I LOVE the silicone hexagon fitness pads! Maybe they're not comfortable for you because you don't have hair, but they help provide extra grip and stability during extreme movement like dancing. It's nice they give you the option, nobody else does.
I use the other back pad and love it. Might be better for those of us with Hair? It feels like it moves around less for me when I use that instead of the pleather pad I actually liked the sound when I put the battery on. Guess I’m weird haha
That gooey thing you were waiving around called a honeycomb accessory is used to grip the back of your head better for your jerky sudden head turns! Useful for very sporadic physical VR experiences. Not for comfort, but for performance.
I just got the quest 3. Looking at the bovo m3 pro. Ppl complain about its not powerful enough to keep the quest 3 charge. If its able to keep the quest 3 at same charge, then having 2-3 should keep it from losing battery on the headset.
The honeycomb pads are for people with you know... hair on their head. They have better grip so they actually stay in place instead of sliding around your head and riding your hair all the way to the top of your head, like the faux-leather one does.
I agree with the review, my BoboVR M3 Pro is super comfy, feels really nicely cushioned front and back. Mine took three weeks to arrive from China, so yeah, it took a while! I've also found that the Bobo B2 battery is excellent contrary to people saying it's no good. There's four lights on the battery that gradually extinguish and by the time mine was on the last light I'd used the Quest 3 for just under 2 hours and then I switched off while that light was still on. So I think I could have gotten over 2 hours on it. And my Quest 3 battery was still on 100%. I think I'll order a second battery as well so I can hotswap and put the dead one on charge. Given that it takes about two hours to charge, in theory I shouldn't run out of battery. I must admit, I haven't noticed any buzzing but I'll listen out for it now.
what types of games/experiences were you doing on your Quest 3? if pass-thru was on, might this change how long the battery lasts? I've heard things about buzzing and about the batteries not being anywhere near the 20W or so max draw on the Quest - though no doubt, you can at least slow down the discharge on the main battery if not actually charging it. It sounds like maybe you were not taxing the Quest very much is all..
@@joshkar24 To be fair, I've not been playing action games. I've got Resident Evil 4 and when I start that game I'll see how long the battery lasts. I've been playing The Room: A Dark Matter and got two hours out off the Bobo battery but yeah, I guess it's not a particularly battery taxing game.
The fact that they banned you because you filed a charge-back due to faulty product + lack of customer service is insane lol It's not like there's anything else you could've done...if they just straight up ignored you...
I actually wanted an extra ding from the strap. The battery dies without alerting the user about exchanging it. Curious that it dings when you connect, which isn't super useful, but won't ding when you need to replace it, which you will only know about if you go check if it's still charging the device.
I was able to RMA my Elite Strap w/Battery. It took several emails back and forth and I had to sign up for a FedEx account. We’ll see how long it takes for a replacement to arrive and whether it craps out like my first one. Based on this review, I just ordered a Bobo since I have no faith in Meta and the rubber band head strap I am using now is a torture device on my head.
9:25 The noise is due to the battery not enough watts/amps to keep up with Quest3. That's been explained on several other videos. I haven't tried BoboVR yet. I have the Meta Elite with Battery strap on Q2 and Q3. Meta decreased the battery size in the Q3 strap and not sure why. I have to keep an Anker 45w adapter with long USB cable to charge it while wearing it on long sessions. It charges both the strap and internal headset battery. But all these third parties don't have high power batteries for Q3. You need at least 18w+ and 3A or 5A for it to work properly.
Meta replaced my faulty extended headstrap with one that works. I I have the Bobo M2 for my quest 2 which I enjoy. I do agree the Meta headstrap is more comfortable than my Bobo M2 and would be interested in daisy chaining something like the Anker 45 w adapter with long USB cable... can you share the link where you purchased it?
Received my mount today. The Bobo battery also makes an annoying noise. But only when my helmet is charged more than 70% Try playing in the 45-65% range Then absolutely no noise!
I far prefer the comfort of the BoboVr strap to the Elite strap which I sent back. I never liked the uncomfortable slightly painful pressure on my face that the Elite strap created. Beside that, it felt cheap and looked like it would eventually break. You are right, there is no fan inside the BoboVR battery packs. What is making the high pitched noise is solid state circuitry that acts to convert voltage from one level to another. I'm very happy with the quality and fit of the BoboVR strap. The only official Meta accessories I have are the silicon facial interface and the handstraps but I thought that their prices were a rip-off. But the biggest rip-off for a Meta accessory in my opinion, is the completely unneccessary charging dock they sell which costs an outrageous 175 dollars in Canada. Why should I spend any money on it when I can simply plug in a usb power cable into the headset ? The inexpensive rechargable batteries I use for the controllers don't need charging for weeks so that part of their charging dock is useless. If you do use their dock and the provided rechargable batteries inside the controllers eventually die, Meta will charge you 100 dollars to replace them............. an outrageous money-grab.
The quest headstrap I got initially worked greatly for 3-4 days, then I got weirdness where the light on the strap would be orange permanently / not charge headset when powered on, and then the headset would be green. However, not sure if meta fixed something, but they now both charge fully as of a few days ago, and seem to work pretty good. Maybe a software update? Sorry to hear how meta treated you, they suck. Anyways, appreciate the review, might get the bobo. PS: Change your smoke alarm.

Hows the FOV on the quest 3 with this headset? With this setup the headset is not pressed against your face like with the elite strap or other types of straps, which gives you massive gains on your FOV even when we're talking about millimiters.
The way I wear it it's still pretty tight on my face as that's what I prefer. FoV seems fine to me but I'm not that picky and have no way to give you a measurement or comparison to other headsets. I prefer elite style straps tho

Hey Darren, sorry for this late reply but you can use this specific strap with the battery removed, or with the battery on but empty. I’m sure you can find non-battery halo straps as well, but having the empty battery on may help act as a counterweight and make you more comfortable. Hope I could help!
So I'm I converted my m2 pro to the m3 with the retrofit kit. While the battery doesn't juice it up, I finished a 4 hour virtual desktop pcvr session with 64% on the actual headset remaining. Obviously that's PCVR and not standalone processing, but that number alone is more than enough for me. The comfort of course is ideal for me as well . Also it's interesting because myself and a lot of others actually like the ding on connection :/ Also can't say that I've ever heard a noise from it charging. Perhaps that's the quests inbuilt cooling you're hearing or maybe a faulty unit? Would be interesting to hear if other people have that issue

yeah its so good the battery doesnt even keep it charged... come on dude stop shilling bad products you're just killing your channel.
Dude it will last indefinitely. You will kill 4 of these batteries in a row before you need to use your quest battery, and by that time the first one will be recharged and oh you'll have been in VR for 10+ hours straight
It's terrible. The mask is dangling with him. The battery is not powerful enough for the Quest 3. The mount is terrible and ruins the headset. And the mounting location looks like crap.
