THANK YOU doesn't seem adequate, but I REALLY appreciate you posting this video. I was having so much trouble ... and the reason turned out to be because the heat tape was sliding when it was getting hot ... AND ... the instructions for the HTVRont Tumbler Press was telling me to only heat the tumbler for 180 seconds in total. WTF? Finding out about the painters tape is a life saver for me. Again, THANK YOU!!!
I'm so glad I could help! I've had mixed experiences with heat tape and ovens or tumbler presses. Painters tape is my favorite and so much more easily accessible
I was told there was no need to rotate your tumbler in this press. I'm new so I don't know, just trying to get things figured out. Thanks for your tutorial.
I always turn it. I have always gotten ghosting or uneven spots when I don't. I would try both ways and just stick to whatever works for you. But personally, I always turn
I usually use the thinner tape since its easier to work with. But either way you'll be good. Thank you so much! I highly appreciate that. Also, glad you enjoyed and found the video helpful 🙏
@@jenniferblackwell2191 thanks for the input! I still haven't tried it (I lost the wraps 😅😅) but that makes sense. Direct heat would most likely melt it.
Like at all? It could be you're not using sublimation paper, or not using sublimation ink, or the tumbler isn't sublimation friendly. What printer and ink are you using? Tumbler?
Yeah I wouldn't only suggest using shrink wrap when putting it on an oven not the press itself since it has direct heat. You can try like I did and use painters tape
Gotta mess with your settings! Some tumblers might work with lower temperatures. This is what I have found works best for me. Also depends on how it's covered when you put it to press.
On Amazon review for this printer they say 360 Fahrenheit for (60 seconds) so yeah it depends you gone have to run some test w a new press some might not be calibrated the same

Thank you ,I love the video
Thank you so much! I'm glad you found it useful
Thank you. I forsee Painters tape being sold out now lol
😂😂 That'd be funny. Price gouging painters tape 😅😅
I just got this tumbler press and some tumblers, they came with a shrink wrap is it safe to use that wrap on this machine?
I haven't tried! But I'll give it a go and make a video on the results
The shrink wrap to my understanding is for sublimation ovens only.
@@jenniferblackwell2191 thanks for the input! I still haven't tried it (I lost the wraps 😅😅) but that makes sense. Direct heat would most likely melt it.
So what are the tips to make it without mistakes?
My biggest tip is to wrap it as tight as possible. And blue painters tape works great
Please continue to make more crafting videos
Definitely will thanks for watching!
Do u have any coffee cups if you done?
I've done a couple not too many. I can cover it in a video soon 🙂
Why use painters tape and not those heat safe tape?
I just didn't have heat tape on hand to use
What if the picture doesn’t transfer to the tumbler

what size are you printing your image?
9.307 x 8.3
Does it smell like smelly🤢 when u do it?
Sublimation always has a smell when pressing
I did the shrink wrap and it pretty much caught on fire😢

Mine came out burnt looking
Try lowering the temp or time. Or both
I did the temp and all it burnt my tumbler...

@@NekoPrints tried this temp and time and burnt mine also, got mine perfect at 265 temp for 140 seconds

That is entirely too much tape. 😬
🤣🤣 That's the only way I can get it tight enough to press without any fading or ghosting 😭😭
I seen some barely use tape and it works fine some don’t so I guess it depends if you wana risk the tumblr
