hooo thats an amazing fish congrats, i was tripping out when he just appeared through that sand cloud
Thanks, yeah I got surprised that it popped out right there, I was expecting to see it swimming in from a far 🤙🏼
I give you cred, solo dive that deep. I can't even dive. I don't even like fishing solo for safety. Never know what can happen. Lost a friend in high school diving solo. Glad you can document and go back home safe. Mahalo for video brah. Be safe.
I’m sorry for your loss man. I definitely don’t condone diving solo and I haven’t dove solo since that day. I dove solo for years and always hated it, knowing if something were to happen, there was no one there. But Mahalo’s for watching and stay safe 🤙🏼
That thing is a beast!! I just got into diving and I’m 15, I really started to respect the ocean and the fish in it. My biggest fish was a 9 pound omelu. Keep up the good content bro, so sick!!
Lorhe Lanui Nice bro, yes the ocean and everything in it definitely deserves respect and can be very humbling. But that’s a solid Omilu brah, keep it up and dive safe 🤙🏼
Yessah nice 🤙
Insane--beautiful fish. Huge score!!!
Thanks 🤙🏼🤙🏼
This guy! Just looking at his watch like he's on land! You da best!
Tylah Flies Mahalo’s braddah 🤙🏼 you’ve been slaying the soft baits, keep up the nice work 🤙🏼

My bradda I no u no this but I jus goons come out at say I lost my best friend dive partner hunting / parter best friend ever in high school and he wasn’t even alone black outs happen hope u all dive safe 🤙🏾🤙🏾
I’m sorry for your lost brah 🙏🏼 and yes, diving with partners and always watching each other is extremely important. So many things can happen in the ocean. It’s always hard to hear when we lose another fellow waterman to blackout.
Epic brother, loved the vblog side and the awesome narration :)
Ascend thanks bro 🤙🏼 glad you’re enjoying all my videos 👍🏼
68.8lb... solid dive braddah... nice ULUA...🤙🏼

Cesar Felix haha! Yeah found him really quick, I was out of the water in like an hour I think. Plus the other diver pulled out another ulua the same day too. Thanks though 🤙🏼
3 lb uhu is my biggest yet, lol still alot to learn but im learning alot from your vids!!! 🤙🏾🤙🏾
kevin lokits jr perfect eating size 👌🏼 and a 3 lb uhu was my biggest fish for a while too , just keep at it and you’ll be getting a bunch of bigger fish, I took years and years of diving before I found my first ulua 🤙🏼
So sick make me want to get back into diving love it so sick
Philip Holman Always great to get back into the water 🤙🏼
Aloha Elisha, I really wanted to send you this via private message but couldn't figure out how.
Thank you for sharing on your video not to dive alone. I hope you take this comment with the aloha it is intended. My sons are obsessed with spearfishing. They watch UA-camrs like you and are so inspired. We'll tell them over and over again never to dive alone. When you say not to dive alone but do it anyway, they say, Hey mom! But he does it and he is a professional. Please think of the keiki you are teaching with your actions (not just your words). Mahalo nui from a mom of spearfishing boys
Aloha, I understand what you’re saying and I do get that it’s hypocritical when we say not to dive alone but still do. We understand the risks we take when we do, so many divers even way more experienced then me have lost their lives. All it takes is that one time you push to hard and you won’t be returning home. I do have a partner now days and I’ve only dove alone this one time actually since he started diving with me. Having a partner really takes a lot of stress out of the dive, helps you improve and is there to help you whenever you need it. Not to mention it’s so much better if you have to deal with a shark with someone else and not by yourself. Aloha
solid!!
Venture Wetsuits Mahalo’s, the comfortable suit definitely helps 🤙🏼
Yessahhhhh
Mahalo’s braddah 🤙🏼
Good stuff Braddah but if osha show might shut you down 😂😂😂
Thanks braddah 🤙🏼
Stay safe too many divers lost last year diving Solo. 🙏
Peter Fortune yeah, sad how many we’ve been losing lately 🙏🏼 having a partner is so important for safety and for improving 🤙🏼
@@wakeupandlive3386 No fish, be it a trophy or a good eating fish, is, worth losing a life.
Nice vid mate! The biggest fish I’ve shot is a 10kg turbot , I spearfish in Norway btw.
Lauritz Lund-Iversen thanks 🤙🏼 10 kg that’s a nice sized fish. Norway, dang you must use like a 7mm suit
WakeUpAndLive * most guys up here use a 7mm all year round. In the winter many prefers a 9mm suit.
Lauritz Lund-Iversen wow! Can you even move around in a 9 mm haha! That’s super thick, we mostly use 3 mm here, some guys dive with just shorts and no shirt even.
Nice fish and nice dive brah. Hey what kind of dive watch you wearing, and do you like it?
Kiko Mac thanks man 🤙🏼 I use an Omer OMR-1 watch and I like it, simple to use and rechargeable. I’m not sure if they are making a different model now though, because when I go on Omer’s website it doesn’t have this watch, it has the MISTRAL, which looks similar.
