As a scientist and engineer this type of stuff fascinates me. Not only that but as I get older I’m starting to look at the collective picture of how many hours a year I spend using my push mower and how there are so many other homeowner tasks that I could be working on, and I’m beginning to think this purchase is a wise investment. It would realistically pay for itself within the first few years so I think I might just do it. How long have you had this one? Does it work well or have any issues?
Yep exactly. I've had it for about a month and it's working well. The only "issue" is when it gets really far away from the RTK and doesn't have a clear view of the sky for GPS (I have some trees) it can be a couple feet off, so I have to plan for that when doing the edge. But this allows me to cut 95% of my lawn with it accurately and I just go around and use the weed eater to get stuff at the edge, which I'd need to do anyway.
Doesn't look like it is cutting much grass.
Haha that part of the lawn was cut short and then it didn't rain much so it's a little browner. But it does cut well. You can kind of see it more towards the back at the start of the video.
With typical spinning blades, or hedge-clippers hidden under there?
It uses spinning blades but they are different than normal - smaller
