- (No more audio crackling, great) I originally just wanted to explore The Plexus itself and not the courses but damn, some of those courses were interesting and I couldn't miss the opportunity.
Savestates were once again used in order to explore The Plexus, so that I wouldn't have to waste more of my time trying to find where I was last time. Enjoy the video! - Ігри
i think the weirdest part while playing this is finding levels that look like the real ones in the main game,it's like after wandering for hours you find a familiar area just to then be sent to another floor of the castle that seems to never end
I agree, wandering inside the castle for hours with all sorts of courses thinking you wouldn't be able to return to those vanila courses, only to find a familiar looking course from the vanila game. If I was a child then that would have freaked me just a little bit because of how unexpected it would have been to find this out.

I feel like the familiarity starts at 9:30. This definitely would have spook me as a kid. Just look at those paintings wall and to the point of seeing bowser paintings. Is like I seen it before in the main game from the past. 🙄 just to find out is not actually
This rom hack is a total trip. I bet if something like this existed on some random M64 cartridge during the 90s, the entire gaming community would’ve lost their minds.

Funny thing, for me i just randomly find peach's ghost just leading me to different areas. She dissapears when I approach. Not sure what its about.

It was kinda easy for me to find it, I have noticed that alot of people can't seem to find it yet you just have to explore the area a bit more to find it. That's fine though, we always make mistakes and we can't really do anything about them. Btw no problem

I wonder what happened to the textures at 0:27, that lobby with the messed up whomp's fortress and nothing else usually has normal shoshinkai lobby textures
About the messed up textures part: I think it happens the more you play the game, don't know if it's because of the star counter or not but I noticed that when other people got this they got higher star count like 70 or more stars, so maybe I just got lucky there.
About the different Whomp's Fortress part: The game can teleport you there randomly at the start of the game when you enter the front doors of the castle (The messed up texture part isn't related to this specific lobby since it can happen to absolutely any lobby in the castle). The level itself is a reference to the romhack called "sm64.z64" made by Jefftastic. I recommend you checking it out if you're interested. You can just Google "sm64.z64 romhack" and then you can go to the website that starts with "romhacking". Can't put an actual link since UA-cam doesn't like external links except for the links to the UA-cam videos of course. Hope this clears some things up.
Tl:dr: The texture change can happen randomly, don't know if it's because of the star count or not. You can go to that lobby if you get lucky enough when you enter the front doors at the start of the game.

@@JohnSmith-wv5km So the textures thingy is kinda weird, I mostly saw people documenting it when they first encountered it when they had like alot of stars, like 80 or more stars. Maybe this thing just happens when your playtime in general gets big enough where it happens more and more, or maybe it depends on the star count and how frequent it should occur and I just got lucky, who knows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Since i'm not a creator of this hack I can't tell for sure but you can try talking to him on his discord server, you can find it under the description of his videos, his channel is mentioned under the desc. of this video so you can talk about him like right now if you want to. I've always wondered if this hack can run in mobile because every time i start the game ,after the select file screen it crashes,also good video
Version 0.7 runs but 1.0 doesn't
It's because you're using a Mupen based emulator (basically every N64 emulator on android since all of them use mupen core) and the game can't run on Mupen due to rom being over 64 megabytes limit, so the only way is to play on Project64 on PC or by using parallel-launcher which is also on PC only. But what if I tell you that you can play this version on android? Basically you get the X8 sandbox (Android emulator on android) from the internet, then you get the patch for it if you're using android 12 or higher, after that you download the latest version of Project64 on your phone and the patched 1.0 rom that you patch yourself, and after all of that you set the emulator up, locate the rom and then you can play.
Yeah but what does a android emulator have to do with a Windows program would it have more sense if i use exagear or wine for android?
@@ApioPro Project64 actually had an Android version of it, you can find it easily by just typing "Project64 APK" and you can install it into the android emulator so it would work correctly since Android 10 and higher broke some stuff for Project64 accidentially and so it doesn work anymore, keep in mind that back in like 2019 they discountinued it because of some issues so it may not work correctly all the times but it works fine for me, I hope it also works for you. About Wine or exagear, well, I have no idea, you can still try it and tell me what the result are because maybe there's more ways to play this version on the phone that I thought

Is the game playable on real hardware? I've been wanting to get a ED64 plus, but I think due to the 96mb size and the RTC it might not work at all.
Yeah it doesn't work on a real hardware. Although N64 did support the RTC because of the version of animal crossing that was released only in japan for N64 (It's basically the same version as the gamecube one) but due to 96 megabyte rom and other things, such as custom stuff that may not work at all on the real N64, since the hack wasn't build with the real hardware in mind (Although that's just a speculation of mine about custom stuff, since nobody tried running it on the N64 before so who knows) it won't work.

In the original version of that level, the bob omb just wants to get down (but apparently the game loves spooky so they added a water crystal and suicide bob omb)
Not only that, the vanish cap box used probably is the only one in the game (well the textures at least) (or maybe im just misremembering)

Yeah the .bps file is called "b3313_abandoned" so that's pretty much why I called it like that, since the development for this game has been resumed however the devs and the community started calling it v0.9, there's also a 2.0 version planned that will be using decomp as it's base, although it's definitely gonna be awhile before that version comes out but that's pretty much it.
Oh, development is still going on? Good lord. Too bad even with all the creepy secrets throughout the hack, there still most likely won't be a Wario Apparition, I remember hearing someone said the devs didn't want to add it for being too much.
@@RobertTheFoxxoHello again, sorry for the random message but if you're still interested about this hack, well it got canceled. Due to some stupid drama happening the official version of 1.0 is now canned, although there's the unofficial version of the 1.0 called "B3313 Unabandoned" which fixes so many star ids so that the game actually becomes pretty fun to play (Unlike the Abandoned build, which is understandable since it was never finished in the first place), adds new areas and fixes some bugs if I remember correctly. It's your choice if you wanna play the Unabandoned version but just saying that it is better than Abandoned by a mile. Have a great day/night!
