The Most Dominant Team In Modern NASCAR History

  • We have seen specific drivers dominate NASCAR like Kevin Harvick, Martin Truex, Jr., and Kyle Busch but sometimes there are entire teams that are ridiculously fast and end up taking control of the sport for some spans of time. That is what Hendrick Motorsports managed to do in 2007 in the Cup Series. Between having a new car, new format, and tough competition HMS managed to put together one of the most dominant seasons for an organization in all of NASCAR history. This is the most dominant team in modern NASCAR history.

    • @ThorneyGryffon
      @ThorneyGryffon 3 роки тому +4

      I think you give HMS the 90s, maybe a slight lead into the 2000s, but the 2010s you have to go JGR. After 2010 you has Edwards, Kenneth, Hamlin and Busch winning or top 5 everywhere. Jimmie was winning some, but mostly cruising in the summer until the playoffs. Jr won a few superspeedway races. Gordon wasn't winning anymore, the 5 car was pretty a non competitor.

    Jeff Gordon scored a 5th place average finish in The Chase with 2 wins, 6 top 5 finishes, 9 top 10s with his worst finish being 11th.

    The funny thing is Gordon and Johnson won all the Crown Jewels in their first 5 seasons. It took Harvick until 2014 to win the final of the 4 he needed. Stewart never won a 500. It took Busch 14 years to win the 600. Hamlin still doesn’t have a Brickyard or a 600. Chase needs to start knocking those out because that separates you from the rest. Championships, shit ton of wins, and Crown Jewels.
