    I give you cred, solo dive that deep. I can't even dive. I don't even like fishing solo for safety. Never know what can happen. Lost a friend in high school diving solo. Glad you can document and go back home safe. Mahalo for video brah. Be safe.

    Aloha Elisha, I really wanted to send you this via private message but couldn't figure out how.
    Thank you for sharing on your video not to dive alone. I hope you take this comment with the aloha it is intended. My sons are obsessed with spearfishing. They watch UA-camrs like you and are so inspired. We'll tell them over and over again never to dive alone. When you say not to dive alone but do it anyway, they say, Hey mom! But he does it and he is a professional. Please think of the keiki you are teaching with your actions (not just your words). Mahalo nui from a mom of spearfishing boys

    • @wakeupandlive3386
      @wakeupandlive3386  4 роки тому

      Aloha, I understand what you’re saying and I do get that it’s hypocritical when we say not to dive alone but still do. We understand the risks we take when we do, so many divers even way more experienced then me have lost their lives. All it takes is that one time you push to hard and you won’t be returning home. I do have a partner now days and I’ve only dove alone this one time actually since he started diving with me. Having a partner really takes a lot of stress out of the dive, helps you improve and is there to help you whenever you need it. Not to mention it’s so much better if you have to deal with a shark with someone else and not by yourself. Aloha

      Saucyyy Spearfishing is definitely an amazing sport. The best tips I can give is to relax, focus on all your muscles and fully relax them. You can start with your legs going up your body. You can also practice static apnea on land. Much safer way to train if you don’t have a partner. Gotta learn to push past your contractions and really just get a feel for your body.

    Right on Braddah nice dive .. but one thing I don’t agree with all these divers and young divers nowadays is that these kind of videos shows too much of all the hard work and effort it takes to dive or learn about diving.. you giving out the too much information to those who just do this because they wanna be cool or think it’s easy, they dive for wrong reasons, then they over fish and do careless things in the ocean.. Diving for fish like this should be a privilege and rewarded when you learn on your own and put in the time to bring theses fish home so you can enjoy.. now these videos you and others make , it’s a joke , and discusses me that you don’t cherish the knowledge you’ve learned but you show these lazy people who just cheat and want it to come easy for them...I’m a Hawaiian and I learned from my own experiences and what my dad or other family have tought me , but I went and showed them that I wanted to learn so I can put food on my table without killing everything there is in the ocean just for show.. I’m sure real divers that don’t do these kind of videos will appreciate what I said ... you want something you go get it with your time and put in the hard work for it and only teach people who want it that bad.... Aloha!

      James It’s the Salvimar Hero 115 cm and 105 Hero roller. I really like the normal Hero, everything about it was what I wanted in a gun, cuttlebone shape barrel, reverse mech, ergonomic handle, nice muzzle rise for a good band lay but the biggest complaint I have is I’ve had the trigger lock on me a few times already. You can actually see it happen in one of my videos. It’s kinda a deal breaker for me but one of the better more accurate guns I’ve tested so far

      Alae Farm Estates LLC well I was on a private beach on my lil island called Saipan and I’m hopping in before my moms birthday, thinking maybe I can get some fish for the bbq and 30mins in I split up from my partner thinking I can find sum octopus, I see movement on the right side of me and the water was low vis so I grunted to make sure my eyes weren’t playing tricks on me, and this trevally just comes straight to me and I take a shot and felt the power of this fish and I start yelling for my partner and when I look back at the fish I see this huge 7 ft shark just try to take my fish but i guess it missed lol. So my partner was protecting me from the shark and I swim after this fish and it took some line from my reel, when I finally catch up the fish and held it, I stood up and picked up the fish and my partner goes “yo what did you shoot?” When I showed him the fish, his jaw dropped! I kid you not I started shouting and praying and thanking god, hugging my partner and high fiving! And mind you we’re only in like 4ft of water standing up, we’re still half way out from the shore to the reef and there’s a shark in the water lol! We just started to dive and my partner was like “ bro let’s go in we don’t need anything else” I said “for real let’s go” we start heading in and everyone was cheering and shouting n it was such a blessed day because I got my personal best and it was my moms birthday!

    Your dives are cherry. Your a strong waterman and most aren’t tho.so be careful what you’ll show on video braddah if your gonna say it’s not safe.da scrubs will hit up your spots and die or kill your grounds.trust me I have 30 years diving the whole Big Island commercially.one day I’ll tell you a secret spot Jr. Kanuha told me about 30 years ago . It still holds 150 +lb ulua.yes 150.like those old men in pictures in Kau back 80 years ago. But it’s in Big water 100+ far offshore .Everything out there is Big . I have dove it numerous times with my twin tanks and a propulsion unit .nobody goes there or knows about it but the old school Hawaiians.i don’t shoot ulua commercially . Practice and continue to work safe ,I’ll be watching the respect you give . I’m known as uncle Sean in Kona. My words may not be much but they are true and I have over 30,000 hours diving Big Island waters . Much Respect.

I hope to continue making videos without disrespecting anyone or the ocean. I bet you find some crazy spots staying in the the deep like that. Definitely can find some untouched grounds. What's your average bottom time? :)

      I’m not sure about actual bottom time but my average dive time’s are around 1:40-1:50, on some longer dives I’ll hit 2 minutes or a little past. Usually in depths of 50-70 ft. 🤙🏼