Nice vid. Wondering how you gonna eat that ulua though ? Feed One big party.
Mark Sawka thanks, the next video is gona show what happens with it 🤙🏼 pupu’s for lots of my friends and family 👌🏼
Solid slammah🤙🏼. What kind of dive watch you running if you no mind Hawaiian?
Mahi Kan-Hai Mahalo’s 🤙🏼 it’s an Omer Omr-1, I think they’re making a different model now though. Definitely a good investment having a dive watch though 👌🏼
WakeUpAndLive * rajah🤙🏼 much mahalos bro
🔨
Lucky lucky just 🤙🏼
Blows my mind how long you can hold your breath down there. I sit here holding my breath and I'm done in half your time. Just like pee my pants done.
Haha! Took some time to get where I’m at, I’m still trying my best to improve 🤙🏼
@@wakeupandlive3386 how do you practice. I've been doing breath holds every day, and I think I'm making small progress, but I don't know if it'll improve my dive time since it's different.
Nice one dawg! I was guessing 65-70ish pounds, close enough.
Mahalo’s, lucky lucky 🤙🏼
I love you uncle Elisha it is me jaxsen
Jax Mahi love you too Jaxsen, thanks for watching 🤙🏼
I just started spearfishing, amazing sport ! Do you have any tips to improve the breathhold ? Great video btw
Saucyyy Spearfishing is definitely an amazing sport. The best tips I can give is to relax, focus on all your muscles and fully relax them. You can start with your legs going up your body. You can also practice static apnea on land. Much safer way to train if you don’t have a partner. Gotta learn to push past your contractions and really just get a feel for your body.
WakeUpAndLive * ty I’m gonna try it out
Right on Braddah nice dive .. but one thing I don’t agree with all these divers and young divers nowadays is that these kind of videos shows too much of all the hard work and effort it takes to dive or learn about diving.. you giving out the too much information to those who just do this because they wanna be cool or think it’s easy, they dive for wrong reasons, then they over fish and do careless things in the ocean.. Diving for fish like this should be a privilege and rewarded when you learn on your own and put in the time to bring theses fish home so you can enjoy.. now these videos you and others make , it’s a joke , and discusses me that you don’t cherish the knowledge you’ve learned but you show these lazy people who just cheat and want it to come easy for them...I’m a Hawaiian and I learned from my own experiences and what my dad or other family have tought me , but I went and showed them that I wanted to learn so I can put food on my table without killing everything there is in the ocean just for show.. I’m sure real divers that don’t do these kind of videos will appreciate what I said ... you want something you go get it with your time and put in the hard work for it and only teach people who want it that bad.... Aloha!
Where are your two Roi to balance the reef? Enjoy life means also to protect your reef
I see you using a Salvimar. What model and size are both your guns and how do you like them?
James It’s the Salvimar Hero 115 cm and 105 Hero roller. I really like the normal Hero, everything about it was what I wanted in a gun, cuttlebone shape barrel, reverse mech, ergonomic handle, nice muzzle rise for a good band lay but the biggest complaint I have is I’ve had the trigger lock on me a few times already. You can actually see it happen in one of my videos. It’s kinda a deal breaker for me but one of the better more accurate guns I’ve tested so far
WakeUpAndLive * right on bro! Thanks! I’ve had a 110 Picasso for a looooong time and due for an upgrade that’s why I ask. That 115 of yours is deadly! Mahalo 🤙🏽
James Well there’s lots of options out there now, so you got a lot to pick from. Thanks, I do enjoy using it, I’ve actually taken my biggest Ono with it also.
@@wakeupandlive3386 hi bro, is your salvimar rollergun comes with a roller muzzle when you bought it? Or just upgade it to a roller?
