    A lift isn't necessarily the first thing that should be done to any offroader. It's typically mostly vain.
    My first recommendation is generally to get armor. Then get a winch and other recovery gear.
    Then maybe get appropriate tires. I usually prefer mudders with plentiful siping, unless you drive a lot of pavement. CUV-oriented all-weather ATs would be my choice then, like Falken Wildpeak A/T Trails.
    A recommendation, after appropriate tires, is a rear locker. THEN I would consider a suspension on a Subaru.
    On a different offroader, I might recommend suspension/lift before tires, because it might fit larger tires, but newer Subis still only fit modest-sized tires in the fenders after lifting...unless you're into cutting and forming sheetmetal.

    I love my 07 Forester but yeah, it has no power against the inclines. Great for fuel efficiency and clearance though! Mine has over 200K miles and is still going strong!

    Also the spacer in the rear. Now you need a fat exhaust and a cow catcher in the front with lights.

    I was waiting for you to try that hill 😆Very good points, love my lifted '06, the entry height is super nice for sure especially if you are use to plopping down into small/low cars or climbing up into vans/trucks 😅
    For the front wheel slip if you have an auto look into the center diff lock mod, lets you lock the front wheels with a switch. If its a open diff in the rear, you can get a torq locker insert that is pretty nifty. My foz came with a limited slip in the rear I think it was part of the premium package, it works well, gets sideways without even trying sometimes 😁
    There is also a way to disable the obnoxious seatbelt beep if you plug and unplug the seatbelt 30 times in 20 seconds or something like that, works until you repeat the process or unhook the battery, was so happy when I came across that.
    Subbed and staying tune! cheers!

      Thanks! I haven't been in this car for a while the wrx is too much fun, but I think the diff is slipping so I'll have to look into that switch. Hoping to lift my brother's outback soon!

    Looks like you need to do the true awd center diff lock switch mod next! That 90/10 front/rear power split just ain't working in your favor at the end of the video 😂 the switch mod is quite common and easy to do, and it gives you a true 50/50 front/rear power distribution at the flick of a switch.

    Ok.Did you install a rear trailing arm spacer?What sway bar relocator are you using?Did you put a rear Camber bolt?Hahahah .Sorry about so many questions!Greetings from Brasília!

      Yes, the lift came with a trailing arm spacer, we didn't relocate the sway bar but that's a good idea. There was no camber, we reused the stock bolts (and whole suspension)

    What size Tyres are those and do they rub?

    • @KBrosAuto
      @KBrosAuto  2 місяці тому

      Overall same size as stock so they don't rub. I think it was a 1/2" more rim and 1/2" less tire.
