This is a really good looking forester dude. No overkill. Just recently got a 07 XT and also looking to do some minor mods to improve the off-road abilities. I got 16" wheels with a higher profile, rear lift and belly pan so far, but that wheel and tyre set op of yours looks really nice. We dont have snow this side but some nice muddy off-road trails i wanna hit.
Wow you've been sitting on this vid for awhile. It is nice seeing ❄️ snow ❄️ when it's in the 90's heat index in 100's. Did you have traction control on or did you turn it off?
Haha yup I have! As for traction control, mine does not come with the option to turn off TC (as far as I know) - I believe that came after the SH generation
One Question What size tires do you have on? I have a 2007 I want to have the same as yours go up about 2 inches. Thank you of course and great greetings from Houston, Texas 🇺🇸
Hey RA! Thanks! Reliability has been great! I got the car at around 140K and it's about to hit 180k - been a great car so far. I've done quite a bit of maintenance/replacing wear times as well but has never left me stranded
Hey Sander, There's been a few moments on the rock trails where the low gear would have been great. Not necessary but definitely would have made everything easier. For regular off-road trails with just mud and the occasional bush, I wouldn't think about needing the low gear. A locker would definitely be nice though! Really wished the US models had the hi/lo gear, it'd be great to have
Hey Patrick, I got my 2007 Forester at 140K and it's about to hit 180k miles on the odometer Been a great and reliable car (I've done a lot of maintenance and replaced wear items as well)

Thanks sonix! Glad to hear another SG getting some TLC! Hope you're still enjoying it!
@@davechangauto I definitely am man! What a beast. ✌️
best test for any snow ice is to see how far it comes to a full stop when hitting the brakes
Good point! I agree
My 05 xt runs damn near ur setup n my RUBY never fails me! I'm running toyo at3
Haha that's awesome! Heard those AT3's are great!
Dude i love your Forester! Where did you get the ditchlights and brackets?
Thanks Theo!
I actually DIY'ed the brackets and then the ditch light and light bar are from Tractor Supply Company (in the States/South east)

Hey alfao!
Sorry for late response, I'm running 215/75/15 tires!
Have you had very many issues with CVs or other suspension components from the lift?
Great video man I’m also in NC how has the dependability been on this generation for ya?

That’s awesome man can’t wait to get me a FXT!!!
Dave, have you ever felt you’re missing the hi/lo gearbox in off-road situations?

What year is the Subaru and how many miles we’re on it when you bought it? Thanks
