We get a lot of requests to do roleplaying music mixes, I had a lot of fun doing this one (and how about that Ager Sonus re-lighting the torch, too fitting for dungeon exploration not to include). If you want to support us, visit our Bandcamp: cryochamber.bandcamp.com
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a clapping. As of asscheeks, gently clapping, clapping at my chamber door. “Tis a visitor” I muttered, “Dummy thicc and nothing more”.
These mixes have turned out to be my favorite backgrounds while writing. The mix between music and sound affects keeps me from tuning in to 'songs' and cuts out the world's distractions. I'm glad I've found them.
So a couple hours ago my father downloaded Ambient 4:on land by Brian Eno off of amazon music because I really wanted to listen to it again.(since someone Else's upload got blocked for now until they can verify it for further use). Then I began to see that this mix got uploaded by sheer coincidence and my inner hype train was about to leave station 6 but I had to delay it because I was halfway done with On land. When I got finished I quickly listened to this Epiphany and it made my day a million times better. Thank you so much I can't wait for the next one!
I don’t play any Role Playing Games, but what a really cool idea! I’m a big fan of a lot of the lore from a few of them, though- I loved reading my older brother’s Dungeons and Dragons rulebooks and Monster Manuals, etc, when I was little- and any fantasy or sci-fi worlds that I can learn about, even through games books, are really interesting to me. My favorite lore is from Warhammer 40,000- I’ve been reading faction Codices and rules and such since I discovered White Dwarf magazine back when I was in 8th grade (1988- damn, I’m getting old!)- My perfect evening now consists of reading a Warhammer novel from the Horus Heresy series while in bed, with my headphones playing a Cryo Chamber mix playlist, curled up with my wife, and our dog sleeping in the middle of us! This mix is already perfect for this, and I’m only about 10 minutes in. Once again- Thank you so much Cryo Chamber, and Atrium Carceri for choosing and assembling this incredible mix- I’m looking forward to listening to this one at least 3 times tonight. Between the recent Cryo playlists and the multiple releases by jonnie13black, I’ll be amazed if I even get out of my bed for the next week! =][=
Cedric Kulacz Yeah- those are generally my first choices to match up with 40K, but it’s subject matter that contains so many influences, and spans several moods (and even genres), that most every Cryo Chamber recording goes well with it, in one book or another. Well pointed out, though! Thanks for the suggestion-
What I think sets this mix above many others is the change in tones, sounds, volume, etc. Many of the roleplaying music mixes are the same thing for an hour with no change to be heard. By the way, when I listened to this all I could think of was the alienist setting known as the Underdark. O-O
Simon, you're a master of making the perfect ambient music for roleplay. Edit: That tip for creating a frequency vacuum for the human voice; I had no idea, and it works really well. Thank you !
5:30 "There, in the depths, beyond all memory of sun and stars, a cosmic, hungering darkness clawing at the sanity of men with whispers and soft tug of hands, they changed."
I just picked up Audio Eq in Chrome Apps and dropped it 1,000 hz. Does anyone have a better audio equalizer recommendation/method or do you all just use Audio Eq? Thanks in advance for any suggestions. : )
These hard stop fat burning ads really kill the mood created by the music. I know you need to make money with ads, shame they have to ruin the setting you created though. :-(

Could you do an SCP Foundation themed mix? I think that would kick ass.
I've never heard of SCP Foundation before, I'll check it out.
Sex slave dungeon atmosphere please. Or torture chamber dungeon please
Do MORE!!
This channel is a gem.
Dungeon ambience! Cryo Chamber just doesn't stop unleashing terrific soundscapes!
The sound of the flint and steel was jarring and magnificent.
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before.
Nice! Love me some Poe ;)

Very good collection. My favourite is Ager Sonus - The Dead City.

I'd think the Lovecraft mix would work better for 40k as that IS a cosmic horror setting.

Good catch, it's inspired by Menzoberranzan!
Excelentes creaciones. Son todo un deleite. CryoChamber llegó para quedarse en mi vida. Saludos.

Liked in less than 10 seconds.. cuz it's Cryo. lol
Another great compilation! I playing this as I'm writing a story taking place in a deep dungeon.
After coming back from a couple months of not listening to dark ambient, I find this and is like, just what the doctor ordered.
Cued up for my next visit to Blackreach! :)
I always end up coming back to your channel!
Perfect music for reading Lovecraft!
Awesome mix...thanx it’s amazing!!!...peace
Soooooo relaxing. I love you guys.
this is surreal, good job👍
Excellently made! Some parts even sounds like the water dripping from the ceiling and into a puddle. However, it does seem a bit busy for a deep cave.

Very nice.

57:23 thanks, i died
what is the archetypal meaning of that mushroom?
death as mere transition
(unless you're freudian, then there's another meaning to an oblong shape inside a cave!)
I'm sad that I found this channel after October...
Are those ducks?
