Hey man. How does one unlock sandbox? I completed a full gladiator run ( after 50 if not more tries xD ) but sandbox never unlocked for me. Anyways this is one of my top 5 games :D
Do you know if the Dev has plans for adding animals, lions or tigers/war elephants? There was this really cool gladiator game on the ps2 that had animals and giants in it. You could pick up heads and limbs and use them as weapons. It was SO fun. Think it was called shadows of rome. If you can find a copy I think you'd really love it. Was a super enjoyable game!
There is a tip at the loading screens in game that reads "Rumor has it the Animals of X Location are going to be brought to the arena" It actually lists the location but cant think of the name off hand.
That over the top " baitclick " title cracked me up 🤭 And the genuine " Yes " ( if I heard correctly ) from the dev at 07:33 is adorable, seems happy to see his hardwork roll as intended !
This video was hella cool from the viewer perspective too, to listen to the game dev backseat game was hilarious and that moment when you decapitated that dude with an axe- you can just hear the joy from all sides, dope ass video 😂🙌🏼
Late comment, but this showed up on my feed. I really, really hope the dev adds nets with the tridents so we can be retiarius gladiators. That would be the dream.
I saw your video series and I liked the M&B and Oblivion arena gameplay so I was hooked. I also liked Domina I think it was called where you manage the gladiators. Bought the game love it so far :) A story campain like in domina would be also very cool.
I love this game, theres few games in the gladiator genre and fewer still that do it well and with it being made by one guy (more now i know) Jordy, i salute you sir, excellent game
awwww I missed the sale, but I dont care, this game looks so much fun and I dont mind at all paying the asking price, hopefully Steam isn't taking too much cream off the top. It's also amazing so much consideration went into the mechanics of the combat like staying in 'measure' as it's called in fencing - making sure you're opponent is at the optimum distance for maximum damage and attacking through your opponent. Honestly I'm sold on this game with that attention to detail alone. A real skill based combat system.

"impossible" ive beaten this game with all classes and 2 times on "gladiator" mode...its hard and the new patches made it harder because you cant use some abuses/bugs anymore but still totally managable the only thing is random shitty matches where you get like two 1vsmany or 1on1 matches with superior enemys...hardest challenge is to not stupidly rush in and kill yourself for glory! But all my respect and love for the creator of this gem! we need more gladiator games!!!!!

I got this game after seeing the first video from Simo on it, haven't played it much as it lacks a Multiplayer element for me, but the dev looks solid so he will probably introduce it at some point. Also would love to see different cultures and locations in the far future💪 Hope his studio enters the hall of fame of game development.
Also waiting and hoping he meets the financial mark to add Multiplayer. Still put more hours into than I have any Single Player Game in recent history.

The dev told me that as far as he knows, no one has actually beat the difficulty yet. So far it is impossible.

Ive only beaten normally difficulty once, I don't think I could last one fight on lionslayer
