xD ... !-
-more than one ...-
She “heard” your comment, hence her smiling.
Sparkly gold necklace!
EXACTLY! this is why you don't divorce. You take your spouse on a hiking trip up the Grand Canyon and hope for the best. Don't forget to bring your camera. If you have a new love interest, well then maybe this person can help insure that you have a successful vacation.
😂😂😂😂😂 ya’ll please get out the comments
😂😂😂😜
Did u hear this clown. It must be a man. Bcuz women are usually the ones that come up missing
So like yeah but this totally proved pre meditation 😅
Whoa!! Who are you??!??
To put a life insurance policy on an ex is a recipe for murder, in my opinion. I know a person who got divorced and the judge gave the life insurance policy to the ex in the judgment. One of the most f”ed up things I have ever heard a judge do 😒
Your friend is probably a piece of crap so I do not blame the judge for giving it to her ex, I hope the ex is rolling naked in bed with the cash
500k for her, 500k to split between 6 people. She's insane.
She may have a legal contract.
But if it were me I would pocket 200,000 and throw the rest back in for the kids.... IF THEY DESERVE IT.
He's lucky to be away from that lady.
She looks rough. Not in a good way. 😂😂
Said the same right at her first response lol sounds mean. lol 😆
There is a good way to " look rough"?

The plaintiff is starting to get on my nerves. Now I know why he obviously bailed on her. I would too
I wouldn’t remember divorce dates either; Good riddance 😂
I was so happy to unload my ex, I will always remember the divorce date, May 12, 1997. 🎉

Wow. Every morning when I wake up, I thank God that I’m still here, and then I thank God for giving me this beautiful woman lying next to me in bed, in the same place that she’s been waking up for the past 45 years.
I’ve obviously never been divorced, but I can’t imagine disliking my life partner so much as to make either of these two comments. I’m sorry you had a bad marriage, and I’m sorry that you still harbor so much dislike for your ex. Carrying that heavy baggage around for so long will take its toll on you, just as an ox that is forced to carry more than it’s capable of for decades - the beast reaches an early grave.
A lot going on here lol i have to rewatch
Really brings to light the phrase over my dead body.
"Uncross"....."Uncross"... I love the way she said that 😏
It took him a couple of clicks to process, though😉
Ms. Smiley is here again? 🤦🏾♂️😂😂😂
😂😂
Wow I didn't know you could sell a life Insurance policy
I did. I saw a true crime show set in Texas where this daughter and her husband got her mother to agree to let them take out a huge policy on her then sold it to these gypsy people who they lied and told she had terminal cancer. Gypsies got tired of waiting for old lady to die after a year. They pretended to be repair people to get into the house and killed her.
I didn't either. I'm learning something here.
The plaintiff had the option to sell policy but let it lapse, defendant took it over, he owes her nothing. I think I see where JJ is going with this.
If my ex cashed out his I could care less, she might be entitled to something but just seems petty. Especially banking on someone to die??? I would've never paid on an ex insurance policy
couldn’t care less
She’s an angry woman. If I knew her, it would be at arms length!
I would only pay the premiums if we had minor children. Otherwise if an ex died you may not get anything other than social security to help you support the kids.
FR.
JJ is THE BOSS!🎉❤
LOVE JJ FOREVER!🎉❤
These are some of the reasons why some people say marriage is a business!🙄
Why on earth would an ex be part of insurance policy that involve life and death 😂😂😂you Americans are funny
Took it out while married and never changed it. Then he volunteered it at the divorce.
Cause she paid the premiums while they were married. Why idk..
They were married when they got it. You funny non-American with a hearing problem.
5 kids that are all his and not hers! Maybe that was the PROBLEM?
He is an old man, probably had a life before. She also said he was married before
Judge Judy let’s go!
She was never the owner of the policy. Even if she paid the premiums he could have changed the beneficiary at any time!
Anger…it’s the only thing that lasts…
Im hoping the police in the area watch this, we might be watching this on "First 48" next
I never thought I'd see my last name on a Judge Judy case. 😂
What is the lady in the audience smiling at?
Life insurance is a scam. Just as good to have a savings account.
Never heard if you stop paying into it you loose what you have paid....hence a scam.
There is a cash surrender value.
@@anndeecosita3586 That's what I thought, but JJ and the two kept saying they lost it all. Edit: The payments before the changes.

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This episode coukd have every well eneded up on dateline NBC. An ex having a kife insurance on you is wild
I will NEVER understand why people go nuts during the second marriage and put THAT Ex-wife or ex-husband before the family that was already there before they existed!! It's crazy that she expects half of everything, while his children get scraps they have to fight over. How vile of her, also very suspicious!
Everyone with their assumptions that she wants to try to kill him if that was the case she wouldn't have transferred the policy to him. Lol. She was the only beneficiary for those 3 years if she was going to do something she would have by now. And she certainly wouldn't have transferred it to his name. I think a lot of you don't understand that she doesn't have the ability to sell it like he did because you have to also be the one insured to sell to a third party. In fact you have to have both you have to be the one paying it and the one insured. If he was even a somewhat decent human being he would give her something. Without her he wouldnt have it at all. Not only did she pay half for 11 years but then paid it by herself for 3 more years. Since he didn't actually keep it to leave to his children and sold it to a third party it's only right that he gives her something. Keep in mind she could have simply let it lapse rather than allowing him to transfer it into his name and take it over. But she was kind enough to let him take out over so all the out into it was not lost. He's being a greedy asshole
Oh my!! Yes! The Black women with the gold necklace behind the strange looking white woman defendant is STUNNING!!
The plaintiff is a bitter ex. She seems like a real trip to live with. Yikes.
Why didn't she just cash out the policy if she didn't want to pay on it any more? Stupid to make things so complicated!
Uncross......UNCROSS

Half goes to his wife and the other half goes to his kids and the mother of his kids. 💀It’s just my opinion but I don’t get picking your new wife over your kids. Sad
Agree 100% on the sad part. But technically the new wife is entitled right?
His children are probably adults and he's not supporting them anymore
I said “uncross your arms” before she even told him
😂😂 A true JJ fan!
He is so foolish!! He sells insurance he should have figured what she paid into the policy first before making a contract with her! She has every right to get the total amount!
I took tax law. Having an agreement like this can be considered fraud. You are 100% correct though, it’s foolish.

Re Maine "alot of people aren't turning up to this hearing"...
reminds me of Gordan Ramsey shows, restaurant owner says "my food is excellent" but i don't know why people aren't coming to the restaurant. When in actual fact, the food is terrible & people aren't going to the restaurant for this reason.
Restaurant owner then claims "well no one complained about it before" (to justify terrible food).
People wont go to the restaurant as the food is terrible (its easier to just avoid it) & people wont go to hearings or complain to Politicians as the political system is so broken & corrupt (so its easier to just avoid them).
She has the demanour of Hagrids mother