duk gums I had to buy it as a roller, I read somewhere that they don’t sell the Hero components separately because they want to make sure that it’s correctly sealed or something like that
i got a 25 kilo Spanish mackerel about 1 year ago i was only 15 that was my biggest fish i've shot so far
Solid fish, especially at your age, my biggest fish when I was 15 was probably like 3-4 Kilos. I wish we had Mack’s over here, closest thing to that we have are Wahoo 🤙🏼
Man I spear in Cali and I can’t even stay down more than a minute i don’t know how you do it
Noah Cook just gotta keep going and even do some apnea training to improve 👌🏼
my biggest fish so far was a 18 pound ulua inside the reef in 4 to 5 ft of water, and got shark chased but thankfully didnt get taxed lol
R3PRKING670 96 After all these years of diving, I have luckily never been chased by a shark yet and only been taxed once. But glad you got out safely and landed a solid fish 🤙🏼
@@wakeupandlive3386 it was a life or death situation but ayy it was worth it 🤙🏽
R3PRKING670 96 we gotta hear more of this story
Alae Farm Estates LLC well I was on a private beach on my lil island called Saipan and I’m hopping in before my moms birthday, thinking maybe I can get some fish for the bbq and 30mins in I split up from my partner thinking I can find sum octopus, I see movement on the right side of me and the water was low vis so I grunted to make sure my eyes weren’t playing tricks on me, and this trevally just comes straight to me and I take a shot and felt the power of this fish and I start yelling for my partner and when I look back at the fish I see this huge 7 ft shark just try to take my fish but i guess it missed lol. So my partner was protecting me from the shark and I swim after this fish and it took some line from my reel, when I finally catch up the fish and held it, I stood up and picked up the fish and my partner goes “yo what did you shoot?” When I showed him the fish, his jaw dropped! I kid you not I started shouting and praying and thanking god, hugging my partner and high fiving! And mind you we’re only in like 4ft of water standing up, we’re still half way out from the shore to the reef and there’s a shark in the water lol! We just started to dive and my partner was like “ bro let’s go in we don’t need anything else” I said “for real let’s go” we start heading in and everyone was cheering and shouting n it was such a blessed day because I got my personal best and it was my moms birthday!
R3PRKING670 96 that’s awesome man 👍
Your dives are cherry. Your a strong waterman and most aren’t tho.so be careful what you’ll show on video braddah if your gonna say it’s not safe.da scrubs will hit up your spots and die or kill your grounds.trust me I have 30 years diving the whole Big Island commercially.one day I’ll tell you a secret spot Jr. Kanuha told me about 30 years ago . It still holds 150 +lb ulua.yes 150.like those old men in pictures in Kau back 80 years ago. But it’s in Big water 100+ far offshore .Everything out there is Big . I have dove it numerous times with my twin tanks and a propulsion unit .nobody goes there or knows about it but the old school Hawaiians.i don’t shoot ulua commercially . Practice and continue to work safe ,I’ll be watching the respect you give . I’m known as uncle Sean in Kona. My words may not be much but they are true and I have over 30,000 hours diving Big Island waters . Much Respect.
Thanks Uncle, I know what you mean. I wasn’t thinking when I started making these video’s. So I was showing off spots without thinking about the background in my video’s. Now days I try my best to give respect to the spots and not to show them, even cutting out when I surface and show the land. I hope to continue making videos without disrespecting anyone or the ocean. I bet you find some crazy spots staying in the the deep like that. Definitely can find some untouched grounds. Dive safe and stay safe Uncle 🙏🏼🤙🏼
Buy one blue yeti and boooom your vids are 100 times better... still love your vids tho just a thought
Kaikonu haha! I wish to bad they cost double of my Aussie coolers, but one day maybe, thanks glad you enjoyed though 🤙🏼
Talking is much better than the music videos
UhWarrior1993 thanks for the input and hoping to do more voice overs from now on 🤙🏼
WakeUpAndLive * I think that is what people enjoy the most. What you’re thinking, what fish you are looking for, technique.
Would love to see you shoot some of those toaus too haha
UhWarrior1993 yeah, I think it gives them an inside perspective and it’s more personalized when you talk. But yeah I need to start shooting more invasives again, plus fried toau and ta’ape taste good 🤙🏼
do you worry that sharks will come in when you cut the gills?
kiM_bAb Well the thought is always there in the back of my mind, but it’s just one of the risks we deal with when spearfishing
How deep are you guys diving?..
Joseph Rangamar I actually say the depths in the videos, but the first dive was 57 ft, then 69-71 ft for the other dives. I try to stay in 50-70 ft water for majority of my dives 👌🏼
What kind of watch u have on in d video
Hazael Treshawn It’s an Omer Omr-1, I think they stopped making this one and are making the MISTRAL now though.
he said warmup dive. my guy stayed under for years.
lil Copy nah, you should see some of my friends, they stay down for centuries 😂
Can’t wait to shoot an ulua
Shot my biggest fish yesterday was a 25 pound awa on pole was a 85 pound ulua wanna shoot one bad
Aloha Rascals Nice, that’s a huge Awa, I think my biggest is only half that haha. That’s still a solid fish on the spear and that’s a huge Ulua on the pole 🤙🏼
23 is my biggest from whipping
That’s a nice fish on the whip 🤙🏼
What's your average bottom time? :)
I’m not sure about actual bottom time but my average dive time’s are around 1:40-1:50, on some longer dives I’ll hit 2 minutes or a little past. Usually in depths of 50-70 ft. 🤙🏼
@@wakeupandlive3386 nice! Cheers! 🍻
My biggest fish is only 45
JM’S Gaming That’s a solid fish 🤙🏼
WakeUpAndLive * thanks
18 pound uhu
Christian Pryor Dang, that’s a huge Uhu, I know the state record is 18 lbs right now 🤙🏼
i was in australia
it was actually my friend that shoot it
Christian Pryor ooh I see, still a big parrot fish.
if that was in oahu that wold be so rare
